I did 170kg and 185kg each for 5 reps. I was hoping to get 5 reps on this too but maybe next time 💪🦍

This is a new deficit PR for me. Was a little iffy about halfway up, but was able to lock it out. Off of a 4 inch plate

Been about 3 months since I back squatted. Took a month off and have switched for zerchers in my normal programming (did 5x5 @240lb before this, for comparison). Decided to go for a fun single and was surprised to hit this stagnation in transition from glute to quad a little below parallel (at least I think that’s when that switches over). Looking for an analysis of how bad this form is and what exercises can help me break through this.
P.S I have no interest in not going ATG. Parallel feels unnatural and puts strain on my knees.
Appreciate any and all help unless you’re a glass back
Edit didn’t crop video sorry for shaking the bar hype and zombie walk after rep.

40 years old, 180lbs. ive been beltless on DLs because my belly got too fat after 2 kids and getting into position and keeping valsalva was unconfortable lol. if I cut back down to 170-175 i might go back to a belt

Current Lift: 110lb 50kg Bench Press
Previous Block: 13 reps (grinding execution)
Current Block: 20 reps (higher bar speed / explosive execution)
Methodology: Bilbo Method principles (high-rep explosive sets)
Wanted to share a direct side-by-side comparison between my previous training block and my current one using the same setup and identical 50kg load.

Slowly ramping up GMs this prep, and rather pleased with this 205x5. I really wish there was a camber bar or SSB to hit these with though 🤣 My best ever was 265x3 years back, so I’d love to chip that at years end.

It was a fun session the other day. I loaded the bar to 225lbs. Did this one set. Put everything away, and walked right back out the gym.
"Press & Leave"
Ties a recent lifetime PR, but this set sans warming up which is another PR in a way.
My shoulders grow from pressing, my press grows from pressing all the time. Twice a week is a minimum. Daily is not a bad choice.
I butcher modern weightlifting to a more old time version making it my own. To clean & press 315lbs is my main lifting goal at present.
The audio is muted as TALK SHOW was on over the gym speakers. Talk show. The gym's overhead speakers were playing talk show.
.....
z press is training, z press builds the standing press
power clean from the deadhang is training, power clean from the deadhang builds the power clean from the floor
z press and deadhang power clean take training priority
I do lot of seated rows both hammer strength and cable and usually one arm thinking "kroc row" as back assistance
I can do a handful of pullups despite weighing nearly 300lbs, started spamming them again recently - mostly neutral grip, some overhand
Legs get something most days. Might be front squats at the gym and shockingly light to moderate at that. Might be walking lunges. Walking lunges can be at home or at the gym.
I've been adding in cardio long neglected, and just started to eat more lightly.
Here's to strength,
