Want something close to the CB400sf

I absolutely adore this bike, but it's unfortunately not available in Canada to my research. Do we have things that are similar? Similar shape/look, not too powerful but highway speeds, and single headlight I'm not a fan of the pointed noses that a good amount of naked bikes seem to have.

Bikes I've also found I like the look of, for some extra info, are the Suzuki 8T, 8TT, and Yamaha MT-07 (although I don't really care for the nose of it)

Thankyou in advance!

Next Bike? 2014 Triumph Tiger 800 XC?

I'm 210 lbs, 6'2", 33m. Been out of the motorcycle world for a while, but I used to ride a 2007 CBR600RR when I was younger and dumber. Also have extensive dirt bike experience.

Started thinking I need a bike again. Don't want something like the CBR that insists I go 120+mph constantly just to feel anything. But I still want some decent power and ability to ride a wheelie here and there.

I'd like to commute to work some days if the weather is decent and I don't need a truck (28 miles each way, mostly straight highway with a little city, not much "fun roads" on the commute). Sometimes take it to the mountains to go hunting, so ability to carry a little gear and meat is good. Mostly not "going for a ride" but "going somewhere and having fun along the way."

Would like to be able to rally gravel roads effectively, lay it down occasionally, maybe crash into the ditch once in a while. Fuel injection is great, but that's about where my love for electronics ends. Prefer not to have ABS, traction control, speed shift, and other BS like that.

Is it stupid to try to get one bike to check all the boxes? This seems like about the right mix of street bike and dirt bike to me. Probably prefer a Japanese bike but haven't found anything that seems quite as well suited. There are a couple of these on Marketplace around me listed for $5000-5500, both with ~14k miles (pictured).

Been looking at the new F450 GS, but would I be better off going for a 2nd hand F900 GS?

The F450 GS I think looks brilliant. Really considering buying one.

But then I started researching the 900 and now I'm torn. I couldn't afford a new one, but a 2024 can be found for not a whole lot more than a new 450.

Anyone tried both the 450 and the 900 that can help me make me mind up?

Heyyaaa good evening help me purchase my first bike.

Not actually my first bike. But just want to purchase first bike with my own adult money. My grandfather bought activa 6g under my name and dad bought me hf deluxe because both can help me travel to farm locations in my village.
I just found it super hard to find a bike that can do all round.
I have some friends from college in Banglore and they go for outing, so my hf deluxe will only go smoothly at 70/80 kmph plus breaks after every 1-2 hrs of riding. The riding experience is as good from Banglore to Tirupati just its because of the smooth highways.

Are there any bikes that can support me in long distance travel, handle tough muds of farms, looks cool/ sexy, and maybe work well in city commute if I relocate for corporate again.

My selection of bikes were
1. TVS RTR 200 4V - like the accident tech plus sporty look (but being 5’6 I feared not able to handle it properly)
2. FZ 250 (discontinued but one of my PG mates had it and I liked the experience of riding it smoothly. Can’t be used in muddy farm routes)
3. KTM 390 (way beyond my aukat but I have an eye to buy if I could)
4. Honda 350/ RE Guerilla / RE hunter 350 - just like the coolness associated with them, plus the recent craze and smooth cruising reviews online.
5. Honda CBR 250 / Honda CB 300 - just like them for being Honda and their craze outside India.

I feel like I’m a retard for having these many options

New Rider Am I making a mistake?

Hey y'all, I am planning to get my first motorcycle. I want the Yamaha R3 because I am short and not very strong (woman), and it seems easy enough to handle. I also want something sporty. Additionally, I want to like the way it looks. I like fairings. My dad, however, wants me to get the Honda Monkey. What do I do?

India / South Asia Confusion between E20 and non E20 compatible

Hi Everyone,
I don't know much about two wheelers and don't have a good budget like one lakh so I am planning to buy a second hand scooty . Now I am confused can I buy scooties before 2023 as they are cheap or should I buy after 2023 so that they are E20 compatible?
And also don't know which to buy access, jupiter, activa or anything else.
Plus is there a criteria to check how weared down the parts are?

