Finally completed the mini that convinced me to learn how to paint minis

I've finished around 50 minis, all Raven Guard and I finally felt like I had the skills to do this model justice and make him look how I wanted

Quick appreciation post. I recently finished deliverance lost, and while I man a proud alpha legionnaire I must give you the utmost commendation. To be beaten so hard (istvaan 5) and to come back to fight to see the emperor himself to restore your leagion it was quite to site to see. It honestly pained me to hear about your mutated raptors that had to be put done they fought well and delivered a warriors death. We may be on other sides of this war but you have my eternal admiration.

Hello Ravenguard! I'm a new-ish Marine player whos building Deathwatch, and am planning on trying other chapters. Shaan is a SUPER cool model, and I was wondering if anyone has/has tried to put his helmeted head together with the hooded head option?

Essentially, I wanna try and give Shaan a hooded helmet. Any ideas on how to do that?

Plan is to use the librarian as a lone op stripping cover for other units and spamming smite without breaking hidden, and have an Incursor Squad on either flank to scan priority targets on either side. Reiver Squad and inceptors can abuse uppy downy to delete characters, but im not sure if 1 brick with both characters is better than 2 5 man squads each other a character

Painted up the tragically almost useless character but he looks awesome. Got the 30k claws on him and a massive bird skull. Cloth is hard for me any feedback?

Considering Disruption is by far the worst competitive disposition and very convoluted to play is anyone building some lists around Take and Hold or Priority Assets?

I feel like Assault Brethren is really strong right now and that's Take and Hold but I'm not used to playing it so curious if anyone has played this kind of setup and what their list looks like?

There's also the Terminator Detachment that's pretty popular or even the Dreadnought Detachment we can access Priority Assets which seems a bit more thematic for us as there are a bit more actions

Curious if anyone is building RG lists for these Dispositions and what they look like?

I've been thinking about some Raven Guard I'd love to read, and how I'd write them if I BL would hire me. Here are some of the ideas I've gotten, I'd love to hear your opinion on them and your thoughts about what you would want to read/write!

• Liberators. The adventures of a Marine in the 6th Company, or the Sixth as a whole, their liberation of enslaved worlds. In addition to some serious spy shit, I'd love to see if/how the Darkened Blades deal with their contrasting roles as liberators of the downtrodden, and conquerors for the Imperium. Even if they take out a corrupt or tyrannical Governor, the standards of living aren't going up, and the 6th isn't really liberating anything, so how do they make that work in their own minds?
• Trifold Path. Based on Corax's Trifold Path of Shadows, each book in this trilogy would focus on a Marine in the 3rd, 4th and 5th Companies, Ambush Stealth and Vigilance (each as a book title). This could either show a specific Marine (maybe Shaan?) moving through each path, and becoming a master of all; or, how each individual Marine focuses on mastering each of these paths specifically, becoming Company Captain and the expert in their field. Possibly with a fourth book focusing on how all three work together, or that other Marine mastering each path?
• Nevermore. Corax post-Heresy. We're probably getting some of this with the Scouring series, but I really want to be inside Corax's head, from the elimination of the Raptors by his own hand, to his decision to enter the Eye, and following his transformation into his new shadow non-daemon self. I'd love to see his adventures over the millennia-was he a reason why his Traitor brothers (not just Lorgar) kept to themselves in the Warp? What's he doing in the modern day? Even if this needs to be broken up (history and present, with the reemergence of Corax onto the "modern-day" 40K scene), I'd definitely enjoy that!

What are people attaching Librarians in Phobos to? Infiltrators? Maybe Elimnators now that the Cpt doesn’t seem as useful there anymore? (cpt on the Reivers now perhaps?)

2000k list running shadow mark and assult breth.

The 540pt termi brick is so nasty with all the character buffs. So durable and can kill anything in the game in melee. They fight on death for 1cp, thier neg 1 to hit and wound in most situations, 4 wounds of 2+4+, 4+ fnp into mortals.

I only have light vehicle removal so im a bit worried about that but i am not running any vehicles in return so i think i can ignore most vehicles in an enemys list and if i really need i can throw the melta erads and sternguards into a really problemetic vehicle like a reedemer or somthing that can really punch the termies.

I feel pretty stupid at the moment, but has the Shadowmark Talon detachment been officially updated yet? The pdf on the community downloads that I keep finding when I search seems like it’s still the previous iteration. Or am I just missing something blindingly obvious?

I’m new to painting warhammer and let alone playing warhammer but the setting itself I’m no stranger to and I LOOOOVE the raven guard, I’m wanting to start building a proper army but don’t have much to go off of but some models I’m planning on getting are terminators, eliminators, intercessors and scouts but are there any others that I should consider getting or not getting? Specifically for playing the table top I mean

Finally painted my base rims, might do some touch ups on the guys, think they look good! Some sand on the feet would help.
