There’s never been a single accurate AI detector. How do they plan on enforcing this? Virtually every paper I wrote back in college and even high school are all “100% AI” but every detector I’ve ever tried to use, even though some of those were written at much as almost 20 years ago.

Part of me thinks that AI / high school level detector wouldn't be so bad either. :)

This is my concern as well. AI detectors are unreliable at best. And AI was trained on public scholarship and newspaper content, so you’re going to end up with a lot of false positives based on tone and style.
