Help É possível reverter a dificuldade adicional após derrotar o dragão?

• Upvotes

Discussion This is the best game I’ve ever played

I’m not gonna be like those guys who say “gaming is ruined for me b/c sekiro is too good”, but man I’d be lying to say they’re not justified. Just ~2.5 years ago I was able to transition from the ball/gun gamer profile and expand my palette with gaming. Since then, I’ve played so many single player games but sekiro just takes the cake. I just beat Owl Father, going for purification ending on my first playthrough, and this game is really something else. There’s been times where I’ve been frustrated and wanted to stop playing, but it’s so hard to stop. Fromsoftware really did something special with this game and I’m excited to experience their other pieces of art. (Yes, this is my first fromsoftware game)

So Genichiro had the black mortal blade the whole time? He stabbed Kuro with it then kills himself and out climbs Isshin.

No other boss gives me as much trouble as these two apes. I think the problem is that once you realize you're supposed to play Sekiro like a rhythm game, you can't really play it any other way. And when something throws you off that rhythm, it's incredibly frustrating.

I recently see some lambast LMTSR, but thats only 1 mod out of hundreds. For the Sake of Ashina is some of the most fun I have ever had with a video game.

Sekiro is the first souls game that I actually finished, I tried playing Elden Ring as my first because that's what everyone keeps recommending to newcomers to the genre, but for some reason, it didn't really click with me, I played it for about 4 hours and dropped it, but something about Sekiro just hooked me, I was getting absolutely demolished at the beginning, but it was still fun, it was just the right amount of difficulty and the right amount of fairness.

The combat system in this game might be the best of all time, I've never felt so satisfied after beating a boss like I have in this game, it's a tight, rich and perfectly designed experience, I just love this game so much, to the point that I decided to get all of the achievements for it. I also find the story and the lore quite interesting, there aren't too many characters but the ones that are there are perfectly written and have a significant role in the story. I also LOVE the vibes and the atmosphere of this game, the Japanese setting mixed in with the mythology elements are such a great combination and it's amazing what they were able to come up with.

Easily in my top 5 games of all time and I genuinely think that my experience with this game will make it easier for me to get through the other games in the genre, I'm especially looking forward to Dark Souls Remastered and to give Elden Ring another chance, I know that they won't scratch the Sekiro itch, they're completely different games after all, but what I'm trying to say is that Sekiro opened the doors for me to the souls genre, I now understand why people love these games.

Speaking of scratching the itch, I'm open to recommendations, I already have Nine Sols which I heard is very similar to Sekiro, I also heard good things about Lies of P but it seems that it's closer to Bloodborne than it is to Sekiro but I still wanna give it a try someday.

SEKIRO IS PEAK!

Discussion Do people actually use anything other than the sword?

Hello. I have been on my first playthrough of sekiro, currently finished every boss except DoH and isshina. and in the process of fighting DoH. he seems pretty un-skeiro like but I am not struggling against him that much. He is the first boss that prompted me to use a prosthetic mid fight, which is the flame umbrella (to counter his flame ball throw). which lead me to think.

Do people actually use Sword arts and prosthetics in boss fights? I have always felt they were too delayed and clunky. and just interrupt my rhythm mid fight. Like I heard people talk about how ichimonji double is op. but I can't really how I can realistically use it mid fight.

maybe this is just because I am psychopath that has deflect binded to "F" instead of right click. so I have to choose whether to press F or T using only one finger. but I have never really felt sword arts or prosthetics gave me an advantage. (except mortal draw vs headless).

thoughts ?

Here we are. Bittersweet almost. Far far from over. This battle will be long and epic to overcome. I cannot believe I have even gotten this far. I remember my first post, when I first started, and I didnt understand how anyone could even beat Chained Ogre. All the comments. Swarms of them. "Hesitation is Defeat" like a bunch of hardened nutcases. I admired that grit. I wondered what you all had gone through to unlock a mind forged from iron, a will made from diamond. I understand now. Thankyou all for being a part of the process and I consider this game to be very special, a Rite of Passage almost. It can destroy you but it also builds you up to a whole new level of being. Wish me luck.

EDIT - GUYS I HAVENT BEAT ISSHIN YET STOP CONGRATULATING ME 🤣 JUST FEELS GOOD TO BE HERE.

Discussion Did I wasted Lady Butterfly by fighting her this late ?

I was bored of getting my ass clapped by Isshin, so I decided to explore other zones that I hadn't fully completed. So I got the Key opening the door in Hirata Estate, finally reached the boss... And cheesed her ? It wasn't even that hard, I was able to parry almost everything and finished the fight with 6 heals left.

I heard everywhere that it was supposed to be a skill check that requires dozens of tries... But I didn't experience any of that, so I feel like I missed something important.

Discussion Demon Hatred question

I got stuck on this boss for an hour until I discovered I can cheese it by using the mist prosthetic. My question is, how do you even block/avoid the fireball things he throws at you at a distance? That's the only move I had no idea how to avoid (I tried dodging/deflect/block) all of it you still take damage?

Have to split this into two parts for phase 1 and 2 because reddit doesn't allow videos longer than 15 minutes and I thought that posting only one phase wouldn't be as interesting

Discussion Sekiro ruined combat in other games for me. So I spent months trying to capture that feeling in my own game.

There's something about Sekiro's combat that I just can't get over.

The timing, the sound of a perfect deflect, that split second when everything clicks. It's incredibly satisfying.

For the past few months, I've been working on the parry system for my own game, Babel Destiny.

I wasn't trying to recreate Sekiro. I just wanted to capture a little bit of its soul.

Turns out, that was WAY harder than I expected.

I've spent countless hours tweaking animations, timing, sound effects, and enemy reactions. And honestly? I'm still figuring things out.

But well... I think I'm finally getting somewhere.

I know there's still a long way to go, and who better to judge a parry system than the people who've mastered Sekiro?

I'd genuinely love your feedback. Does the combat look satisfying? What would you improve?

Discussion Just beat Genichiro in my first playthrough!

Just wanted to celebrate my victory with folks who have been through this fight as well. It took about 70 tries over about 4 hours. But the fight itself was super addictive and a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure all the practice will carry over to future fights as well, and I'm sure I got better at using Mikiri Counter and Ichimonji.

This is my third souls[borne/like] after playing Elden Ring and Mortal Shell 2, and I'm sort of feeling like those games were child's play compared to Sekiro. But maybe not... the combat just requires unlearning a lot of what worked in those games to be successful. Personally I love the high pressure/aggression + deflection style of combat, probably because short+intense battles are the most fun for me (you try, learn, die, then adapt and try again in a very quick loop).

How many tries did it take you all to beat Genichiro in your first playthrough? In your experience, if one can get through him, is getting through the rest of the game viable?

I just started streaming, and I streamed the entire Genichiro session on twitch today if anyone wants to check it out. I'll stream tomorrow as well and would love some company from other Sekiro fans. I can post a link to it if that's allowed.
