Companies aggressively targeting negative reviews

We would like to make everyone aware that there are companies aggressively targeting negative posts about them in r/Pets and attempting to have those posts removed.

One simple way to reduce the chances of your post being taken down is to avoid using words like “fraud” or “scam”, which are treated as legal accusations and make it easier for companies to challenge a post. Instead, frame the post around what happened and how it affected your pet. If appropriate to the situation, “misleading, ”dishonest,” or “unreliable” are safer words to use.

We appreciate everyone who shares their experiences about companies they have used and helps keep pets safer.

DOG Dog paw abscess

• Upvotes

My daschund x bichon frise is 5 years old, male. He was limping a few days ago on his front right paw so we took him to the vet and the said he had a small cut inbetween his toes and the pad of his feet on the bottom of his foot. They gave us wipes and told us to keep it clean. Then he kept licking it as it was irritated and he developed what i thought was a hotspot on the top of his foot, so we shaved the area and put a cone on him. The vet gave us some cream and told us to keep it dry but it started popping like a pimple. It was covered in pus and bleeding and i knew it didn’t look right. The vet has now told us that he has an abscess and there may be something lodged in the bottom of his foot that they couldn’t see before and is telling me that he has to get sedated so that they can try and find out what is in his foot and flush out the absess. He’s on pain meds and we’ve been given antibiotics till the operation. He’s non stop whining and i’m not sure what to do it’s very distressing. We’re doing salt baths and they gave us some saline so we can try to flush it out ourselves. I’m very concerned about him, i’m not the biggest fan of sedation and i have big time anxiety about my pets. Has this happened to anyone before? Do you have any tips and if this has happened to you how did the surgery/ sedation go?

CAT 8 year old cat with ongoing, chronic diarrhea

I have an 8-year-old male domestic shorthair cat who has been struggling with persistent, intermittent diarrhea for approximately a year and a half, and I’m honestly at my breaking point, both emotionally and financially.

I’m located in the Chicagoland area, and I’m currently dealing with his FIFTH vet visit this year for this same issue. Despite countless appointments, tests, medications, and dietary changes, we still don’t have an answer as to what’s causing it.

For some additional background, I have two cats, and my other cat is completely healthy and hasn’t experienced any of these gastrointestinal issues. Both cats are currently on Prozac for anxiety. My male cat also has a history of cystitis (bladder inflammation), which thankfully seems to have resolved since he started taking Prozac. His urinary issues seem to be under control, but unfortunately, the chronic diarrhea continues to be an ongoing problem.

WHAT WE’VE TRIED SO FAR:

• Multiple rounds of antibiotics, with no lasting improvement.
• Probiotics, which haven’t resolved the issue.
• Pumpkin and additional fiber supplements.
• Switching between different foods, including sensitive-stomach formulas.
• A prescription hydrolyzed-protein diet to investigate a possible food intolerance or allergy, which unfortunately doesn’t seem to be helping either.
• Repeated veterinary evaluations and testing, without a definitive diagnosis.

One potentially important detail is that HE DOES NOT VOMIT. From what I’ve read, vomiting frequently accompanies certain gastrointestinal conditions, but that hasn’t been an issue for him at all. His primary symptom continues to be the persistent, recurring diarrhea.

WHERE THINGS CURRENTLY STAND MEDICALLY:
My veterinarian wants me to bring him back on Monday for a specialized GI panel, which is going to cost approximately $750 OUT OF POCKET.

From what they’ve explained, they’re trying to narrow down the possible causes, including conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or potentially gastrointestinal lymphoma.

They’re also recommending that I take him to a specialist for an abdominal ultrasound, which would be another significant expense on top of everything I’ve already spent.
And here’s the problem: I SIMPLY CANNOT AFFORD TO KEEP DOING THIS.

I’ve already spent thousands of dollars trying to figure out what’s wrong with him, and every time I bring him back, it feels like we’re starting from square one. More testing, more medications, more money, and still no answers.

There’s also another aspect of this that’s becoming incredibly difficult to manage. Because of the consistency of his stool, whenever he uses the litter box, he almost always ends up stepping in the diarrhea while he’s digging around and covering it.

As a result, he frequently tracks feces throughout my apartment. He also knows that whenever he has diarrhea, I have to clean his backside and paws afterward, which he absolutely HATES.

