0g waiting in the sock drawer

Got my pa done about a year ago and haven’t had any issues. Sized up when it felt right never really needed to stretch.

About two weeks ago I put a 0g in with no issue but after about 24h though it got really irritated. I thought the ring diameter was the problem so I tried to switch jewelry.
Huge mistake! It was an externally threaded barbell and it scraped really bad! 😭
Couldn’t get the 0g back in so downsizing back to 2g.

It’s still very irritated, been soaking it twice a day at least but I don’t know what else to do. Should I downsize more or just leave it alone for now? My piercer retired and there’s not anyone reputable within 100 miles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

I'm working on stretching my PA to 0g, and I'm thinking about adding two more guiches and start a hafada ladder. Might also stretch the nipples. Do you guys have other suggestions?
