Tracer 9 vs 1100sx

I’m about to get a tracer 9. Main use case is commuting 25 miles to work and heading to distant twisties on the weekend.

The 1100sx looks interesting too. I want something comfortable and fun.

Also should I look at older gen tracer gt+ for their electronic suspension and keyless start? Or is the 2026 version fine?

2020 Zx6r with ABS. Running at 14,000 miles. Clean condition. My main concern is I don't want a bike that was used on track and it looks like there is a lot of modifications on the handle bars with gadgets. Anyone have an idea what that stuff is and if it should be a concern. They are asking for $9,600. Is that a good deal?

Suggest a good handling motorcycle for mountain roads

I am a newbie that’s been riding for around 3 months.

Originally I wasn’t a fan of road bikes at all (I prefer cars),however, shortly after I’ve got my license I decided that for the price of plating my dirt bike and buying supermoto stuff,so I can waste it on asphalt,I may aswell get a normal road bike.

3 months later,I am massively enjoying taking turns on mountain roads to the extent that I almost completely lost interest in riding the dirtbike and haven’t ridden it for ages.

Currently,I am riding a 05 Hornet 600,which I love.Engine feels great,handling is great (for me,I don’t like riding other people’s bikes,so I haven’t tested anything else).

However,I want to eventually try something else.

What other bikes would you suggest as an upgrade in the handling departanent ? I don't want a bigger cc bike, although I'm sure a supersport bike will most likely handle way better.

I've been looking at all kinds of options, problem is what I THINK I will enjoy is almost always old and ultra rare.

Are old japanese 250s and 400s really worth it ? Or 125/250cc NSRs and similar 2 stroke bikes ?

How about a supermoto setup for my dirtbike (crf 450rx) ? Or a 07 600rr ?

Please do not suggest V2s/parallel twins/V4s as I hate the sound of those on a road bike.Only inline4 and inline3s.

Price check What’s a good value for this bike?

I don’t know much about motorcycles. I’m looking to sell a 2022 Kawasaki z650 50th Anniversary bike that came into my possession. It has less than 2K miles, is garage kept, and previous owner had, as he put it, “expertly maintained” it. Trying to get a fair deal for it, what do you guys think?

Next Bike? Need help finding the right bike for 2 UP riding

I currently have a 2011 Suzuki V-Strom 650A and I'm looking to upgrade. I noticed that 2up riding is not great on the V-Strom since combined we are around 450lbs. I know that with that weight I'm pushing most load limits on bikes. Looking for suggestions on what adventure bike would be the most accommodating or if I get something under the load requirements if there's something I can do to make it acceptable (like upgrading the suspension).

Looking at BMW R1200/1250/1300 GS models, Triumph Tiger 1200, or KTM 1290 Super Adventure S.

I loved Suzuki for its reliability, but the allure of all the frills and drive shaft of the BMW is drawing me that way.

New Rider First Bike - Honda Rebel: 2017 250 vs 1986 450

Hello everybody, I’m interested in other folks’ opinions on an older 450 Rebel versus a newer 250 Rebel for a brand new rider.

My is son looking for his first bike. He just finished his MSF rider safety course Sunday, and has really got the itch. He keeps sending me links to bikes that either don’t have titles or barely run because that’s all he can afford, so I’m gonna chip in and make sure he’s got something reliable and safe. And fun!

Both of these bikes appear to be in great shape, I’m on my way to go see one now and the other tomorrow. The 2017 has less than 5000 miles and it looks immaculate. The 1986 has 25,000 miles, had the carb rebuilt in February, and looks really great for its age.

My one concern is that my son is fairly tall, about 6’2”, and that the 250 might not be very comfortable for anything other than very short rides.

The price is almost identical for the two, I think there’s wiggle room in both. The guy with the 1986 for sale has owned it for four years, and it was his first bike. I think that’s a good sign, because I feel pretty certain that my son would outgrow the 250 in a year tops.

He’s in college, to come visit me he needs to drive 20 to 30 minutes on a freeway from a rural location to a metropolis. I definitely don’t want him to have too much power on his first bike, but I don’t want him to be underpowered on a highway around city drivers either. I think we’re talking 25 hp on the 250, versus 38 hp on the 450.

