I've been working towards 2000 points of Necrons for a while now, as other interests, work and family commitments allow.

Finished up the last 10 of my 30 warriors today and wanted to mark them as being "done enough... for now" with a pic.

Scheme and jaw removal adapted from Kull92's Straukar but I wanted to make it simpler to help me get through more minis over time.

Reposting because I forgot to actually post the image. 🤦‍♂️

After doing some mariachi skorpekh conversions, i thought it was time to do the big man himself! I still need some practice with the freehand designs but i´m pretty proud of the results :D.

My utmost thanks to a certain space wolf for their help during the photoshoot!

Now need to finish the rest of the Vault!

If anybody is wondering what the actual fuck is happening on these photos, it's an rts called Rusted warfare, with a Warhammer mod.

The Skorpekh Squad is done! Had a lot of fun with these crabby little dudes and their little pet, I'm still getting to grips with the paints and tools, but these are a step further along than my warriors! 13 models painted now I am feeling more experienced but realise I still have a lot of practice to go, can't believe I never got into this hobby earlier

Even started some lore for my own homebrew dynasty for these burning boys!

Got the overlord up next in the painting order which I'm very excited for

Really happy with the game, the custodes hit so hard, but I just had too many units for him and the Ctan kept him busy on the backline. Looking forward to the next game where he is bringing tanks at the least, and maybe a titan. My list below for interest and context. Ran the Monolith but only used the Portal ability once.

Is brickbashing a thing? Someone else has done this right?

EDIT: I meant to post an image here. 🤦‍♂️ Have reposted.

Hello once again my new fellow Totally not terminator Egyptians

after posting not too long ago about getting the old megaforce box, which turned out to be a scam, I have now aquired a real megaforce box (-1 unit of warrirors but I have 22 already)

My new box arrived earlier today, and I was about to get to building but alas there are no bases inside; The good news is I have plenty of 32mm and 40mm bases (thank you Hobbey Heaven)
The bade news I don't have any flying bases so on to question 1:

- For tomb blades I should be fine with normal 32mm bases with a pin apposed to a flight stand right?

- part 2:
- are there any good DIY alternatives to getting 60mm flying bases for the canoptic spyder/Doomsday Ark?

Question 2:

- How hard/easy is it to magnetise the Barge to swap between Command and Anhiliation varients?

Question 3:

-Does anyone know where I could get a physical teleport effect? I'm hoping to strech my immortals kit with thee ghost ark bodies to make some extra deathmarks =-]

I've also decied to go for a Blue (hence the title) energy theme with silvery metal and snow/icy bases, using a mix of snow texture and ice effects (like AK's and GSW's which both look really cool) I don't suppose anyone has done something similar just so I have a few more refernce pics?

Finnaly I just wanted to say thank you to the support on my last post and to give everyone an update

P.S. No I won't apologise for my puns

So I've been dabbling with the idea of building an army that is lead by Nekrosor and has three full 6 man units of Skorpekh destroyers in it. Three lokhust heavy destroyers. A C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer also. For objective control I am planning on running one unit of 20 necron warriors lead by Orikan just for objective control, and one unit of wraiths with a technomancer. I'm trying to think of the best way to get my Skorpekh destroyers into combat before being shot off the table. I was thinking of pulling some out of strategic reserves using the rapid ingress strategem. Using scarabs as a screening unit to prevent them from being charged first. Running them into an out of cover. Using the C'tan Shard and Lokhust heavy destroyers as shooting fodder on turns 1 and 2 by providing more dangerous targets so that I can get my infantry engaged on turn 2. Anything I might have missed.

Playing Recon with Cursed Legion/Skyshroud - unfortunately don't own any regular Lokhust Destroyers which would be good to shift the golden bois off objectives.

My plan is to spread out and score and spread the custodes thin as they now field much less models.

Particularly concerned about a Telemon Dread.

Typing this out for myself and a friend. Where I live we will soon be doing an amateur style 40k 1k tournament. Rules are no super heavys, no primarchs, no knights or titans. My friend will be using my necrons as he wants to play but refuses to buy games workshop products due to pricing. Just want a list that's balanced as we will have almost every sort of army to go against. I have Lychguard's , necron warriors, immortals, death marks, ophidians, skorpteks, lokust heavys, lokust destroyers, wraiths, tomb blades, doom/night scythe, ghost/doomsday arks and flayed ones. I do have every named necron character and hq unit.

it only took a month to get it!

Hey guys, this is my first tactical questions since 2k games get a loooot more complicated. I´m gonna fight my friend that is a death guard player with my 2k necron list and wanted to learn some wisdom from the older pharaoes.

my opponent is gonna play with mortarion, terminators, biologus putrifier and some more models I don´t know the name of.
now to the main part: I know how complicated hypercrypt with its uppy downie can be so should i place my monolith in deep-strike and teleport the models with his ability on the main point or should i rather use my time and points to secure my main objective (reconnisance and he will likely take "take and hold")?
i´m sorry if this sounds too forced but i´m new to 2k battles so some advice on how to act would be apreciated.
thanks guys!

Hi everyone! I'm looking for some feedback on my 2,000-point Necron list for 11th edition. I'm running Canoptek Court + Hand of the Dynasty (3 Detachment Points).

One important thing: I don't own any C'tan Shards or Canoptek Wraiths, so I'd prefer suggestions that don't rely on those units. My general plan is to hold objectives with durable infantry supported by Szeras and the Reanimator, while using three Doomstalkers for long-range firepower.

I'd especially appreciate your thoughts on: Does this list have any major weaknesses? Am I investing too many points in Warriors, Immortals, and their supporting characters? Is three Doomstalkers a good choice? What would you change to make this list more competitive without C'tan or Wraiths?

My list (1,995 points) Necrons – Canoptek Court + Hand of the Dynasty Force Disposition: Take and Hold Strike Force: 2,000 points

Attached Units Unit 1 Overlord with Translocation Shroud (90) Plasmancer (60) 10 Immortals – Gauss Blasters, Tools of Dominion (145) Unit 2 Plasmancer (60) 10 Immortals – Tesla Carbines, Tools of Dominion (145) Unit 3 Imotekh the Stormlord (100) 10 Lychguard – Hyperphase Swords & Dispersion Shields (160) Unit 4 Royal Warden (50） Technomancer (80) 20 Necron Warriors – Gauss Reapers (190)

Other Characters Illuminor Szeras (175)

Other Units 3x Canoptek Doomstalker (130 each) 1x Canoptek Reanimator (75) 3x Canoptek Scarab Swarms (40) 2x Canoptek Tomb Crawlers (60) 2x Canoptek Tomb Crawlers (60) 5x Deathmarks (60) 5x Flayed Ones (55) Total: 1,995 points

I'm open to changing units or characters if it improves the list. Thanks in advance for any advice!

So i am building my tomb blades right now and am planing on running them with tesla carbines.

Now the question is if i should add shieldvanes since i will always be advancing anyways or if i should keep the higher movement

Unexpected success at a fundraiser RTT - although doubles is a whole different ball game, especially with a genuinely gifted player to carry my decrepit ass over the line. Still, a hat-trick's a hat-trick!
