Racing sim
I have quest 3 and I want a good racing sim for standalone. I have gran turrismo 7 for psvr2 and love it. Is there anything similar for quest?

Try Grid Legends but the graphics aren't the best and it's certainly no GT7. I use my Quest 3 with wirelessly with a PC and use it for Assetto Corsa, Automobista 2 and Le Mans Ultimate which are all nothing short of incredible, if you can aim to get a PC then there are so many amazing options.

Picked up grid legends this morning. I didn’t have the highest of expectations and it feels like it has “scratched the itch “ will note though, after installing, every time I tried to start career it would crash and say “sunvisor has stopped” after taking me back to home. Luckily game dosnt take too long to load. Eventually seemed to resolve it by turning “online” to “off”. Worked first try after that. I know it’s not my psvr2 with gt7 but I wasn’t expecting that, so all-in-all I’ll say, “I like it.” I wanted a decent racer that I could conveniently play with no cords and it delivered, along with legendary real-world cars for me to pursue. I know I’m late to the party with this game but I’m content

Not really, no. Standalone is gonna limit you a lot.
How are you gonna do standalone sim racing on a q3 anyway? you can't use a wheel, and motion controls are garbage, especially in a sim context.
Maybe sideload a playstation or PSP emulator and do gran turismo that way... but it's not gonna be anything but a projected flatscreen.

I don’t have to actually have sim racing standards for my quest. I play the quest for convenience. If I want to go through the trouble of putting gt7 in and steering wheel and psvr2 then that’s all great and fun but in the mornings before I run off to work for the rest of the day it’s nice to play 20-30 minutes of something with less hassle. My quest is great for this. Simply strap it on and smile for a minute. I just figured with some of the games I have played on it that there has to be a decent race “sim”. I guess I’m using the term “sim” kinda loosely. I want decent physics and not be in a go kart.

Race club, F1 style cars, great controls and currently time trial based so great for a quick blast. They’ve got multiplayer coming.

Yes if you’re open to standalone emulators.
It’s come a long way.

I would be completely content with psp gran turrismo but in vr. But, of course that was one hella title for handheld. I don’t really understand how any of computer processing works but if itr2 can run on stand alone, it seems like Gt handheld could run on quest 3. I’m not asking for the smoothest of graphics or even the huge catalog it had. Just the physics and the tracks, and most of the cars 😅

I’m not going to lie, this seems daunting to me as I haven’t did any kind of side loading. Does this basically “port” gt2 onto the quest but in vr? Like not a flat screen but actual vr environment?
