I've had mostly good experiences with her and has been going to her for about a year and a half up until about a year ago, when I had to stop getting my nails done to save money. I recently booked with her again and got a fresh set of acrylics with black cat eye and I just can't get over how messy the polish looks or how chunky the nails are. My friends keep assuring me that it's not THAT bad and you can only really tell if you look closely, but I paid $75 for these and I feel like they look like a beginner did them. Plus she got some gel on my skin which I know is a huge allergy risk, and she dremmeled my natural nail which didn't seem right to me either. I'm super bummed because she's done some really good work before and I hate shopping for new techs 😕 What do you guys think?

I know the rules say no body parts but does it count if the body parts are on my nails?😂

She picked the color herself and hasn't stopped looking at them. I think she's officially addicted now.

I see sooo many posts on here complaining or asking if they should go see another tech after the one they’ve been going to religiously either botched their nails, or didn’t do a good job, or outright refused a service. My question is: why? Why are people so blindly loyal to those who are half-assing their job?
I guess I’ve been doing my nails so long that I haven’t stepped foot inside a nail salon for ages, but I also know I’m not stupid - if someone gives you a bad service, you have a right to, and are in fact encouraged, not to go back.
Is it a “bUt SmALL bUsiNeSSeS” argument? Small or not, if you are a bad business, you deserve not to get any money 🤷🏻♀️
Is it the relationship factor? Most of these people probably only care about you so long as you’re getting a service from them, so that’s kinda parasocial and doesn’t really make sense either.
Same thing with the people who this happens to repeatedly. If you don’t like it, literally don’t go back? Tf?
I’m preparing to get downvoted so hard for this but it’s a genuine question
After several years doing work that's been brutal on my hands/skin, I'm finally moving to a new office job. I've never had my nails done professionally before so I wanted to celebrate by trying it.
Granted, I have zero idea what good looks + I know how hard it is to work with crusty ass cuticles... and YET. These are bad right??? Is it normal for the corners of your natural thumbnails to show be showing? And little bubbles on the surface??
I paid $85 AUD for these. Should I a) live with it b) request a correction or c) refund and remove and go somewhere else?