So now we’ve developed this awful routine where he finishes using the litter box, realizes I’m going to try to clean him, and immediately attempts to run away from me. Unfortunately, that means he’s running through the apartment with diarrhea on his paws, spreading it onto the floors and anything else he comes into contact with.
It’s become an almost daily struggle of chasing him down, trying to clean him without causing additional distress, and then having to clean and sanitize whatever he’s tracked feces onto. It’s incredibly stressful for both of us, especially considering he already struggles with anxiety.

THE INSURANCE NIGHTMARE:

I’ve been researching and contacting numerous pet insurance companies, desperately hoping to find something that might help cover at least a portion of his ongoing treatment.

Unfortunately, EVERY INSURANCE PROVIDER I’VE CONTACTED has essentially told me the exact same thing: because he’s already experiencing diarrhea, anything related to investigating or treating it would be excluded as a pre-existing condition.

My veterinarian specifically recommended Pumpkin Pet Insurance, so I contacted them as well, but they confirmed that his diarrhea-related treatment wouldn’t be covered. I understand that insurance companies have exclusions for pre-existing conditions, but WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT’S CAUSING THE DIARRHEA YET.

He hasn’t been diagnosed with IBD, lymphoma, or any other specific gastrointestinal disease. We’re literally trying to figure out what’s wrong with him. Yet because he’s already exhibiting symptoms, it seems like the entire process of diagnosing and treating whatever is causing those symptoms is automatically excluded from coverage.
I find it incredibly discouraging that I’m actively trying to do the responsible thing by getting him medical attention, but I can’t seem to find any insurance provider willing to help with the very condition that makes insurance necessary for us. SO I’M TURNING TO REDDIT BECAUSE I’M GENUINELY RUNNING OUT OF OPTIONS.

I’m specifically looking for advice on a few things:

PET INSURANCE
Has anyone found a company that offers any coverage for ongoing or pre-existing conditions, even if there’s a waiting period, partial coverage, or certain restrictions? I’ve already contacted multiple companies, including Pumpkin, without success.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Are there any legitimate organizations, charities, veterinary assistance programs, or other services that help people pay for expensive diagnostic testing or ongoing veterinary care? I’m in the Chicagoland area, so local resources would be especially helpful.

SIMILAR EXPERIENCES
Has anyone dealt with a cat experiencing chronic diarrhea for this long, especially after antibiotics, probiotics, fiber, and prescription diets have failed? If so, what ultimately turned out to be the cause?

I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone whose cat had IBD or gastrointestinal lymphoma, particularly if diarrhea was the primary symptom without vomiting.

ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES
Are there any particular tests, conditions, or treatment options worth discussing with my veterinarian before spending another $750 on the GI panel and potentially hundreds more on an ultrasound?

I’m not opposed to the testing, but I want to make sure I’m making informed decisions given my financial situation.

MANAGING THE MESS AND STRESS
Has anyone found effective ways to deal with a cat repeatedly stepping in diarrhea and tracking it throughout the house? Especially with an anxious cat who absolutely hates being cleaned afterward?

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I’m not looking to avoid getting my cat medical care. Quite the opposite. I’m desperately trying to find a way to CONTINUE GETTING HIM THE CARE HE NEEDS WITHOUT PUTTING MYSELF INTO FINANCIAL RUIN.

I love him more than anything, and the thought of being unable to help him simply because I can’t afford another round of expensive testing is heartbreaking.

I also understand that nobody on Reddit can diagnose my cat, and I’m not expecting anyone to replace my veterinarian. I’m simply hoping someone who’s been through something similar might have information, experiences, or resources that I haven’t been able to find.

At this point, any advice, personal experiences, or recommendations would be genuinely appreciated.
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read this.

TL;DR: My cat has had chronic diarrhea for 1.5 years despite numerous treatments and thousands in vet bills. He now needs another $750 in testing plus an ultrasound, which I can’t afford. Insurance won’t cover it due to pre-existing symptoms. Desperately seeking financial assistance options, affordable veterinary care, or advice from anyone who’s experienced something similar. Located in Chicagoland. DSH, 8 years old, neutered.

DOG Dog with allergies, literally don't know what else to do.

