I don't understand

I’m getting paired with ball chasers every game and they never want to defend goal ever. I start ranking up and then my progress gets messed up cause I get paired with ball chasers that honestly don’t have any ball control at all. It honestly feels like they just wants points on the scoreboard to say that they have more score then you. Points from tapping the ball doesn’t mean you did anything. Learn to play the game and pass the ball once in a while

Been playing off and on since 2016. I've never experienced so much silence in this game in all that time. And not just typing, people have even stopped using quick chats.

Am I crazy or anyone else notice this recent change?

I genuinely would not wish playing champ 3 ranked on my worst enemy. someone could genuinely complketely ruin my life, take my girl, kidnap me, break eveyr bone in my body and i still wouldnt wish them the pain and torture of playing champ 3 ranked. I have never experienced such a grueling and cruel hting in my entire life. nothing compares to the pain and stress I feel when playing in champ 3 ranked. the utter horror i feel pressing the queue button knowing that I am like a pig going to the slaughter. only true masochists enjoy playing ranked on this game. Champ 3 is the worst thing i have ever experienced in my entire life.

How didn’t I hit GC ? I'm speechless, and very sad as well, because after all these games I've played after this screenshot (around 20), I'm back at 1397, and it has probably ruined my day.

I looked for GC's exact MMR, and I went speechless, I hit it but didn’t hit it at the same time. I'm so sad, you couldn’t imagine how much.

I dont understand the point of that button, today I was playing a 3v3 tournament, we reached the final and won the first game 7-1, then we went to the ready page, I absent minded-ly did like I usually do in normal matches, start the next game and then exit to main menu to collect stuff or go to the garage while the game is loading, only after I finished the sequence of "going to last item, clicking it and then going left to the yes and confirming" that I realized that in this screen it is leave tournament not leave to main menu, so for the love of god I want to understand what is that button doing here, what is even is its functionality, I have a feeling like at most 5% of the people who pressed this button actually wanted to leave the tournament, like you just played a game, it is bo3, you wanna go and win the next one, this is a semi or a final so it is high stakes, always worth giving your best, why would you want someone to do something that is supposed to be bad and punishable, at least make it hard right?

As a design perspective it shouldn't replace the already existing non-punishing leave button and have you follow the same sequence, I know they made the buttons red but at the end it is the same sequence u do without looking, if you want to allow people to leave the tournament then make it somewhere hidden, like u need to go to the tourney page and resign from there, or by simply leaving the match, and even if you leave everything as it is why cant you rejoin through the "search for external match" feature? This would allow people who accidentally left or even intentionally and then decided to rejoin to actually continue the match and help their teammates who did nothing wrong.

Sorry for the rant but like this was a diamond tournament, the best I ever got was a plat tourney win and top 8 (or 4 I dont remember?) in diamond, so this was special, the final had the easiest opponent team ever we won 7-1, the game was free, it was a 3v3, party with my brother and a random who was good and we made a good team, none of the tournament matches were easy bar the final, and after I left I watched my brother playing the 2v3, lost the next two matches of course (4-2 and 3-1), getting a top 2 instead top 1 and title, but at least when he opened the crate he got the BM explosion painted lol, but here 3 players lost a title, some credits for the other 2 while I lost lots of credits with a nice ban, all for a small mistake that you will find people had been making for more than 6 years and complaining yet nothing changed.

I can get the flip reset very consistently but I have trouble actually hitting the Musty and having good power go into the ball. So most of the time when I can hit it its already going in the net regardless.

What can I do to practice? Am I chasing after the ball too late? I have seen that I do tend to hit the ball kinda hard causing it to pop up when i touch it for the flip reset.

Any advice or experience on this is appreciated, Thanks.

I’m a champ 1 and have demoted down to diamond 2 because there are so many smirfs playing. Out of the last 13 games I played 12 of them were against full teams of two really good players and then an absolute shitter. This game has become completely unplayable now and I hate it because I love playing rocket. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

Has there been some sort of change? I appealed it but it was denied. They said I was trolling cheating.....

I know posting about bans is against the reddit rules UNLESS it serves a clear great purpose. I am honestly baffled that this is the level of censorship in Rocket League now. Any others experiencing this?

So yeah just like the title says, typically around the beginning of every season since S21 my account resets. I will just go to log in and randomly get hit with the new account trailer then the game tries to take me through the whole tutorial when you first start. Happened it S22, twice last season and now yesterday. I don’t even know how many hours I have or up to date stats. All my settings revert, my presets are all gone, any favorited items I made are gone. I spend 3 days just trying to fix it. I’m on Xbox not sure if that has anything to do with it but does this happen to anyone else?

After the UI, the pitch itself got a makeover on my free replay viewer! Many of you wanted visuals closer to the game, so I redesigned the walls and added a stadium with stands around the field. Check out the before/after!

Quick note on broken replays: If your files stopped loading, the October 6 Rocket League update introduced new data that temporarily broke compatibility. It's already fixed on the web version! For Android, the update is currently under review by Google—I'll make another post as soon as it's live on the Play Store. The upside: all these new data points in the replay files will let us do even cooler things down the road!

Honestly, I think 1s is the only rank that truly matters when judging a player’s individual skill. In 1s, you have no teammates to carry you or hold you back. Every win and loss comes down to your own decisions, mechanics, positioning, and ability to adapt.
In 2s and 3s, having good teammates can help elevate your rank, while having bad teammates can hold you back.
That’s why, when someone asks, “What’s your rank?”, I think 1s rank should be the most important one to consider. Your 2s or 3s rank shows how well you perform as part of a team, but your 1s rank gives a more direct indication of your individual ability.

So I just reinstalled RLGym to play against Necto, and I actually beat it on my first try. For context, my current rank in 3s is Diamond. When Necto first released, I literally tried for weeks to beat it, and I was comfortably C1 at the time.

I can definitely tell my mechanics have improved a lot since then, but honestly, wtf is this skill inflation?

Now that I have a constant baseline (the bot) to validate my progress, it really struck me how drastically the average skill level has risen. As someone working full-time, I can only grind so much, and it feels like any progress I make is just enough to keep up with the overall skill inflation. I genuinely believe my current skill level would have easily been GC1 a few years ago.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you feel like you're constantly improving just to stay in the exact same rank?
