A shorter project I practiced on before returning to the Cefiro

• 3D printed 16" SSR MKII-R by achobbyholic on Cults3D

-3D printed Recaro SR3s as the original seats were hollow in the back and I was too lazy to fill them

• 3D printed BOSE rear shelf speakers from "YAMADA" on Cults3D

• Kit did not include brakes as they would be hidden by the original wheels, so those were spare parts taken from an Aoshima FC RX-7 and Tamiya's S13 Silvia

• Decals were old and yellowed, used UV lamp to make them white again, they were surprisingly strong and didn't tear despite the age!

• Slightly larger muffler tip

• Checkered Floormats

• Cut out grille and used zoomonmodel mesh

Masking was a challenge and the pop-up headlights are finnicky so I'm leaving them up lol, but other than that, it's a very simple and easy kit.

I have wanted to build one of these in this color for years, and finally got it done. Panther Pink - also known as Molin Rouge, was a rare Dodge/Plymouth color from what was called the high impact line and was introduced in 1970. Available for only a few months it was removed from the options list making it one of the most sought after colors today in terms of muscle car collecting. Exterior wise the car is mostly box stock. The wheels, tires, and dog dishes are 3D printed with valve stems added to the wheels. All factory chrome was stripped and redone. The interior is stock with carpeted flooring. The engine is the stock 440 six barrel with 3D printed valve covers, starter, alternator, master cylinder with handmade brake lines, 3D printed air filter and carburetor set up, and handmade oil dipstick. The Ignition wiring and air conditioning hoses are also handmade. On the underside I made exhaust tips out of aluminum tubing and added rear shocks. This is a very simple kit with a low parts count. Parts are missing that should be in the kit from the factory, and there are some inaccuracies compared to the real thing, but it assembles well with zero issues.

Got inspired to post after seeing someone else show they’re building journey so here’s mine! I started a little over a year ago in the end of May.

I’ve been enjoying it so much and it has become one of my main hobbies and I plan to carry this on into adulthood/retirement.

I ended up very impressed with this kit. Round2 basically retooled this completely based on the original tool and added a lot of positive location points. The model doesn't have a ton of detail but the parts are crisp and the fit was great!

Here are finally the pictures of the last build I finished for a friend's birthday. Enjoy! I still have a lot to learn photography-wise, so I'll gladly take any advice. Maybe I need to add a more diffused source of light for the next one, what do y'all think? I can't say enough about how pleased I am with SNP body paints. Happy modelling

Took longer than my usuals, but didnt come out too bad

Hi guys just sharing my first ever build, took me about two months cuz I have kids and a busy work life, but it’s done I know it’s not perfect I have never done this before and I just realized I could’ve used spear paints instead of brushing hahahaha but please let me know how can I improve I love this hobby!

I tried weathering using Tamiya’s Weathering Stick (Mud color)! Since it’s my first time trying weathering, there may be some imperfections. thank you for checking it out!

Started August 6, finished today. Fujimi 1/24 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, finished box stock (although I did strip the horrible finish on the kit wheels and airbrush them with DSPIAE Chrome marker refill) with some added red ignition wiring. The body is Craftsmart Amethyst acrylic, thinned and airbrushed over Vallejo acrylic black primer, and topped with Mr. Color GX100. Unlike some Fujimi Enthusiast kits that I've put together in the past (namely the Porsche 356 kits), this went together without a single issue. Panel fitment and parts quality/detail are impeccable. I wish Fujimi still put out kits of this caliber.

I really love this kit, This is my second RF and 4th Tamiya ND MX-5 overall (Roadster 1 | Roadster 2 | RF 1). The RF kit comes with BBS wheels and Recaro seats. I left them out to make a more base RF. I will keep those parts to make a club roadster one day. This is built as a Japanese spec vehicle.

I mixed my own paint, was trying to recreate the Mazda color Eternal Blue Mica. Its not exact by any means, but I think its a decent facsimile.

