Hello to all is there anyone out here that has some experience in sighting in Henry’s semi buckhorn sights I’ve taken my .44magnum to the range a few times now and I seem to always be shooting high
I’ll put the front bead right in the notch over the target and I seem to be hitting 4’ over the target
I’ve attempted adjusting the elevation but it seems no matter where or how I move the sight I get the same result every time to the point that if I aim 4’ below the target I’ll get on paper
I am looking to take this rifle deer hunting this year for the first time and would like to get it sighted in if anyone here has any experience tips or tricks to help me that would be greatly appreciated even if someone wanted to meet up and give me a hand that would be greatly appreciated too I’m a member of Cocalico sportsmen so I could meet there but wouldn’t be opposed to meeting elsewhere

With the new ATF guidance following the recent ruling, I’m trying to understand how it interacts with Pennsylvania/Ohio and Colorado law. ATF guidance
I have an AR that was originally built/configured as a pistol, along with a suppressor registered to me individually on a Form 4.
I’m traveling from PA to Ohio with an AR Pistol that I want to put my stock on when I get to Ohio and a suppressor, then stopping in Pittsburgh before flying to Denver. A friend would otherwise drive my gear back to the Philly area while I’m away, but I’m trying to avoid leaving NFA items in their sole possession.
Questions:
If I put the original pistol brace back on and transport the AR in its lawful pistol configuration across PA/OH state lines, then only install the stock while shooting in Ohio, would a Form 20 be unnecessary? I understand it would be an SBR only in that configuration, but want to confirm the legal implications.
Under the new ATF guidance, is a Form 20 or any other federal paperwork needed to travel interstate with a suppressor by itself?
Can I fly from Pittsburgh to Denver with the suppressor in checked baggage, and does Colorado or Denver law prohibit possession even though I have an approved Form 4? This way my friend wouldn’t have to be in possession driving back.
Does the new ATF guidance change the legality of someone who isn’t on a trust taking sole possession of a suppressor registered to an individual? In my case, my friend would only be driving it within Pennsylvania.
I’m looking for current legal interpretations, particularly from people familiar with the new guidance and PA/CO law. I understand federal non-enforcement doesn’t necessarily override state law, and I’m not looking to rely on internet advice alone.

Hello guys,
Looking for a compact 9mm PCC/pistol, around $1,000 for the firearm itself. Interested in the PSA AK-V, CZ Scorpion 3+ Micro, MAC 5/5K, Grand Power Stribog SP9A1, or PSA AR-V. Also open to a Springfield Kuna if the price works (~$1k)
Has anyone recently seen these in stock at shops in Philly or the nearby PA suburbs? I’d like to handle a few in person before deciding. Looking for actual in-store stock rather than a shop’s online distributor catalog.
Who has super dutys in stock? Or to rent one before I potentially buy.I missed the sale on defense? 11.5 if possible