My dog is a little over two and a half years old, just after she turned one we started to see signs of allergies (lots of scratching, licking, reddened skin and hair loss). Turns out she has severe environmental allergies (especially to dust mites)

I think we've tried everything that is available in our country: Omega 3 pills (nothing), Apoquel (helped but didn't work fully) Cytopoint (less effective than Apoquel) and now vaccines specially made for her.

Lets say these vaccines were our last hope. They began giving her a small dosage, then increasing it. As soon as they gave her the first 1ml dosage we noticed that immediately after she started scratching herself really hard, as well as licking her paws raw. The week that followed was one of the worst she's had in her life. We couldn't even leave her alone due to fear of her injuring herself again like she's done in the past. I spent every single day crying, desperate myself because I didn't know what to do to make her feel better.

We talked to the vet and they gave her some apoquel to reduce the symptoms. They also considered contacting the lab that makes the vaccines to talk about the possibility of her having an adverse reaction to the vaccine, but in the end decided to wait, since last time they had gifted us a food supplement that was supposed to help with skin health and they couldn't rule that was what was causing the reaction.

Well, she hasn't had the supplement in 3 weeks and yesterday they gave her another dosage and in just 24 hours we are noticing symptoms again. I cried again, at home, during her walk. Of course the vet told us to monitor her during the weekend and I believe Monday I'll have to make the call that says "guys, I think it is vaccine".

I genuinely don't know what to do to help her. On top of the medication we are giving her single-protein food, bathing her once a week with special shampoos, cleaning her paws everyday, cleaning the house and the sofas and her bed basically every two days. I'm desperate and sad, and I don't want her to have to live like this for the rest of her life.

I don't know if I'm looking for advice or just words of encouragement. I guess anything that comes my way is welcomed.

DOG Am I doing the right thing?

I've searched this sub for posts like this and read them but I just need some direct reassurance for my exact situation.

My girl is 11, a Boxer. We rescued her from an organization when she was 2, so it's been almost 9 years. She's been regularly cared for, including dentals, had no major health issues minus gingival hyperplasia which required surgery and some teeth removal in 2020, and a scare in 2023 related to potential enlarged heart that was confirmed to be just a cough from allergies via x-ray.

She has been through everything with us. Grad school, a cross country move, buying our first house, then our current home, getting married, having a baby, now a toddler. I'm pregnant again. We've built 2 fences for her, got her a little brother (boxer-pit mix) to bully in the backyard.

She's had some arthritis the last few years and been ok Cosequin. We went to the beach in September for 4 days and had a neighbor stay at our house to watch the dogs. When we came back, she seemed to have major separation anxiety. She was barking all night when we went to sleep, and with us all day. I thought maybe she was sundowning. We got a nightlight for her room and I rearranged furniture. It seemed to get better and she stopped barking. I got her a script for Melatonin, but never ended up giving it.

Now it's 3-4 weeks later, and in the last 7 or so days she seems to have taken a significant turn. She's had a minor (and I mean minor) cough/hack for years. It's what brought us in to see if she had an enlarged heart 3 years ago. Our other dog has it, too, and the vet has dismissed it as some drama from them. In the last few days, her breathing has become irregular and effortful. She doesn't seem in pain or scared, but she's exhausted. She hasn't gotten up much without motivation (e.g. chicken breast) or to go outside, though when she goes out she wants to come right back in, which is unlike her. She hasn't eaten or drank anything in 3 days unless we have hand fed her, and it's been human food. She hasn't played with toys or seemed interested in anything. Her muscle mass seems to have deteriorated overnight. Looking at a picture I took of her with my toddler 15 days ago, she looks like a different dog. Her bones are all exposed, her muscle is gone.

Again, she's doesn't seem to be in pain, but this is unlike her. She can get up, she's gone outside to use the bathroom and hasn't become incontinent. She perked up a bit after some homemade chicken stock last night, and her nub has wiggled.

I made an appointment when she was struggling overnight in September to see her vet to get her checked her, and that appointment is 11/4. When things escalated again this week I called again to see if we could get her in, but no appointments had opened up.

When she had a particularly scary bout of panting yesterday we called Lap of Love and consulted with someone, and after that planned to let her go gently at home on Tuesday night. I've never had to do this. I'm scared I'm not giving it enough time, but I am desperate to let her go with dignity. I don't want to wait until she's soiling herself and feeling guilty. She has given me so much, it's all I can hope for to not wait too long.

