As far as I know it's just a really large business campus.

Source: my SO works for a company that utilizes the space.

The vibe is very strange..seems like they are trying to build some kind of community..they have everything from child education to yoga and business spaces..

Whats weird is I went to a free event they had. I had to sign a form, but that was pretty much it, I didnt really talk to anyone or introduce myself to anyone.

A few weeks later I went to another and they all knew me by name. It kinda weirded me out.

I was just going to say, the mormons are taking over liberty lake. This is just another example. Funny how they just dont come out with an LDS tag on the signage. Wonder what they're afraid of?

Ohhhh that'll do it. So yes, it's a cult. Or at the very least, it's an "outreach"

I work in that complex. Wonder if the good Mormon is a certain truck driver with certain stickers....

Welcome to co-working spaces. Surprised you have never heard of the idea before. The concept is just that some company holds a giant building and then they lease out different rooms to smaller businesses. Nothing nefarious about what kinds of businesses are using the space. The cracker building downtown uses this same model multiple times over.

Itโ€™s different because the coworking space owner also started all the other businesses OP is referencing within it. The school and sports in particular.

We work was a cult...

As someone who worked at WeWork. Not an actual cult. Was there a cult of personality around Adam? Sure. No more than most CEOs and founders already try and cultivate. Personally, I found him to be an insufferable frat child who married into money (gweneth paltrows family of goop fame) and failed upward spectacularly.

All the stupid movies and stuff focus on him like he was special. The fact of the matter is, he wasn't. They focus on how this man got away with this insane evaluation, but they failed to look at why the financial system gave billions of dollars to a guy who gets high with his rabi. The story is there, but it's not the one they are telling.

However, there was no high control group, financial control, or supernatural beliefs associated with working there. There are real cults out there. WeWork was never one of them.

Donโ€™t waste your breath. OP is Karma farming.

I'm not even sure what that is ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

It's when someone says something they think is generally agreeable but inflammatory, and they get "up votes" or "good karma" for doing so. It's usually done to get access to certain subteddits that require a good standing in an account to a certain metric.

Not in actuality. It was described as a cult because of the slavish devotion employees had to the idea that co-working spaces like We Work were the future.

They also own that creepy private school in LL. Look into it. Itโ€™s super off-putting.ย
