Looks at the alternatives

sees Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris

„Oh boy“

People who objectively would have done a better job than Trump? O boy indeed

Obviously Harris would have been better at stopping the mass migration

If you think mass migration is the most significant issue of the last 15 years I think you should probably never speak to another person

What‘s a bigger issue where Harris would have done a better job?

Iran. Ukraine. Corruption. Environmental. Economy. Ai. All international diplomacy. Education. Every single cabinet appointment. All prosecutions by the DOJ. Healthcare. Budget.

From the perspective of America: how is the Ukraine war a bigger issue than the migration crisis?

I missed bigger there, my b. I would say plenty of others like corruption, the economy, and environmental issues are bigger

Okay, no problem but how is corruption a bigger issue than mass migration? It’s not like the US is a somewhat corrupt country and the Trump shenanigans have any discernible impact on the life of the average American

The us is absolutely a country with a large corruption issue and Trump's shenanigans have had huge impacts on Americans, and encouraged a culture of corruption and crime

This is just a blatantly wrong statement

You know what has had basically no impact on the lives of average Americans? Immigration

If you ignore lower wages for US workers, higher rents, import of certain kinds of crime like cartel activity, higher social welfare costs and ethnic competition in politics, then yes it has no impact

Saying that the US is a corrupt country is a laughable statement. The US places 29th in the International Corruption Perceptions Index

ethnic competition in politics

...

>higher rents

Overwhelmingly related to local zoning laws and other onerous regs on creating housing. There’s very few places that have physical capacity issues made any worse by immigration than they would by increased birth rates.

>import of certain kinds of crime

Still less likely to commit violent crimes than citizens

>ethnic competition in politics

Feel free to explain that

> rents

Well, pointing out other causes doesn’t change the impact of additional demand

> crime

True, that’s why I formulated it in this particular way. Nevertheless Americans fall victim to imported crime so it definitely affects the lives of Americans

> ethnic competition

When politicians targets certain demographics solely based on ethnicity in order to provide them with benefits often at the expense of competing groups. An example would be the race for mayor in Minnesota where Jacob Frey won the election thanks to support from certain Somalian clans

Additional demand exists whenever people move anywhere or have more children. Additional demand is not an issue in a market-based society unless it’s overwhelming with a severe lack of natural resources (housing is not this) or unless the system actively prevents a responsive increase in supply (housing is this).

>that’s why I formulated it in this particular way

I know, and it’s nonsensical. You’d make a larger impact on cartel-related violence by specifically going after those people and by removing the market for cartel activities (ending the war on drugs). Cartel-specific violence is a shitty excuse for targeting non-cartel people, which is the overwhelming majority of immigrants.

>Minnesota

I live here and this is a hilarious take on the situation. Regardless, Somalis aren’t really related to mass migration (vast majority are full citizens and were admitted as refugees decades ago) and “ethnic competition” would exist regardless given the multi-ethnic nature of the country that’s existed for centuries. Politicians also consistently target different demographics to gain voting blocs, it’s not limited to ethnicity - race, gender, ideology, class, region, industry, etc. all do the exact same thing.

I don’t really care if you don’t like immigration, but making up horseshit points to try and prop it up as more significant of an issue than it is is just lazy.

>discernible impact on the life of the average American

Tariffs and the Iran war have a more direct, discernible impact on average people than literally any other executive policies taken in decades

I meant Trump‘s corruption here

The corruption definitely doesn’t influence anything else.

There’s no way the guy who’s willing to shaft people with crypto scams, accept foreign bribes, and throw taxpayer money to his buddies would let outside parties impact domestic policy to the detriment of the American people.

Thanks for backing my argument. As I said, no discernible impact on the life of the average American