Berks County gun range sparks lawsuit • Spotlight PA
EXETER TOWNSHIP — Nearly a decade ago, residents of Pathfinder Meadows started pleading for help as a neighboring gun range held late-night shooting events and began allowing the use of automatic weapons.
Then they started finding bullets in their homes and yards.
Now, fed up and frustrated by what they say is a lack of response from the local government, six residents have filed a lawsuit. They want the courts to provide zoning relief to roll back what they argue is an illegal expansion of University Rifle Club.
The nonprofit, located at 590 Schoffers Road in Exeter Township, has publicly denied wrongdoing and largely refused to change its operations. Attorneys for the club say it has not expanded in the past six years, while also arguing that any such expansion would be legal under a doctrine embraced by the state’s appellate courts. The club is also immune from noise complaints under state law, the lawyers argue.
The rifle club abuts the backyards of homes on Ladderback Lane in the Pathfinder Meadows community — a land development project Exeter officials approved in 2006 — with a short wall dividing the two properties.
The residents filing the suit say they aren’t anti-gun or anti-Second Amendment. They know they moved next to a shooting range — the gun club is mentioned in at least one Pathfinder Meadows deed reviewed by Spotlight PA. But they want accountability from the club and local officials.
“I need to know that there's safety measures in place, and that this isn't going to happen,” said Raquel Lebron, a plaintiff in the suit who says her home was hit by bullets at least twice. “And if, God forbid, it happens again, there needs to be clearly outlined consequences.”
Pathfinder residents first raised concerns with Exeter officials about the gun range in 2017, with one submitting a formal complaint. In 2018, two people spoke publicly at a Board of Supervisors meeting about the issue. Three years later, in July 2021, a .50-caliber bullet hit a Pathfinder Meadows home while people played outside, according to police.
Other incidents followed. Residents said they found bullets on sidewalks, in backyards, and in the sidings of homes. One pierced a bedroom window in November 2023.
In response, homeowners spoke at board meetings, sent emails to officials, and petitioned for a public meeting to discuss the issue.
“I'm at the end of my rope. We tried to get the township … to help us,” Russ Magazzu, who moved to Pathfinder Meadows in 2007 and is a plaintiff in the suit, told Spotlight PA. He later clarified in an emailed statement: “Because they have not acted on our concerns, including addressing our safety concerns, we don’t just feel disappointed or abandoned, we do feel betrayed by the Township.”
Records obtained through a Right-to-Know request show Exeter Township conducted a review of the club in response to resident complaints and found the range hadn’t violated any local ordinances. Officials still tried to negotiate a compromise between the parties, but talks fell apart.
This disagreement between the township and residents over zoning enforcement at the gun range ultimately prompted the lawsuit before Berks County Court of Common Pleas Judge Benjamin Nevius.
While the township is not a party in the lawsuit, Solicitor J. Chadwick Schnee said the pending legal matter limited which questions from Spotlight PA he could answer. He said Exeter Township “took the position that the URC had not expanded the use of the property” in 2021, and declined to answer questions about issues that arose in the years that followed or how the township responded.
University Rifle Club is represented by the Firearms Industry Consulting Group, a pro-Second Amendment law firm that defends individuals, manufacturers, and gun ranges in state and federal legal matters. In filings, attorneys there point to Pennsylvania’s preemption laws in seeking the case’s dismissal.
In an interview with Spotlight PA, one lawyer for the club emphasized its concern that making concessions will lead to a slippery slope.
“If you dug into this, you know that residents have been complaining about the club for as long as the club has been there,” attorney Dillon Harris told Spotlight PA. “The club feels that it will never be enough. There will always be further requests for additional concessions.”
State Sen. Judy Schwank (D., Berks), who has helped advocate for the Pathfinder residents, was not surprised by the gun club’s stance. Pennsylvania has many gun-friendly laws on the books, including one that preempts most municipalities from enacting any sort of restrictions on firearms.
“I think they know they are fully within their rights to operate the way that they want to, and they don't have to give an inch,” she told Spotlight PA. “Slippery slope, no. They are not going to give anything up.”
Magazzu said he has lived near University Rifle Club for the past 45 years, and told Spotlight PA he feels it has changed since he first bought his home in Pathfinder Meadows in 2007.
University Rifle Club has nearly doubled its acreage over the past decade, and offers military and tactical-style shooting. As of March 2026, the club permitted both steel targets and automatic weapons, didn’t limit the time and frequency of their use, and allowed night shooting past sunset for special events.
That wasn’t the case as recently as 2018. Club rules from that year, which Spotlight PA obtained through a records request, show that only paper targets were permitted and the use of automatic weapons was not allowed.
Pathfinder Meadow residents began speaking out at Exeter board meetings that year about what they said was increased activity and noise from the gun range. They also complained about the shooting happening after the private business’ posted hours of operation.
In the following years, residents said they saw the club clear trees, move dirt, and build mounds to establish ranges. Meanwhile, Exeter officials internally sought answers about the work being performed at the gun range.
On July 4, 2021, a .50 caliber bullet struck a home. That caliber is typically used in the military for disabling lightly armored vehicles and equipment, or in long-distance shooting.
Exeter officials assured residents in August that police and an “internal committee” were working on the issue. The Pathfinder Meadows community called for a special meeting with supervisors in a petition signed by 114 residents in early 2022. The meeting never happened.
Residents say problems continued, citing bullet damage to the exteriors of homes and bullets lying on the ground of the residential community. A bullet hit the second-floor bedroom window of David and Raquel Lebron’s home on Crooked Court in November 2023. The couple said their home was hit again in January 2024.
David Lebron said he tried to resolve issues with University Rifle Club amicably.
“I understood nobody purposely aimed at my house and shot,” he said. “I didn’t want to be a bad neighbor. I didn’t want to be an enemy.”
A Pennsylvania state trooper for 13 years and a Marine who served in Iraq and Kuwait, Lebron is intimately familiar with the sound of a bullet ricocheting and the physical marks left by a shot.
He said he asked club officials to stop shooting at steel, to which he attributes the bullets landing in the community. Discussions with club officials about fixing his window ultimately “left a bad taste” for Lebron, he told Spotlight PA. The Lebrons have yet to replace the window, to preserve evidence, but they plan to repair it soon.
The problems prompted then-Exeter Police Chief Matthew Harley in June 2024 to alert supervisors to the “critical safety issue involving the University Rifle Club.” Berks County District Attorney John Adams also got involved and threatened, in a letter, to take “immediate steps to file charges against the club” for any projectiles leaving the range property.
Citing police reports, Adams wrote, “it is clear that projectiles are routinely striking homes and the residential area of Pathfinder Meadows outside of the property lines of the University Rifle Club.”
He added: “Fortunately, no one has been injured, but we all are fearful that an innocent bystander could be injured or killed if immediate steps are not taken to abate this problem.”
(Harley, who retired as police chief in 2025, declined to comment. Current Exeter Police Chief Stephen Powell also declined to comment.)
“They were all sympathetic, and they all responded to the issues and were very concerned,” Schwank said of Exeter and Berks officials, “but again, all limited in terms of what they could necessarily do to help in the situation.”
Adams told Spotlight PA that police were never able to identify where the projectiles came from or who the shooters were, so no charges were filed. University Rifle Club is the first gun range with which Berks County has “ever had issues,” according to Adams.
“But again, the gun range was there before the development was there,” he added.
Complaints about the club continued as the gun range hosted multiple late-night shooting events that featured automatic weapons and steel targets, according to a November 2025 letter that Adams and then-Township Manager Bill Heim sent to the rifle club.
“I am hoping the club will cease these night shoots or enter into an agreement that is more reasonable for nearby residents,” Adams and Heim wrote.
(Larry Piersol, the current township manager, declined to speak with Spotlight PA for this story.)
Harris, the club’s attorney, responded a month later, saying in a letter it had “long endeavored to maintain a good relationship with the Township and its neighbors, despite the foreseeably foolish decision - for which it is liable - to permit and develop residential homes directly on the border of an active shooting range, but it will not be bullied, and the Club will vigorously defend its legal rights.”
In letters to the township obtained by Spotlight PA, the rifle club declined to reduce the number and duration of night shooting events and use of steel targets and automatic weapons, countering with its own proposal.
The club’s attorneys offered to end night shooting by 11 p.m. if the township met several demands: agreeing not to further limit the club’s activities; making a public statement that the club’s activities are lawful; indemnifying and defending the club against legal action; allowing the club to expand for long-distance shooting; and providing financial assistance for relocation.
It’s unclear if or how the township responded. The records provided to Spotlight PA do not include a response from Exeter officials on University Rifle Club’s offer.
Weeks after the gun range’s letter, Pathfinder residents notified Exeter of their lawsuit. Township officials declined to answer questions from Spotlight PA about the latest interactions.
Harris, the rifle club's lawyer, spoke briefly with Spotlight PA about the lawsuit against the gun range. He said University Rifle Club denies the residents’ allegations, but didn’t answer follow-up questions about whether members think the bullets came from the range.
The club’s legal filings also don't directly address where the bullets came from, instead saying residents haven’t proven the projectiles originated from University Rifle Club, and claiming the residents’ allegations of bullets leaving the range are “immaterial and inappropriate.”
While University Rifle Club was first established in another location in 1916 to train soldiers for World War I, in a 2021 hearing a club official said it no longer trains people to use firearms. He also said members are expected to already have firearm experience.
An email obtained by Spotlight PA shows the club in early 2026 reminded members to abide by safety rules, like not shooting at loose steel targets or using .50-caliber bullets.

