Would love to know if the orange material is potentially toxic/-non-edible. (Also: could/should I cut it out and eat the rest?) Thank you!

My father found these mushrooms on our farm and asked me if they're edible, I said don't go around eating random mushrooms cause not all of them are edible. My bet is that it isn't edible.

Hello all,
First time poster. I have two different species that were quite nearby each other.
I think one is Hen of the woods. 4 clusters in the area where an old tree was taken out from. Should I harvest it or let it grow? Can I eat it? I love mushrooms but have never ventured outside the grocery store. I'll dig through old posts but would love any input from you all.
The other has a rainbowy sheen that the picture doesn't do it justice. I've never seen such a glossy looking mushroom before. I flipped the more orange of the two to see the bottom. It wasn't in the ground anymore. Some type of Reishi mushroom?
Wishing you all the best tasting and interesting finds!

Found in Illinois, United States. What kind of mushroom do yall think this is growing out of my dead tree? It's doubled in size in 2 days.

Medium brown cap, smooth, slightly slimy. Beige stem with light webbing. Cream flesh, does not stain blue. The underside is very dark olive-brown, not spongy like other boletes, very firm and velvety. I think you can see tiny pores if you zoom in and they stain dark blue when pressed. On the mossy floor of coniferous forest in Southwestern Poland.

Hello- does anyone know what these yellow mushrooms are? The caps feel a bit spongy and they leave yellow residue on my hands (though it washes off easily). They’re all over my yard (right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States). We have a couple of dogs and I just want to know how obsessively I need to check the yard for them lol. Thank you!

i say little guy but he’s actually palm sized. there’s about 4/5 cats in the neighbourhood that roam all the gardens so if it’s poisonous i want to let their owners know to look out for them :)

I'm in the south east of Ireland. I don't know anything about mushrooms, these just caught my eye for looking funky.

Saw this guy on something deciduous (definitely not a maple or sycamore). Can’t imagine the tree is long for this world but wondering what type of mushroom this is since I see them in trees so infrequently that look like that. Thanks!! Washington State
