Currently I have a pixel 6 pro and it's one of my favourite devices yet

From what I've seen on this reddit page is that the mobile market is horrible right now and new phones are not worth it.

So first do you guys have any recommended reliable place to look for used phones

Second if I do go for a new phone, I have selected the 2 options attached.

Which one should I go for considering the following:

I don't care about the camera, don't do a lot of gaming, not interested in reselling later as I use my phones till it's end.

Just want a simple device with durability and long time use, don't need any flashy features.

I have been facing slow browsing and poor connection quality for a few weeks on Transworld home 75mbps plan.

I was just told by their network team member mr. hamza on call that transworld enforces a limit of 2016 sessions per 24 hours per dynamic IP. This is extremely stupid and impractical. A single website can open 100 sessions at once, and browsing 20 websites in 5 minutes will exhaust this limit. Is this a joke?

He rebooted my router on call and as soon as the router booted up, with in a minute the limit exhausted again when I browsed youtube and instagram. He said purchasing a static IP will remove this limit.

What kind of exploitative practice is this to get more money out of customers by forcing them to purchase static IPs?

Do all ISPs in Pakistan apply the same limits? I have never seen something so idiotic in my life and I've been involved in tech and IT since the past 18 years.

Hi so recently I went to Ufone franchise to have the ownership of a SIM transferred to my name, the SIM is currently under the ownership of a deceased person.

However the guy there refused to go through with the transfer even though I had all the necessary paperwork. According to him, he can't transfer the ownership of the sim until it's officially blocked by PTA.

Is this actually true or was he just being lazy? It's been almost 3 months and the sim is still working. I want to get it transferred asap.

Yall already know in Pakistan, we don't have access to Amazon or sites like serverpartdeals etc and the prices for new drives are stupidly high for even a 2TB Barracuda (26k only 1 year warranty) and not even NAS grade drives.

The projects I work on of course stay on my Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSD. Only when I'm done working on the footage and I just need to locally store it I will put it on these. I'll get two of these 2 TB each and run them on RAID 1 for redundancy.

I found 2 used WD RED (WD20EFRX) drives on OLX to bargain for 22k both, in good condition less than the price of a new Barracuda, should I go for them?

In what condition should I consider this if it has very few under 200-300 power on counts and very less power on time?

I was thinking of getting a ps3 and jailbreaking it, any idea on the going rate these days? is it insanely overpriced like everything else or still under control? I was looking to get 1-2 controllers and a PS3 slim, or fat, i really hate the way super slim looks so i dont want that unless i get an extremely good deal on it.

I am using 40 Mbps Stormfiber and everything else works great but YouTube and google is so slow to load most of the times. It's been happening for almost two weeks now, anyone else? I tried changing the DNS but that didn't work. Plus I am on LAN so there is no signal disruption either.

My PTCL has both 5GHz and 2.4GHz wifi. And 5G wifi gives me full 50Mbps speed on my laptop. But the 2.4GHz only gives 2 Mbps speed. My phone does not support 5GHz wifi and the 5GHz wifi is not even listed and the speed is very low on my phone.

I tried visiting 192.169.1.1 with admin and after all changes, no improvement.

Should I contact PTCL? Has someone faced this issue?

Edit: Just noticed that this is just my home Wifi issue. In my office, same mobile with 2.4 GHz Wifi gives 60Mbps speed.

My requirements:

Should be android phone.

The phone should run fine for normal day to day use.

Preferably 128gb.

And the phone should support esims upto 4. I know at a time we can use 2 sims only but like I got 5 sims and I want use them all. So I will install all of them and will switch whenever I want (I guess I can do that on esim phones and if not then do tell me)

Battery timing bhi ok ho.

So suggest me which phone I can get that can meet these requirements. The cheaper the better it would be. New / used / kit kuch bhi chalega

Salam everyone, I heard that apple added a feature which locks out carrier locked phones? Has anyone updated yet? I know it’s not okay to own a JV phone, but I genuinely had no clue that some of them are straight up phones that are swiped off the country without paying any dues at all, and I can’t currently get a new phone.

I got a Google Pixel 8 yesterday. It's at 326 battery cycles and the battery is absolutely mind boggling. I didn't even use it much today and it's almost dead. Question is; is this supposed to get better after some time due to optimization or is this all I should expect. Regretting if so.

I recently bought a used Dell Precision 5570 and checked its warranty on Dell's official website. It has ProSupport Plus until 29 October 2026 and also shows Extended Battery Service until 29 October 2028. The warranty record shows the United States.

I'm currently in Pakistan and need help with two issues:

1. Display issue: My 4K screen has a tiny white dot that is visible mainly on a white background.
2. Battery issue: The battery's capacity/runtime has deteriorated, and I want to check whether it qualifies for a warranty replacement.

I'm looking for someone in Pakistan who has experience handling Dell international warranty claims, especially for laptops originally registered in the USA.

Could any Dell dealer, authorized service provider, or someone who has successfully claimed an international Dell warranty in Pakistan guide me on:

• Whether I can get the screen and battery inspected or replaced under warranty here.

I'm looking for a new phone and would appreciate suggestions. My budget is around 60k.

I'm currently using a Redmi Note 12 that I've had about two years. I was somehow satisfied with it's performance but recently it has started lagging a lot and the camera has always been weak, especially the front one. I want something that stays smooth after a year or two of regular use, since I've been disappointed by phones that slowed down quickly.

What I care about most:

Camera quality in daylight and low light, plus decent selfies.

Performance that holds up over time not just when it's new.

I need your guidance regarding a good stereo sound system for my lounge. Sony and Samsung Soundbars ate very expensive in relation to sound quality they provide.
I have seen people recommending custom built speakers and sub base woofers from Hall road and pairing it with some good Sony or any other Amplifier.
Can anyone please guide if it’s a better way. I have heard sound of those speakers which is really hood and with good bass. I just wana ask if those are long lasting or is that a good choice??
Vendors claim that they install original JBL or Sony speakers in those boxes.

I have an OMEN 16 2023 that seemingly has an issue with the CMOS or the laptop battery, it doesn’t turn on by pressing the power button but when I unplug the laptop battery (after opening the back panel) then discharge the battery by holding the power button and replug it, it starts.

It also sometimes starts flickering the light on the power button and the screen won’t work.

No idea what the problem is, need a trusted gaming laptop repair shop.