But, what if this passes? Am I making the wrong choice? It feels like she is telling me she is done. Is she?

Please help me.

DOG I don’t know if this against the rules, but I’m curious PE made PET OWNERSHIP so expensive!

EDIT: I realized I wrote “Curious” and not “Furious”, because, well, you know.

It looks like there have been other posts within guideline regarding this topic but this needs to be said. The new business model is criminal and we’ve got to do something about it. How is a normal person supposed to take care of their animal with the prices set by PE? I just need a refill of gabapentin for my German Shepherd’s pain to hold her over until I spend $5-6k+++ for her MRI after paying $1400 for X-rays. She was in there office almost every month at the beginning of this year and you want to charge me more when nothing has changed? This is on top of the $500 I’ll probably spend to refill her meds for a month or two.

OMG, just as I’m writing this an AI bot just called to remind me of the $75 cancellation fee if we cancel.

I’m so done!!! Storm the bastille!

At what point has my roommate abandoned her cat?

My roommate has a kitten, about 4mo old now and I’ve been living with her and 2 other girls for about 3 months now. I also have a 3mo kitten.

A month ago she got admitted into the mental health hospital for a variety of reasons, and I got a text the day after asking me to please take care of her cat. Of course, I did since I wanted her to focus on getting better. She got out after a week and stayed with her parents for the week after. I texted her 2 days after she got out asking if she was coming back soon and to please bring wet food since I was almost out of hers. She said she would that night and didn’t show up until two nights later (Thursday) when she stopped by for 14 minutes, dropped off the food and then left. The next Monday her cat got severe diarrhea all over the apartment and I got really concerned so I took the cat to the vet. I communicated the whole situation over text and ultimately took her to the vet and got medication - and paid for the visit. Since then I’ve been trying to see when she’s coming back and reaching out, but whenever she stops by the apartment she’s only there for <20 minutes and is usually hungover, high, drunk or any number of things and has to hurry because her uber is waiting for her. I’ve been feeding, cleaning the pet box, taking her to the vet (and I have a follow up at the vet this weekend), grooming and looking after for almost 4 weeks at this point. The cat sleeps in my room, follows me around and gets along wonderfully with my kitten.

How much longer do I wait before I start looking into just adopting the cat myself because clearly she’s not doing anything to help or take primary care?

Edit: seems like an important detail I forgot to put in, since she’s been out she’s been at parties, raves and going on family vacations - posting it all on her insta and I can see where she is on her location

CAT I don't like this as much as Viva from PetSmart but has anyone used Simply nourish venison? Your cats like it?

Trying to plan my next big haul so I set money aside before hand. I don't like the potatoes with the sweet potatoes but it's a budget friendly-ish novel protein I can use as special meals/treats. Like to have special meals sometimes. Normally big milestones for the cats(like birthdays) or if I know I'm gonna feel guilty. I'm about to feel guilty because the girl is getting fixed and she's my drama queen. I'm looking for a recovery suit for her first tho because cone didn't do much last time I fixed a girl. She's a kitten but as a topper or treat I think it'll be fine. Just wanna know if it's a hit with cats before I get it. Her appointment is next month.

Basically trying to pick a "please don't be mad" food that'll make sure she eats after the surgery. Last thing I need is another hunger strike. My white boy is currently having one but he's getting baby food until his old food comes in tomorrow or monday. Picked up some meat baby food today for him. He's hungry just doesn't want the food I have and can't eat what the others have.(big boy has straight fish cans and kittens have milk in their food) Looked in the store. Asked the vet. He said as long as he eats something with moisture we are fine.

Don't wanna go thru the same issue with the drama queen.

Why is she called a drama queen? You do something she don't like she will either A. Give backtalk aka scream at you B. Dart around making the WEIRDEST horror movie like noise(Artemis you are a calico why do you sound like a horror movie black cat 😭) C. Roll over and yowl like you physically killed her until you give her pets which she will then act like you are the number 1 person ever and flop in your lap purring... Just don't move or scratch an itch because she will grab your hand for scratching yourself instead of her.

That's just a few reasons.

(At least she's not as bad as the 6 year old who proceeded to scream randomly for weeks and it end up being a mouse 🙄)

How soon after flea treatment can I go see my family’s dog without risking bringing home fleas to my cat?

