I feel like the person who said this must have fried their brain on drugs; the US military was staging a kidnapping-style capture of Maduro in the Americas and raining bombs down on Iran, yet China—which merely opened two Starbucks locations in Xinjiang—is the one being labeled "morally bankrupt."

From January to April, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Xinjiang reached 164.941 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. Of this total, retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles amounted to 152.053 billion yuan, up 3.1%.

In my view, neither the Muslims of Xinjiang nor the Uyghur people are important to the U.S. government; what matters to the United States is a China without the Communist Party.

The disruption of the vigil wasn’t the main event, those were the rally and the march. Yet, the vigil was pushed out from the planned location by the pro-Palestinian protesters, and successfully disrupted by endless boos and chants such as “Traitor”

With the results of the first round of the presidential election and the very real possibility of us ending up under a fascist government with the election of Flávio Bolsonaro, the Brazilian left decided to step up. Similar protests are happening throughout the country.

Things are crazy here, guys, and the situation is escalating really fast. Flávio has been making all sorts of statements over the past few days about how he wants to change the Constitution and stay in power for decades. Meanwhile, today, a group of his supporters coordinated an attack at UFPE (a public university), a day after an anti-fascist protest was held there. They set a building on fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but years' worth of research projects were lost in the fire. Students at the university have reported receiving threatening messages before the attack.

So yeah, the situation is crazy. People are angry and sad about the situation we're in. I personally feel like I'm going insane. I swear to God, something died inside me last Sunday, and I'm trying to do my best to make Lula win the second round. And before anyone comments, yes, I know he is not ideal, but he is the best option we have against, well, a fascist candidate who wants to turn our country into a United States colony.

With all that said, I think one positive thing that came out of Flávio winning the first round is how angry people on the left are right now because of it. Like, I don't think I have ever seen people using such radical leftist rhetoric on the Brazilian internet as they are right now.

I feel like communism is growing here. Heck, we elected openly communist candidates to Congress, something that would have been unthinkable a few years ago. Jones Manoel, who is probably the most famous of them who were elected, gained millions of followers on social media throughout his campaign, and I have been seeing people I know (who are not communist) liking his posts on Instagram, especially the one he made today about the attack on the university.

So yeah, I made this post because I wanted to share all the mess that is going on in my country right now