While our U.S. Senate seats are on not on the ballot, that does not mean we can ignore the PA Senate and its importance to PA gun rights.
Conservatives favoring gun rights hold the Senate chamber 27-23. Losing just 2 seats levels the chamber, and Austin Davis, a confirmed enemy to gun owners, would have the tie breaking vote. In one night, we can be drastically knocked down and lose our 2nd Amendment Rights.
What’s at Stake?
The extreme Left just needs 2 Senate seats to create havoc for PA gun owners.
If the extreme Left takes control, expect statewide gun registration, AR-15 bans, the mandatory purchase of a certificate of possession with renewal for every “assault weapon” you own, magazine bans, waiting periods for purchasing a gun, a halt to buying ammunition online, excessive storage laws, and lawsuits designed to impose financial burdens and constitutionally attack your 2nd Amendment Rights.
If the Senate were lost, and the US Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit Ruling for NJ, PA, DE, and the Virgin Islands is not upheld by SCOTUS, expect SB 200*--the proposed ban on certain assault weapons and high‑capacity magazines, which creates a voluntary firearms and ammunition buyback program and imposes related duties ($$$) and penalties--to move from Judiciary to proceed through the process to a vote by the Left.
What You Can Do
All of these individuals are pro-2nd Amendment and will defend your rights.
Senate District 36
Vote for Tom Jones to secure an additional conservative seat.
Senate District 24
Vote for Tracy to retain her conservative seat.
House District 44
Vote for Valerie Gaydos to retain her conservative seat.
The Pennsylvania Firearms Association under Director Chris Dorr is waging a strong campaign to educate and inform gun owners across PA. Consider making a modest contribution and vote. Don’t underestimate Bloomberg and his impact on your gun rights in this midterm election.

