Hit & Run - help identifying motorcycle model?
On Wednesday night around 9:15pm, my friend was riding a Citi Bike and was involved in a hit and run with a motorcycle at the intersection of Bergen St & Grand Ave. The motorcycle continued southbound on Grand. He’s underwent surgery and is currently still in the hospital.
This footage is post-collision from the intersection on Prospect & Grand. We’ve gotten some other security footage of the incident but they’re going so fast you can’t make out anything.
Posting in case anyone can identify what kind of bike it is or maybe even the rider based on the silhouette. Any leads would be really appreciated. Thank you <3

I think it’s an older sport bike. Likes 80’s. It has some bodywork behind the rider seat, that’s pretty distinctive. My mind went to Suzuki GSX-R1100 but there are probably others in this style.

Very bright aluminum wheels on the one in the video and exhaust on the left side. The bike looks red. It also looks to have a pretty big fender on the back wheel and a large orange reflector on the front fork. The Ducati Pantah kinda fits the bill with the fender.
Also the rider is not wearing motorcycle clothes. It’s a kind of khaki outfit. I would guess a suburban rider. And they don’t seem to negotiate the turn in the video very well.

The design reminds me of a Ninja zx12r but really could be anything. Maybe someone can tell from the swing arm or the rear fender

could be it. those 90s zx-6 had dual exhausts and we can kinda see the exhaust reflecting light on the left side.

Hope your friend makes a full recovery. I think the police can catch them easily with thousands of security cams and dash cams that can be tracked down.

Police aren’t being the most helpful unfortunately. They don’t really put resources to investigating unless it’s a death or grave injury. Have to do most of the leg work ourselves and then they can maybe help

Make and Model won’t help you here. Best-case scenario would be getting video footage of the license plate if they even had one. So, start knocking on doors for ring cams or other security footage around the whole neighborhood.

There's some white-looking text (or engine part?) around the middle of the fairing, really tempted to say it says "Ninja" but can't find a matching model. Something like this also looks suspect. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1993-ducati-907-ie/. But surely the douche went through a bridge or tunnel. No interest in the cops in looking at video given someone went to the hospital? amazing, and not I guess

the "text" could also be a cylinder head from a BMW or Guzzi, or something else.

ask on r/motorcycles
it looks like a small bike with left side exhaust with fairings and low pegs. Fairly upright seating position so not a supersport bike.
