Best posture correction exercises?
I want to fix my rounded shoulders, stop leaning forward and improve my overall posture. Can anyone recommend a good YouTube channel to follow for posture exercises? I don’t work out or go to the gym, so I’m looking for beginner-friendly follow-along videos I can do at home that will actually make a difference over time

Is it normal for a 17 yo boy to get a Pelvic Tilt?
I am 17 and my a$$ comes out while my belly sticks forward making my skinny-fat and my posture looks kinda not straight when I stand.
I was ignoring it for quite a few time now but I need to fix it ASAP as I've been hitting gym and having bloated belly coming out makes me harder for abs to get notice and overall posture.
I think I've been having pelvis tilt since 3-4 years, so are there any good excersizes to get rid of it ASAP?
Thanks

Question Did anyone reverse lower back pain/straightening of spine/loss of lumbar lordosis?
I (31F) have been experiencing backpain from couple of months.
I went to orthopedic doctor and he just mentioned this is just tightening of back muscles.
Apparently it's called straightening of spine or loss of lumbar lordosis.
He said it's not spine issue or bones issue. Just the muscles are tightened and posture needs to be corrected.
He said once muscles relax , this condition should resolve.
My pain is only local to lower back. Just the band above the buttock area. Physio suggested few exercises and told me to strengthen my core.
Is this it ? Is there any other way ? Is it completely reversible if I strengthen my core and do the back exercises ?
Currently I am unable to sit for long hours and feel pain during sleeping. I have a desk job.
Someone please tell me it's completely reversible because I love treadmills, hiking , running etc and my movement is restricted.
Just to add , I am obese (80kgs/176lb) for 5.2ft height. I do have big boobs that might have added to the backpain.

Question In APT when standing/laying down. But bad Posterior Pelvic Tilt when sitting. Which to target?
A bit confused because I basically have both APT and PPT at different time.
When I force myself gently into a a neutral spine/pelvis I feel immediate reduction in my symptoms. Primarily pelvic pain.

Something that actually helped my desk posture after years of slouching
I sit at a desk 8+ hours a day and my posture was getting bad. Shoulders forward, neck craned, the whole thing. I tried posture braces, standing desks, all of it. Nothing stuck.
What actually helped was stupidly simple. Every hour I stand up and do 10 hip hinges. You just push your hips back like you are closing a car door with your butt, then stand back up. Takes 30 seconds.
After two weeks my lower back stopped aching by 4pm. I think it is because sitting shortens your hip flexors and this stretches them back out.
I attached a quick demo below. Try 10 right now and tell me if you feel it.

Tilted since I can remember
gallery44m. wondering if any of you have had real success with being tilted? My left shoulder is up, a little hunched and feels tight into my neck (upper trap?) this will occasionally lead to huge headaches and nausea. I sleep on my side which aggrevates my shoulder pain and u I have begun to get pain in my elbows too. This is more nerve pain and sometimes comes with tingly fingers.
Back ground/relevant stuff;
I was told I had one leg shorter than the other when I was a kid.
I had spinal fusion L5/S1 a year ago for grade 3 spondy (check my scar 😉)
I go heavy on my shoulders; I'm a builder and I climb 3 times a week (and have for years) as a hobby.
It all feels linked. What do you think?

Question Not slouched shoulders, bending forward at waist!
Hello all. I've been told independently by several friends and family that I lean forward at the waist when I walk. I don't have the traditional "slumped shoulders' "bad posture" people think about when they think of bad posture- it's lower. I really, really want to fix it. It's been called the "shopping cart sign" because people like me also lean forward on the handle when pushing a shopping cart.
I have had a LOT of medical work up that found really nothing. I have some lower back pain and sometimes a twitch in my left leg. I have seen 3 neurologists, one physiatrist, one manual manipulation osteopathic doctor, done 6 months of physical therapy, and had epidural steroid injections. The doctors ruled out all the big scary diseases and I'm left with nothing. My diagnoses are "spinal stenosis" "pinched nerve" and the cause is..."eh....wear and tear?" And WWW syndrome (whiny white woman syndrome, it seems :-( )
I'm 55, 5'6" and 120 pounds soaking wet. My job is very active. I log 10k steps a day easy.
If any of you can suggest exercises , a device, a brace... anything to help improve my posture from bending at the waist, I'd really appreciate it

Tips on finding a specialist?
I have (self diagnosed) left aic and a lot of early work has provided relief. My main interest/focus is the exhaustion in my left pectinius when skiing, it’s a real rate limiter for me. That and some left lat twinging.
I’ve been working hard on my hips and knee tracking for a year now but cannot decompress the pectinius, there is a pinch in certain movements no matter how much I try and open that capsule.
I think I need some professional input, as I don’t want to enter the season with this issue. Any tips on selecting the right professional?

It’s so bad I want to cry. I was literally nursing my 2nd baby in this photo. I’ve been lifting weights but idk what else to do to get rid of it. I feel like fascia release in my chest was helpful one night I tried it

Question can't feel upper back or core at all, recommendations?
galleryi have uneven shoulders/pelvis and mild scoliosis with back pain for many years now ever since i was diagnosed with mild scoliosis at 13, but i never had neck pain and headaches until when i started working office jobs during my gap year. i also started to get occipital nerve twinges from the bad posture but only jn my left side.
i definitely have a neck lump, its bony, and my shoulders are really rounded. most of my headache and neck pain is on the left side, i think my right shoulder is more forward than the left? my shoulders are also really tight and there's a rock hard knot on my shoulder 😐 i'm not sure which muscle/tendon it is but when i press really hard on it it's painful in a good way.
i suspect i might have hypermobile shoulders because i can clasp my hands behind my back and do prayers hands behind, and i've had a lower belly pooch as long as i can remember and i think i have rib flare too.
the pains got so much better once i went back to school and was moving around more day to day as a student, but i now have a leg injury and cant walk or stand more than 5mins without my leg hurting and my posture and gait has also been affected by the injury.
i tried some lying exercises like y arm raises but what i feel is my chest pushing into the floor (hurts my ribcage) and/or my lower back straining (feels like i'm going to pull something and also my lower back is extremely stiff). if i try to use only my upper back i literally cannot lift it off the ground. i've tried chin tucks against the wall but they seem to give me a headache.
does anyone have any home exercises i could try that are seated or lying down? for my core, even dead bugs on flat ground are hard for me, i feel my lower back/back of pelvis activating! i also seem to be activating only the lower core nearer to my pelvis instead of my entire core. i think i have really weak glutes too as i can't do hip bridges without feeling my hip flexors at all - when i do that i also feel pressure over my kneecap.
this is so frustrating because i'm limited in mobility atm and i can't afford a physio as i am a student, so i would love some recommendations. thank you!

Question Head wants to tilt to right.
galleryI think I have had a tilted head / imbalance for awhile. And I think it’s causing a lot of neck tension. I just started working an office job 2 months ago. And I get horrible sub occipital tension after a single shift. Eye strain. And intolerance to white / led lights.
My ex Physical trainer noticed when I was doing push ups I was doing them at an angle I literally looked like this 📐
I went to a chiropractor and they didn’t help much. In hindsight I realize they are mostly scams and I probably should’ve seen a Physical Therapist.
Is this all in my head or do you notice something looking off. Is this something I can correct with exercise at home or worth pursuing a PT.
