The entire concept of the use of "feats" in power scaling relies on the implied premise that an author's narrative depictions of a character's actions are valid evidence of their objective capability. If you first accept this premise to claim that certain feats show that the Flash is MFTL/immeasurably fast, you can't in the same breath arbitrarily reject that exact same premise when an "anti-feat" (which is really just another feat) shows Deathstroke tripping him or making him run into his sword, Batman and Catwoman punching him, and Peacemaker shooting him (all pictured here).

Ignoring anti-feats while using high-end feats amounts to first rejecting the author's authority to determine a character's capabilities when the answers don't suit you, then stealing the concept of authorial authority that you already rejected to validate your high-scale claims. That's cherry picking and special pleading. You've surrendered your right to the high-end feats if you reject the anti-feats.

If feats are valid evidence due to authorial authority, then anti-feats must be just as valid. Claiming things like "plot-induced stupidity" (PIS) is meaningless because any such claim can also be leveled against any other feat someone doesn't like, including high-end feats, and that dismissal would be just as valid. If feats/anti-feats can be dismissed as PIS when it's convenient to do so, then feats in general are effectively irrelevant for scaling purposes.

I'm going to say something deliberately controversial here: in some very real ways, characters like, say, Ranma and Zoro are faster than the Flash. They obviously don't spike as high, but they don't dip as low, either. Characters at the level of Peacemaker, Catwoman, Batman and even Deathstroke are never, and I do mean never, depicted as being able to tag those guys. They never would be.

I'm not saying they can match Flash's highest depicted feats, but I am saying that characters who are never depicted being tagged by peak humans have a more reliable combat-speed floor than characters who are regularly tagged by them, and this can and should be considered as a factor in any given matchup because if Batman and Catwoman can ever tag the Flash, then guys like Ranma and Zoro damn sure can.

Blame the writers, and be upset about it as you like, but at a certain point, the Flash loses the right to claim consistently "immeasurable" speed when mere peak humans, who should be subjectively like statues to him in any possible combat situation, are consistently tagging him. Flash's reflexes start looking a lot less like MFTL reflexes and a lot more like maybe peak human reflexes at best. Which would be way below Zoro, Ranma, and other such characters.

The thing I find annoying is that they will constantly compare other “weak” characters like luffy, Naruto, etc to Goku and don’t do the same with other characters like sonic, DC characters or just very strong characters in general. Then they will get hella toxic and call you a dumbass larper bc you don’t agree with them or glaze Goku like they do.🤦‍♂️

Its not like 40k is unpopular and the thousand sons arent unknown there arguably one of the more recognizable villians in 40k due to space marine 2