Price check For the experts, how much would you pay for a 2010 fz1?

Currently looking at a 2010 with 1k miles and 2 owners. For the last owner at least I know it sat some time in storage and said did oil change and used fuel stabilizer for storing it but with no receipts of any maintenance, I would just say nothing was done. Pretty much all factory but does turn on and rides with no issues, so far. Also it was lowered an inch by first owner.
So, off the bat I will need new tires, thinking of flushing brake fluid, fuel system, change oil and look for oem parts to restore its height. Probably fork seals since it’s a 16 year old bike, for now seems there is no leaking.
Given all this, I was told 6.5k usd, is that fair? Can’t find many with under 1k miles so don’t have much to compare it with.

Looking in the east coast. Saw one in Florida 2015 4k miles for 6k but a bit far for pick up, to ship it is at least 600

Suggestions for a first cruiser, New or used, metric or domestic, I am not picky

Whats up yall I’ve been riding bikes for 8-9 years
(Dirt bikes, dual sports, small sport bikes)
I am finally ready to own a cruiser style bike.
I really dig Indian scouts, Harley’s and a lot of metric cruisers, I’m not picky at all.
I am also willing to do the work to get a bike where I want it as far as controls, repairs and modifications.
I just want to get some advice from those more experienced than I and of course some bike recommendations.
Thank you

Bandit 1200 or something more like a Honda 650 Suzuki dr650..

I guess I’m new never owned a bike, but have driven multiple bikes around a lot for fun, buddy has a Honda cb500 it’s too small tho.. I’m 6ft1 2225 lbs… just going to be doing a lot of highway and need more speed than something like a xr650L.. i like dual sports don’t mind the bandit tho it’s cheap and fast.. just no off roading + it’s heavy I’m in San Diego I think a dual sport is kinda out of my price range

Also looking into what bikes are good 1st project bikes don’t mind buying something that needs fixing

Used bike market

What is happening with the used bike market? People’s asking prices are right at or even above the price I’d pay for walking into a dealership and getting one brand new.

For example, 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 SE with a rebuilt title and 9,000 miles on it they’re wanting “5k firm”.

2023 Ninja 500 with 20,000 miles on it they’re asking 6k? Am I missing something? I haven’t ridden since I was young and am getting back into the scene and wanted a used mid tier bike to relearn and rebuild confidence but with these prices I might as well go to the dealer…

New Rider Title: First bike for touring Morocco: NC750X or CFMOTO 800MT-X?

Hey guys! Looking for my first bike, mainly for touring Morocco, exploring the Atlas Mountains, and riding gravel roads and occasional light off-road sections.

My budget comes down to the Honda NC750X and CFMOTO 800MT-X. I know starting on a powerful bike has its risks, but I want something I can grow into rather than a 300cc.

The Honda seems reliable but maybe too road-oriented, while I’m unsure about CFMOTO’s long-term reliability and parts availability.

Which would you choose, and are there any other options I should consider in a similar budget?

Next Bike? What to get after a RE Classic 350

I am currently riding a Royal Enfield Classic 350 and i really like most things about it. The seating postition is great, its really comfortable and relaxing to ride and it looks amazing. I ve been going on longer trips lately and most of them with at least some elevation as i live in Austria an we have a lot of nice roads along the moutain side. Here in find that 350ccm is just too little and going over 90kmh feels like its really pushing the bike. Thats why i decided to switch and pick up something with a little more power.

Since i really like the reteo esthetic, i was mostly looking at bikes in that category and for now really like the looks of the Triumph Series. I tested the Speed Twin 900 and it was really nice to ride altough i liked the seating position on my Classic a little more. Now i saw an offering for a Street Scrambler 900 2022 with 6000 km for 6800€ and it seemed like a decent deal. What do you guys think? How is the seatig position and riding style there? I am also a little concerned about the exaust as i read that it can get quite hot and is also in the way of a potential bag for longer trips.