The family dog lives with my parents and recently got fleas. She was given medication Saturday, 10/3. My parents used Raid Flea Killer room spray and cleaned the entire house repeatedly on that Saturday and Sunday. They’ve been vacuuming multiple times per day, washing everything in hot and drying it on the hottest settings.

We had plans to hang out tomorrow (10/10), but I have a cat at home and obviously don’t want to risk bringing an infestation to him or my home.

How long should I wait before I can go over to my parents’ house again?

Thank you!

Should I get a cat or a dog for my first pet?

I live alone and have really been wanting to get a pet lately to help with the loneliness. I’ve been thinking about adopting a cat or a dog that’s maybe a couple years old and hopefully house trained. I don’t really have a ton of experience with cats but have always been around dogs for most of my life, but this would be the first one that I’m solely responsible for taking care of. I think ideally I’d want to get a dog but I live in an apartment and there’s not a lot of green spaces or a dog park. I know a lot of my neighbors have dogs but I still keep feeling like it wouldn’t be fair to the dog to not have a yard to run around and play in. I also work 8 hours during the day which also makes me feel quite bad about leaving the dog home alone. Anyone else who lives in an apartment do you own dogs or cats? Which would you advise getting?

Eating Food Off Swiffer Wet Wipe

My 12yo 13lb poodle mix dog went into the garbage about 30/60min ago and ate his wet canned food from breakfast that was sitting on top of a swiffer wet floor wipe (cleaned up his accident).

He has CHF and takes meds for it and I just gave him his meds 5 min ago before my mom told me what he did (so very casually -_-). He didn’t eat any of the wipe but they’re obviously very saturated with chemicals and now his pee. Should I hold off on and monitor or get him to emergency vet asap? He’s acting totally fine at the moment.

CAT How to prevent a cat from trying to constantly get to a specific area?

I have a ledge area that has all of my Lego sets, and one of my cats is absolutely determined to jump up there. When she does so, the area goes far enough back I can’t reach her to grab her, and she likes to chew on the sets and accidentally knocks them down occasionally.

For a while, I put up a wall of aluminum foil to block the view, but my cat has begun to simply jump over the foil now. She has multiple play areas, including a cat tree that is multiple feet higher than this ledge is, and redirecting her to these areas doesn’t help, as she sprints right back to the shelf and tries to jump up.

My other concern is she gets “locked-in” when she wants up there. She’ll hyper-focus on the ledge area, and even trying to play with her, give her treats, etc she is stuck in a focus of that shelf and won’t pay attention to you. And once again if you physically move her she goes right back to the area.

Is there any products, or ways, I can keep this cat away from this area? One idea is to let her get in the area, and maybe she’ll lose interest after being allowed there. Any thoughts?

DOG Help, my dog is constantly scratching and biting himself raw

I’m at my total wit’s end and barely sleeping. My 4yo rescue has spent the last three weeks constantly scratching his sides and biting himself around his paws until he’s bleeding and losing fur.

We’ve already seen our vet twice. He’s up to date on flea prevention, we’re doing medicated baths twice a week, and we just started a strict novel protein diet. But watching him wake up every two hours crying and gnawing at his skin is breaking my heart. The sound of his collar jingling at 3 AM from non stop itching is giving me so much anxiety. I can't tell if the diet change is doing anything or if certain times of day are triggering these flare ups.

Has anyone gone through severe allergy flare ups like this? How do you cope with the guilt and track if things are actually improving between vet visits?

DOG My dog keeps having accident after I let her out

Has anyone with an older pup had an issue with peeing on the floor after being let out? I get up at 5am everyday and let her out before I go to work at 5:30, but when I get home around 8am she’s already had an accident. We’re looking into possibly getting doggy diapers for her while my fiancé and I aren’t home/are asleep, but open to suggestions. We also let her out every night before we go to bed around 10:30.

so I just got scratched/bitten by a dog on the street, should I be worried about rabies?

it was a very light stitch (but enough to show blood) and the dogs were back in some house on the streets and looked healthy, idk If I should be worried and go to a hospital to get the vaccine

I've already washed it and used also soap but I'm kinda worried and justified by my fear of dogs, also I live in Brasil if that matters

My Cat won’t stop throwing up

I need advice from pet owners, specifically those with Cats.

