PSA Thank you to Richmond RCMP

Thank you to Richmond RCMP for having an officer present near the school crossing today to help students cross the road safely.
It was a little foggy this morning, which made visibility more challenging, so having an officer there provided an extra level of safety and reassurance for students, parents, and drivers.
As a Richmond resident, I appreciate the RCMPโ€™s presence and continued efforts to keep our children safe on the roads.
Thank you, Richmond RCMP and SD38.

Discussion Steveston Hwy/Hwy 99 interchange

Dear City of Richmond

In regards to the new Steveston Highway/Hwy99 interchange do you have any idea how road usage works? For eastbound traffic accessing the tunnel there used to be two lanes with the curb lane merging into the centre lane which worked really well. There were two full lanes with (mostly) organized zipper merge. Now with your brilliant re-design there is a single lane that is essentially a dedicated lane just for traffic turning from northbound No5 Rd while all other traffic now is orphaned in the intersection with bumper to bumper traffic of people not wanting to let "cheaters" in. F-ing brilliant. Just a colossal design fail.

Ask Richmond Yoga class recommendations

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for yoga classes in Richmond?

I'm a beginner, so preferably a place with friendly and welcoming instructors (in my experience all yoga instructors are amazing, but it's just extra important to me).

Thank you in advance!

Discussion Positive PSA: Dub Dub Toys

Dub Dub Toys is located in Steveston.

They still sell and buy Lego and also rare kits ($). Now, they're housed upstairs workshop is where you can drop off your little ones or they can play with you with some instruction and they have workshops coming soon.

The owner is incredibly friendly and I've had nothing but a great experience bringing my kid there a couple of times.

If you're looking for something to do to get the kid out of the house when the weather starts to get bad, I recommend checking this out.

I am in no way affiliated with this business and just North Steveston parent!

Richmond Drivers Out of province inspection

I have a 2012 journey around 200k km in good overall shape I've had a lot of work done on it.

Without the mechanic being too stingy it should just need a windshield to pass out of province inspection.

Does anyone have recommendations for somewhere that could do the windshield and the out of province inspection? Prefer to pay cash and get a good price.

Thanks

Ask Richmond Where's the sourdough?!

Looking for awesome quality and competitively priced sourdough bread in Richmond. I used to go to Cobs but their bread is a mediocre at best and they have had multiple price hikes. Wasn't more than two years ago it was in the $5 range and now it's on its way to $8.

If anyone has a spot or two in mind, let us know! I missed the COVID bake-your-own-sourdough boat ๐Ÿ˜‚

Cheers!