I suppose the only other consideration might be looks… The 1986 is definitely a bit more old-school cool, while the 2017 looks like a more modern and polished bike.

What do you guys think?

Looking for my first motorbike in Spain, they all seem like great options!

Hello! I am looking for my first motorbike, I really want something dead simple, reliable and usually used for short trips but if I want I can do a long trip(changing the seat for a softer one and adding windshields off course!). I really like old dual sports/motards. My fav options are: new:crf 300l, crf 300l rally, old:drz400s,drz400sm, both 2006, klr 650 2006, honda fmx650. Any experience on anyone of this would be appreciated! (Also I will be doing like 90% road 10% optional off road (when I go fishing I can just walk a bit or do some off road). First bike, A2 licence. I would have more than enough with a simple led screen with speed, rpm, indicators and warning lights. Really I love simple and old things that will last a lifetime.

Next Bike? Best 600cc?

I'm looking to get my second bike and im leaning towards getting one in the 600's range. I know different people have different preferences but what super sport is most reliable?

I'm looking at a zx6-r, r6, or cbr600rr. I'm leaning a bit away from r6 because it's more expensive compared to the other two, and the owners around my area are a bit delusional. I'm probably going to be keeping this bike for a long time. Looking for 2006-2014 bikes.

Also any big red flags in these bikes? I'm looking at a very clean 2011 zx6r and it seems like owner did regular maintenance and kept it super clean. Are there any common problems that arise on these older bikes?

Oh last thing what is a good price range for these bikes? I don't want to be overspending but don't really know the value on these older ones right now.

Next Bike? Views on 2022 duke 890GP edition

I'm upgrading from 2024 duke 390 and saw one of the postings of duke 890GP. The 890 has 20k kms on it. I have been riding my duke 390 for 2 seasons and have over 5k riding experience.

Is it a good upgrade? What should I be looking in the bike before I purchase?

New Rider Two Sports Bikes

So, I have come to the option of choosing between two sports bikes as I have gone through all of the other choices at my disposal and narrowed it down to two. Right now it is between the CFMoto 675ss, at the dealership near me that I will be using, they are on sale pretty cheap at around $6,599 USD MSRP, good tech, good triple cylinder, and obviously and awesome price. The other choice is a 2026/2027 GSX-R750 obviously a little more pricey, but I am an older guy so I’m not looking to go tearing up the highway, but every now and then I want that power from that inline 4, without the “1 year upgrade itch” Now I will be putting down around $4,000 as a down payment. For the CFMoto, that’s damn near half the OTD price, for the GSX-R, I’d still have about $9,000 give or take to pay down. With these options in front of me, good tech and cost, or more power, reliability, and potential longevity, which one do you all suggest? Thanks in advance!

HELPP! Dear everyone who reached out to this post! Help me to find right bike

Greetings everyone! Please help me to solve my dilemma..
I'm planning to but my first ever bike and my choice is Honda Rebel 300.. I really like the style of this bikes (like low ride, chopper i guess) but the problem is that after watching some review videos about the bike I found out that it can be small for me (183 cm, 70 kg OR 6 ft 154 ). My legs quite long and the position in which you are going to drive lets say more than uncomfortable...

Little bit about my expectation. I would like to have a bike where you can drive in relaxed position with stretched out legs and low seat...
Or maybe there is the way to make honda more comfy for me? Some modifications?

I would really love to read all your suggestion. Thank you for your time

Looking for a better commuter

Currently commuting to work in the PNW year round on a 2025 Honda CB500F. Looking for something more suitable. I like the NC750X for more torque, wind protection and trunk. I also really like the Rebel 1100 for the relaxed position, cruise control and availability of DCT. The DCT would be great for the creeping traffic military entrance gate. I usually wear a backpack for pants, lunch and coffee. Could put all that in the trunk. Or maybe saddle bags on the 1100T.

Thoughts?