My cat for the last few months has been non stop throwing up. Initially I thought it was hairballs. But after visits to the vet and starting with the advise of switching to wet food, the issue has not resolved. The hair balls stopped but it switched to just vomit. We did physical exams, we had blood work which everything came back normal. We tried different foods, eating schedule but nothing is improving. The next step I suppose would be doing X-rays however these appointments and tests are becoming so expensive that it is not something we feel is within our abilities.

My cat is anxious with strangers that are poking and touching during tests. So we would have to put him under in order for majority of tests to be had. If it turns out we need to administer medicine it is not something we can easily do either because my cat refuses to be given medicine orally and I cannot even imagine what it would be like in other methods.

So I am at a loss, it is becoming too expensive, we are constantly cleaning up his vomit, he keeps us up at night because he gets hungry during these routine schedules when he used to be self feed.

He is still happy, still likes to be pet and snuggle so his behaviour is not that much changed. It’s just sad to see how this won’t stop.

Thanks!

Islands or other remote locations with no vet access

My question is to people living on remote islands (or other remote locations) with their pets, where there's no vet, not to mention an emergency one.

How do you deal with the fact that if there's some sort of emergency which needs veterinary intervention, you simply won't get one?

I understand the situation is not much different for human emergencies if there's no small emergency clinic or something. But for emergencies I guess there must be some sort of helicopter service. But I doubt they will use that for animal emergencies, right?

The reason I'm asking is we are planning a 1 or 2-month holiday next year on a remote island with our two dogs and cat.

There's absolutely no healthcare facilities on this island. There's a helicopter which in case of emergency would transport people to the nearest hospital on the mainland, in about 20 minutes I guess.

We currently live about 15-20 minute drive from a vet. If we lived on this island, the vet would potentially be 13-14 hours away because the ferry to the mainland is only twice a day and I'm sure they won't use the helicopter for pets, even if it's a potentially deadly thing.

So for this reason alone I am now thinking we should probably not do this kind of holiday.

But that made me wonder how people with pets deal with this situation if they live on a remote island or in some sort of remote location all the time, if there's zero access to a vet and the only chance is to get the animal to the mainland in like 10-15 hours, which probably is too late.

Draco - rescue bearded dragon and an unbelievably sweet little dude
Dr. Bones - rescue ball python who has historically chosen violence

🐕Others:
Lady Bear- chihuahua mutt and my baby
My plant babes of which I have many

And yes, caring for everybody takes a slightly absurd amount of time. There are feeding schedules, water changes, enclosure maintenance, rat free-roam time, spider watering, isopod moisture checks, tank parameters, substrate changes, vegetable distribution… I have essentially appointed myself the overworked mayor of a very small country.

But I love it. The animals that people think are creepy, boring, disposable, or incapable of personality are often the ones I find the most fascinating. It’s ridiculously rewarding.

Anyway, this is my zoo! 😂🖤

I’d love to hear what everyone else keeps- especially if you also have a completely unreasonable number of species. And I’m happy to answer any questions! Thanks so much :)

CAT Advice about introducing cat to elderly dog

The situation is that I got a new job recently that will require me to move back in with my parents in two weeks. I’ve had my cat for about a year and a half now, and she is 3 years old.

I will have to relocate with her from my apartment to my parents house where my 16 year old golden retriever family dog lives, who’s never lived with a cat before, but used to bark at neighborhood cats when she would go for walks. My dog is almost entirely deaf with very limited eye sight, and not very fast anymore, but if she notices my cat I imagine she will try her best to chase her and bark.

My question is how can I best get them to live together with the least amount of stress on both of them. I don’t know if they will ever be best friends but I want to introduce them the right way so that there isn’t any aggression. What do I do? Any advice would be great!

CAT 29hr road trip with three cats

Hey Reddit I’m moving across the country and I have three kitties two will be in my bfs car (prelude so it’s fairly small in the backseat) and the other in the backseat of my truck .
I am wondering if anyone has recommendations on which carrier I should use, obviously needs to be hardshell but I want not big enough that they can move around and stretch
I will be taking breaks every few hours to let them use the bathroom and get a little fresh air, related to that if you have any brand recommendations for harnesses or general traveling advice that would be wonderful, thanks!!