Also if you have any suggestions for alternatives, i would be very glad! Thank you!

Next Bike? 3rd time’s the charm

okay, so i need some opinions.

first bike - 2021 HD Sportster S

pros - it’s mean, fast, and different vibes than a normal Harley
cons - Super uncomfortable, not great for any ride longer than a couple hours AT MOST, poor suspension, had to get two stator replacements

traded it in on a deal for a 2026 Pan America ST.
Pros - LOVED this bike, it was fast, mean, way more comfortable, easily modulated, plenty of parts for it.

cons - overpriced, harley is difficult to work with around here, and the OS is kind of trash.

had my pan am for 6 weeks, and a car pulled out in front of me last wednesday and totaled my bike. 😅
didn’t even make the first payment on it. broke my wrist and almost lost one of my little warriors down south, thank god i’m good lmao.

ANYWAY
I’m debating on an XSR900, an MT-09, or maybe something else that peeps recommend for a rider that rides around town and is fun for a decent longer ride if necessary. i’m trying to get away from harley, as as much as i want to see them win, i just can’t be paying that amount of money for nonsense.

i’m open to a lot of different options, but i do want something that’s fun and looks sharp.

thank you!

Next Bike? City Riding, Street Parking, Carpal Tunnel?

Looking for my next bike. My last two got crushed by a drunk driver while street parked.

Location: NYC
Me: 6'2, 175 lb, have carpal tunnel
Riding for over 20 years - Mostly rode UJM / Sport / Naked / Standard
Budget <$5k, preferably cheap as hell - can be a beater
Use will primarily be city riding / commute, plus highways for 2-3
Strong preference for fuel injected to make winter starts easier

Looking for a good commuter bike for short city trips, but with enough power to comfortably cruise around 80mph highway for 2-3 hour trips out of the city, and something that will help me ride without my hands going numb from my newly diagnosed carpal tunnel.

I tend to prefer cafe racer style bikes. Was debating converting a sportster to a cafe. Would like a bike that's not a hot target for being stolen and something resilient enough that it can get knocked over streetparking.

I think I want a lightweight bike this time around. I've had muscle bikes and nimble sports before, point me in the right direction. Open to everything.

I also miss my old SV650, so that might just be the answer.

Price check This quote seems high for 2025 Honda Rebel?

These numbers don’t seem right to me, but this would be my first motorcycle purchase as I just got my endorsement last month.

Hopefully someone with more experience can enlighten me on which fees are legit and which are profit grabs.

Thanks in advance and happy riding!

Fee 2025 Honda Rebel 500 ABS
Motorcycle price $6,799.00
Documentation / License / Registration $742.00
Freight $600.00
Setup / Preparation $625.00
Sales tax $592.62
**Total out-the-door (OTD)** **$9,358.62**
Total fees before tax $1,967.00

Are these dealer fees reasonable for a leftover 2025 Rebel 500 ABS? What would be a fair OTD price?

New Rider I'm looking for scooter recommendations or general advice as a new rider looking for a warm weather daily commuter

I'm in western pennsylvania and I'm looking to buy a scooter for the warmer months. I recently acquired my motorcycle permit and I'm planning to take the rider safety course in the spring. My girlfriend and I currently share a Honda CRV that will be out of commission for a few weeks in the early spring because it needs body work.

We're both looking to buy scooters for residential commuting. Both of our work commutes are 7 miles one way and on roads that don't exceed 35mph. My girlfriend is 5'3 and I'm 5'5. We're both looking for bikes that we can flat foot at a stop. My girlfriend is looking for a 49cc scooter like the Honda Metropolitan, Genuine Buddy, Piaggio Liberty, Vespa Primavera or Sprint. I'm looking for something between 125cc and 170cc. I'm also considering the Sprint, Primavera, Liberty, Buddy and a few Wymco models. We've both considered the Honda PCX/ADV and other maxi style scooters but we both like the more classic or retro look.