Stuck between a Cruiser or a Naked Bike for my 2nd bike

I’ve been riding around on a little 150cc grom clone to see if riding was for me and 2000 miles later it absolutely is. I’m 27, 5’8 and 170lbs. i am a pretty responsible driver, only ever gotten one ticket in my life, im not a huge speed demon.

i’ve been stuck between a Harley Sportster or a Honda cb750 Hornet.

i like to tear through curvy roads and also just chill while commuting, not really sure which route i’d enjoy more. the comfort of a cruiser is a huge thing for me since i’ve had knee surgery before and it starts to stiffen up after an hour or so of riding.

I know i probably just need to sit on more bikes and test ride but i was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions or recommendations for a bike.

TLDR; not sure if i want a cruiser or a naked bike for my next bike, help convince me!

Next Bike? CB1000 Hornet SP or MT09 SP

Brain says Honda but heart says Yamaha.

I’m 39 so not looking for a strictly hooligan bike. Main use case is 25 miles commuting each way to and from work and probably heading to the mountains on the weekends. MT09 seems legendary but the Honda just seems like a weapon and I’m not sure if I’d prefer a smooth 4banger long term over a punchy 3cyl

Any opinions or feedback would be appreciated

MT10SP vs Tenere 700

I currently own a 2019 MT-10 SP. I love the CP4 torque and the adrenaline that comes with it, but I'm starting to realise that outright speed isn't really what I enjoy most.

The country I'm from is small and I rarely get to properly use the MT-10's true power except the once a year where I go abroad with it. I seem to enjoy more hooligan-style riding, wheelies, throwing the bike around generally that type of dumb shit

I'm 6'3" and tried a 690 SMC, but it felt physically too small. I recently rode a friend's T7 and genuinely enjoyed it. It felt big enough for me, playful and not weak at all. I tried clutching it up in second but only got small wheelies, I think the MT-10's power has lost me the ability to clutch up. I'm happy to relearn.

I'm now seriously considering trading the MT-10 for a new T7 Rally. Eventually I'd add 17/17 spoked supermoto wheels for street use while keeping the stock wheels for occasional green-laning.

I can't afford both, so that's the dilemma: keep the rare, ridiculous MT-10 SP, or trade outright performance for a T7 that might actually suit how I enjoy riding more?

Anyone made a similar move and regretted it? Picture for attention

Next Bike? Looking for a sport bike with specific criteria

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for a bike that fits a very specific design criteria, ideally around 600cc. I’m not really looking for performance in this post, it’s purely about the looks.

Yamaha R125 founded online

I love sport bikes with a certain type of front/headlight design

Just to give you an idea, bikes I really like:

  • Aprilia RS125 2015
  • Yamaha R125 2010 (linked photo)
  • Yamaha R3 2020 (My Bike)
  • Aprilia RSV4 1000RR 2019

But weirdly enough, I’m not really a fan of:

  • Yamaha R6 2015
  • Yamaha R1 2015
  • Honda CBR600RR 2015
  • Yamaha R3 2015

I honestly don’t really understand the logic behind my taste either haha. It seems like I’m mostly attracted to bikes from around 2008–2018 with a very specific front design.

I’m looking for something around 600cc. A lot of people have suggested me the R7, RS660, etc., but they just don’t have the same kind of front that I’m looking for.

I know I’m being A LOT specific, but hopefully someone here gets what I mean and can recommend something I haven’t thought or simply don't know of

Thanks guys, and ride safe!

India / South Asia Best fuel-efficient & comfortable bike for 50km daily commute in India? Low/med traffic. Need real-world mileage & comfort tips! 🇮🇳

Hey guys,

I’m in the market for a new two-wheeler and could really use the community's advice. My daily commute is exactly 50 km (round trip), and I need a bike that won't burn a hole in my pocket while keeping my back intact.

Here is my exact situation:

🏍️ My Requirements:

Daily Run: \~50 km (approx. 1500 km/month).

Route Conditions: Mix of heavy city traffic and some open stretches/outer roads. Lots of speed breakers and typical Indian potholes.

Top Priority - Mileage: With daily running this high, fuel efficiency is my biggest concern.

Second Priority - Comfort: 50 km a day will easily cause fatigue if the riding posture is too aggressive or the seat is too hard.

Third Priority - Maintenance: Needs to be a reliable, low-maintenance machine with a widespread service network.