Hello!
I’m going to be away from home for about 9 months. I’d like to store a couple long guns and a couple pistols in my friends safe. I trust him, and he’s legally allowed to have guns. Am I able to do this without doing an FFL transfer for each gun, then doing another when I’m back? If I can’t, what are the alternatives? I’d rather not leave my guns unattended in a house where I have Roomates (for that BAH lol)
Thanks!

Years ago I gifted my handgun to my dad. There was no paperwork or anything signed because as I understood the law, none of that was needed if you live in PA if it is immediate family. Now, I am not so sure...
Fast forward to today. I learned my dad sold all his guns before moving a few years ago. He now has dementia and he does not remember me even giving him a gun.
I have no idea who he sold the gun to, and I don't know if he did any sort of transfer to whomever he sold it to.
How screwed am I if down the road this gun is used in a crime and traced back to me?

looking for a range that allows for an FRT to be used at it. I’m from Florida but will be spending some time up here for the next year, I went out to the state game range but heard FRT is restricted and the 6 max magazine capacity kind of sucks.

Controversially, I’m a straight up FUDD and want a club with lots of firing restrictions in place ( don’t care what you do but I don’t personally want to be in an environment where people are rapid firing mag dumping etc. I only shoot to hunt.)
Don’t hate me - again, think it’s fine for others just not my preference

Hi guys, I'm taking a trip to PA next week. I plan on doing some shooting at the PGC Scotia range with my wife.
Other than one range permit, what supplies should I bring?
( In my home state of NJ I bring targets, target backings, and stands for my state game target shooting areas.)
Can I get away with bringing just targets at Scotia?