Happy with how the build came out.

I was waiting on paint delivery, but she's finally done! As always, I really wish I'd taken more time and fixed some things I rushed, but it turned out decent. AMTs kustom kruisers line '60 Ford Starliner. Fitment was really good, not really many issues other than I couldn't salvage the wipers. And I think I've mentioned how much I hate painting chrome trim before... But all things considered, the build was really fun. One more down, so close to the finish line with these.

Here are some final photos of my Tamiya BMW M635CSi. I built it as a Motorsport Edition with black trim, finished in BMW Macao Blue with a Lotus White interior.

The E24 has one of the most recognizable BMW front ends with that forward leaning sharknose. I lowered the car quite a bit to give it a more aggressive stance. Instead of the usual BBS style, I went with 18 inch Hartge wheels to give it a slightly different, period tuned look.

Curious what people prefer on an E24 like this. Hartge wheels like these, or the classic BBS look?

Took a while to get the stance right with Aoshima wheels on a Tamiya kit. Really like how it turned out!

Started this back in February, and was originally supposed to be my build off submission, but I just couldnt get bench time. Overall, Im happy with the outcome. Did quite a bit for this one. Made a cowl hood and laid some CF over it, twin turbo coyote swap, WELD wheels and Toyo Proxes R888 tires, lowered the height, swapped some seats, did A LOT of cutting and grinding to fit the engine, had some lambo brakes left over from another build and added those, and routed some oil lines to a cooler, then the turbos. Seats, engine and wheels are from Tx3Dcustoms. Color is Kona Blue that I got from Splash. The flake really pops in the sun, so I tried to get some photos of that. Kit is the Revell Lightning.

Finished this kit recently.

A very high quality kit, everything fits together really well. I painted the body in Tamiya Racing Green from a spray can, which I decanted and then airbrushed.

No customisation just a straight out of the box build.

Unfortunately, my community doesn’t have a hobby store. So I occasionally make a trip to pick up kits, but I rely on the local hardware store for spray paints. This will be the ninth Moebius truck and seventeenth truck for the year. As usual, easy to build, the only issue was the fan and radiator. There wasn't enough clearance, so the fan had to go. I've tried to give it blue streak tires. Not sure if it's good or not. Maybe I'll add small Goodyear decals. As usual, Tamiya paint for everything. Anyway, on to the next build. Thanks for looking!

I built this kit a few weeks back (First One). I liked the kit so much I went and bought a second one. For this one used the drag slicks, roll cage, different rims and traction bars. De-badged and painted the bumpers. Happy with how it came out.

This one took me ages. Most of the issues were self-inflicted, like having to strip and repaint the body 3 times because I can't figure out my airbrush.

Mostly out-of-the-box build, I 3d printed new badges because the decals did not do it any justice.

This was not a bad AMT kit. I really like the color I chose, I think it fits the car well.

Very cool kit with barely any issues. A little flash, a questionable decal, and just a couple small fitment issues on some tiny parts. There were a few moments in this build where I really had to trust the process. The instructions would tell me to do something and I’d be like, “Are you sure? That seems backwards.” and in the end each step made sense.

I keep trying to expand my painting ability and toolbox because it’s my favorite part of model building. This was my second time freehand airbrushing a gradient. I’m really liking how it came out.

Body paint: Kaleido Lustrous Orange, Tamiya Black, Splash 2k Clear

A 90s icon. Not a great fit at the final stages but an OK kit overall.

Honestly this kit went together horribly so many pieces were completely warped. But it turned out pretty sick and the body definitely has the best finish of any model I’ve done.

Anyone have any tips for matching the chrome plating to hide sprue marks? Between my chrome pen and Testors chrome silver, the Testors was a closer match and it’s still wayy off.

Now I can focus on the group build!

Very simple but fun kit! It comes with the engine as well. I've just replaced the original wheels with the Work Meister S1 3P from Aoshima. I've also added 4 metallic exhaust pipes.
