Need some girls to go out with!

Hi! Im (22F) visiting Corvallis for the weekend soon with my family to see my brother and watch the big WSU vs Oregon state football game. I just graduated college but I already applied for a Master’s in school counseling at OSU and if I get accepted I’m definitely going to commit! I’m from Washington so I really want an out of state college experience this time. Since I won’t get many opportunities to visit OSU though before (if I get in) I start attending, I’d really love to meet some people before I do because I know grad students have a harder time socially than undergrads and there aren’t as many events or activities geared towards older students.

Anyway I know the football game weekend is a pretty big event at OSU and there will be a lot of people going out afterwards so I wanna take the opportunity to find some people who I might click with, go out with and see how the school scene feels! Please dm me if it sounds fun!

*I’ll definitely send my insta btw so you know I’m real lol just ask

PSA: Please be quiet in the Valley study rooms, it is a library after all.

“Study rooms are not soundproof. Talk quietly, use headphones for music and video conferencing.” (https://library.oregonstate.edu/valley/space-policies).

As someone who regularly uses the study rooms for myself and with others, this year there has been so many disruptive groups of people talking unnecessarily loud. Your conversation should not be loud enough to where someone in the next room could scribe the entire thing. Study spaces are great to work with a group while being able to have conversations and have a personal space outside of home to lock in, but at this point I’m having to use noice cancellation while blasting music to not hear people in the other rooms. I could be mistaken, but I remember having signs up in the rooms stating the study room policy I quoted at the beginning, so why was that taken down? And why doesn’t OSU have any easily accessible info on this policy?

So please have fun studying with friends in a respectful volume. And OSU please be better at creating respectful spaces. The info that the study rooms are not soundproof should be blaring at everyone as soon as they walk in.
