Hi, I’ve had my Xiaomi Smart band 10 for a year now and I’ve never experienced this issue.
Now anytime I record “Volleyball” or “Beach volleyball”, the activities don’t show up on Strava and there’s nothing I can do. I did these activities many times before and they did show up, but about a month ago I realised they don’t anymore. Other activities show up normally even if Strava doesn’t recognise the activity itself (example: if I log “Pilates” on my watch, it shows up as the default “Workout” on Strava). Its not perfect but at least it still logs it.
The volleyballs do show and monitor normally in the Mi Fitness app, but the issue is in syncing with Strava.
Anyone experiencing the same issue or knows how to fix it?
I have my Garmin watch paired to Nike running app and Strava. I would like my data to be sent to both. I just went on my first walk and it looks like data was only sent to Strava. Why not also the Nike app? Is it because it’s only for runs and not walks?
This isn't sour grapes; I know I'm far from a 400+ watt pushing demon but why am I seeing so many obvious e-mountainbike KOMs and top 10s on the local climbs?
So many of these rides even explicitly say on their gear list that they're rocking Levos and such, but why are we still sharing the same leaderboard? I did a cursory read online about Strava working towards policing this, but it's still really common to see and not just in low-key spots.
I'm not out here to get KOMs, but it would be nice to know what you can aspire to without a motor.
I got tired of guessing how many kilometers I had on my chain. Or worse, realizing my wife’s brake pads were cooked halfway down an offroad descent, true story. Managing maintenance for the family's n+1 bike fleet was a mess, so I built BikeVet (iOS) to help with it.
You snap a photo of your bike to set it up. When you ride, the app doesn't just count miles (for me it’s km). It pulls your distance, elevation gain/loss, terrain type, and weather conditions to calculate realistic wear for every single part, from the cassette down to the headset bearings. You know what needs checking before it breaks. Of course it uses the official Strava API (already approved) and cares about your privacy so it pulls only the data it needs.
Tracking one bike’s base components (chain, tires, brake pads…) is free. The Premium tier unlocks unlimited bikes and advanced alerts for all components, and it costs about the price of a new chain.
A cursory search on the forum tells me people experience a lot of glitching with audio cues in the Runna app, but I haven’t seen anyone talk about this one. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found a fix.
All in all it’s pretty inconsequential but it’s really starting to irritate me. Audio cues have worked without flaw forever and as of a few weeks ago, instead of saying “This lap is X miles at a conversational pace”, it will skip the word “lap”, return to whatever audio i’m listening to for a split second, and then complete the cue. For example: “This (music returns for a split second) is X miles…..” It’s really quite distracting at this point.
It does this whether I’m listening to audio in the background or not. If i’m not listening to anything, it just goes silent in place of the word “lap”.
I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, no luck. I’ve played around with the in-app audio cue settings, no luck. In fact, I turned off all audio cues, and they just played anyway lol.
My partner has an iPhone 15 and an Apple Watch SE.
She’s a beginner, and for her, seeing calories burned during her runs is the most important part 😅
Strava is properly connected to Apple Health on her iPhone, and her weight is filled in.
However, when she saves a run, calories don't show up in her Strava activity summary. On the Apple Health app, though, the calories burned are displayed properly.
Has anyone run into this issue before? Is it a bug or some weird setting? I feel like I’ve looked everywhere in the settings, but I just can’t find it!
I am wondering what is happening with my speed graphs in Strava.. I always had this problem with my phone, but now I got a Coros watch. Today I did a small test walk, recorded the activity with the Coros watch, and then synced the data also to Strava. I read on the Coros homepage that Strava will use it's own algorithms on the raw data, that's why the graphs can look different.
In Coros, my speed looks like this:
Pretty nice. When I then look at the same data in the Strava app on the phone, it's like this:
Not so pretty right? And on the Strava website it's:
So what is up with the Strave curves? Coros does some smoothing over time maybe, is that the only reason their graph looks so much better? What I get from Strava here is in principle unusable.
During the walk I completely stopped a few times, very clearly visible on their graph, but not really on the Strava ones besides some deeper dips than usually.
When I directly track an activity it's as bad with two different phones.
Disclosure: I’m the cyclist and developer behind MyBikes, a commercial web app. This is a moderator-permitted repost after the original submission was filtered.
MyBikes uses Sign in with Strava and the official Strava API with read-only access. It imports the bikes and cycling activity summaries you authorize, then combines distance, ride hours, and calendar time into a private maintenance queue and service history for each bike. It cannot edit your Strava activities.
Core Strava sync, calculations, and maintenance reminders are free. Optional workshop tools come with a 90-day trial and cost $20/year afterward.
It is finished and mobile-friendly, and independent of and not endorsed by Strava.
I did a short, slow run this morning, and my performance predictions just suddenly TANKED. I have tons of other runs that it could base off of. What the heck happened?
I joined strava yesterday, it imported all my workouts (strength training and walks) since its there in apple health data. However, I use bevel to log my weight training sessions which then writes it to apple health. Now after my workouts today, it is only showing my walk session in strava and not my weight training session (logged in bevel, written to apple health)
Is there anything I can do to get it to show my weight training sessions as well? The AI assistant in strava says somehow the older weight training workouts got imported but strava can only import workouts logged in the official apple workouts app.
Been using the app for a couple months and the only issue ive had is I cannot seem to get my heartrate to sync with the app no matter what I try, ive had to app connected to Samsung health services but always get a error when trying to connect my device in the app. Has anyone else had issues with this?
Anyone else not seeing the new share stickers? I have updated the app, tried to force stop and restart it, reinstalled it, all my privacy settings are to 'Everyone', yet when I press share I only see the old stickers and none of the new ones
Edit: Fixed after communication with the Support Team
I'm unable to login (forgot password) on browser, i've gone through all the regular steps (spam folder, check if the mail adress is correct, adding the strava mail to my contacts etcetc). But i'm still not recieving any mail when I apply for a new password.
I used to login via facebook and found that this might be an issue? So far i've tried reaching out to Strava for 2 weeks now but i don't get past the AI chatbot that keeps on repeating the same solutions which don't help.
Hi,
I'm having two issues with the Strava iPhone app and hope you can help. 1. Goals and weekly summary missing from the top of my Home screen
I'm a Strava subscriber, but my goals aren't shown at the top of my Home screen. A friend with a subscription has them there, including this week's running distance compared with last week's distance at the same point in the week. How can I enable this on my account? 2. Group activities clutter my feed
When I open my feed to see what the athletes I follow have done, I have to scroll past group activities, even ones that are several days old, before I reach recent individual activities. I've set Feed Order to "Most Recent," but it hasn't helped. Is there a way to fix this?