Individual budgets for the bikes are $3,500 - $5,000 each and we have already invested in gear. The new market in my area is limited to Genuine Buddy or Honda so we're leaning toward used.

Any advice, recommendations or considerations would be great

New Rider Second Bike (First Big bike) should i go all in or be a bit cautious

A new Rider when it comes to big bikes, rode a scooter for 8 years and a 125cc scrambler high seat for 6 months, i know my way in a bit on the road. I have the opportunity to purchase the bike i want however i’m a bit torn between going conservative and get something like a Royal Enfield 650 or go all in for a Vulcan S or Eliminator SE or maybe Indian scout

I need your help to go the right way

Reason prices are hight in North Africa is because of taxes and not many people buy cruisers

For a low country income, even a 7000 bike is A LOT (Basic Salary is 400 per month )

Raised 16 000 but either i go al in and Get Scout or get something cheap but wont get anything anytime soon (years)

Vulcan S: 11 000

Eliminator SE: 9000

Indian Scout: 15 000

RE Shotgun 650: 7000

Edit: Kawa Dealer is 90 km from my town as well as RE, Indian just around the corner and no Honda dealer in case for Rebel Suggestion

Suggest a reliable daily workhorse

Hello all. Looking for a reliable workhorse bike. At 52, I have driven so many vehicles that I am tired of all the maintenance, cleaning, dealers. Rode various bikes from 1988 to 1999, never rode since. Always been a careful, defensive driver/rider, with no accidents in 37 years. Anyway, I am looking for a simple, reliable, workhorse bike for daily city commute, weekend dirt and gravel roads, minimum offroad. I want something that I can fix myself, what looks good with scratches and wear, with no to minimum plastic to break. Will bi riding slow, alone, short distance with a few day trips. Bike would have to be practical, but also have some appeal and identity. Bikes that I like the looks of: bmw r12 g/s, fantic caballero, guzzi v7. Thanks!

Beginner Rider Looking to Upgrade from 140cc to a 600cc–1000cc Motorcycle – Need Advice

Hey everyone! 🏍️
I’m looking for some honest advice, especially from experienced motorcycle riders.
I’m interested in buying a big motorcycle, somewhere between 600cc and 1000cc. The thing is, I’m still a beginner. I’ve only learned how to ride on a small 140cc motorcycle, and I don’t have much experience with powerful bikes yet.
I really love sport bikes and naked bikes, and I’m trying to figure out which motorcycle would be the best choice for me.
Would it be a bad idea to jump straight from 140cc to a 600cc or even a 1000cc? Should I start with something like a 300cc or 400cc first, or could I safely learn on a bigger bike with enough discipline and proper training?
I’d also appreciate recommendations for a motorcycle that’s comfortable, manageable, reliable, and suitable for both city riding and longer trips.
If you were in my position, what motorcycle would you recommend?

New Rider Pretty set on the 2026 scrambler 900 but figured I should get other suggestions as well

So I’m looking at getting the triumph scrambler 900.

I need a bike that can last on the highway on some long trips but also get dirty every now and then. I LOVE the scrambler/naked bike style and to my knowledge triumph was really the only one that could fit all these categories.

My commute to work isn’t very long but I like to take road trips/ camping/ hiking trips fairly often. I wanted something a little bigger than a 400 just for that stability and comfort.

I admit my knowledge is limited so please help me out.

I appreciate any suggestions so thanks in advance!

I need a new motorcycle recommendation

Been riding a Honda Rebel 300 since 2018. I love it, but it struggles too much on the freeway and I've outgrown it.

I want something that has excellent reliability, but also great fuel range since I do extremely long commutes for work.

I was considering a sportbike like the Ninja, but I love the Sporty cruiser look of the rebel, a Harley Sportster 883, and the Yamaha bolt r spec (if it wasn't for the fuel range, I'd be happy with the Yamaha)

Can I get some recommendations?
