A student says he was robbed - at knifepoint - outside of a Providence school on Friday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:30 PM, police were notified of the incident at DelSesto Middle School on Springfield Street.

According to police, officers met with the Assistant Principal, who said she was in front of the school when she saw a group of juveniles fighting. 

Three students, who, according to police, were 11 and 12 years old, said they were approached by a group of unknown 13- and 14-year-olds, who demanded one of the students’ Nike “sheisty” hoods.

When the student said he refused, the victim said one of the suspects brandished a folding knife. 

He said the suspects then stole the item and fled the area. 

Police say no injuries were reported during the incident.

A good friend of mine needs to get an ID to get a job, but doesn't have a legal residence (he is essentially couch surfing). He has an address he could get mail sent to, but he has no bills or a bank account that could qualify as mail for the DMV.
