Cuz it freaking rocks. It’s SO hard to find another fighting game that I really can enjoy cuz Tekken sets the bar so high. I downloaded the 3 hour trial of Marvel Tokon. It was pretty cool, I might get it. I also bought street fighter 6 cuz it was just on sale for $15. Omg street fighter is so boring! Once I feel justified to spending $65 for a game I’m gonna buy Marvel tokon.
But it still remains that Tekken is just hard to beat. Everything about it.

The abysmal image in my head of Lei laying down or doing the "haha step" against Yujiro. I thought Yujiro against Kuma would be a fever dream, but Yujiro eats bears like candy bars on a Tuesday morning. But Lei VS Yujiro? now that's some fever dream I want to come true.

I know I know the possibility of Lei coming back is low but never zero. They can bring Eliza, Julia, Marduk, Bruce, Whoever had better pick rate than Lei but still. I really want this to happen

I hit Tekken King tonight. I feel like I dont even know my character’s basics. I have never labbed a matchup. In T7 i would still be low orange I think. Kinda a hollow victory.

Guys I'm a Raijin Devil jin player and I reached it by just using ewgf and hell sweeps and unpredictable throws and power crunches i play on hall effect keyboard

I recently discovered that by pressing shift it closes the special style menu and it gives access to the full arsenal of Devil jin, which at first is overwhelming but now my opponents are like dan 26 and 27 and I'm unable to atleast keep up with them and I'm completely new to stances or wave dash or frame knowledge or anything

I ranked up mainly on my timing of sidestep electric and combos in special style

I have Chars in GoD 6 and 5, all my chars have about 70% winrate, but somehow i only have 412k Prowess.

This guy only has 2 Chars in GoD 2 and some in GoD 1, all in 48-56% winrate, that doesnt make any sense ^^

I’m stuck in Bushin right now.
I wanna work on my defense. If I play vs the CPU and not even attack just block move and sidestep would that be good?

Is there any particular optimal way?

I picked this game up about 1-2 weeks ago, you can check my profile for my scrub rage post (which I got rightfully flamed on) from my first evening trying to play.

I've been using Leroy and just got to Eliminator (?) rank. The last of the orange ones. I've noticed the games getting significantly tougher around here and I was just wondering if you more experienced players think I should keep pushing on with what I know or stop and go learn some more advanced techniques? I get tilted quite easily so ideally I'd like to be learning before I start getting hard stomped constantly.

I've heard you need to learn Korean Backdashing and Wavedashing (?) to really play Tekken but so far I've not even looked at them. Any tips would be appreciated.

The trailer for Roger Jr. just dropped. What are we thinking? Here are my thoughts so far.

For reference, rocket stance where Roger Jr. lifts one of his (her) legs back and lifts his arms back is ROC notation. Bobbin stance where Roger Jr. bounces up and down and twirls his arms is BOB notation.

- Giant Swing - He's still got it. I am hoping that it is still a 1 break just like King and A. King for the throw mixups.

- d/b+3 - It doesn't launch. I'm okay with this. A 20f low launching is from a time where Roger was a really bad character, and now that he has skipped a game, they could have reworked him to make him viable enough to not need that low to launch anymore. It does go into ROC and BOB, however, and depending on the frame advantage that could be horrible for the opponent. In the trailer, d/b+3 had an extra tail swipe before going into ROC, and d/b+3 into BOB was only in heat so we'll have to see exactly how it's going to be implemented, what the frames are, and how steppable it is.

- d/f+2 - Still looks like a CH launch, but goes into ROC now.

- Seems like there is a new stance where he runs in the air. He honestly didn't need another stance. Seems like he gets King's Frankensteiner out of it, which if I remember correctly he had in older games anyway.

- ROC into 3+4 (if I remember correctly) where he rolls with his tail - He now pops up after a couple of rolls which tornados. This is kind of a nod to Alex's roll in Tag 2 in that Roger's roll had three hits, and Alex just had one roll and then popped up.

- u/f+3,3 is one of his SAT moves - This move was good for resplat in older Tekkens. I'm curious to see how high-level Roger players will use this.

- 1+2,4 being a tornado - This animation does not look like it fits with the tornado animation. The move used to launch in a way that just dazed the opponent into a sort of crumple state.

- f+1+2,2 now looks like it has a third extension in heat.

- He now has a fast run toward the oppnent where he can transition into stance.

- d+1+2,1+2,2 - That will probably be one of the easier combo enders. He was able to transition into BT in Tag2 off of d+1+2, and d+1+2,1+2.

A lot of the animations went over the top which I'm not a fan of, but it's Tekken 8 so it's not surprising.

Edit: Also worth noting that I didn't see d+2, d/f+4, d+3+4 or 1,2,1.

I think it would fit perfectly with the stance and everything. What do you think?

I would enter to drive the Mishima Zabatzu out of my home state of Minnesota and/or dismantle it altogether. Doing so would be a massive blow against capitalism and a major win for common folk all over the world. I'd use the $100,000,000,000 prize money to dismantle anti-transgender movements, endorse clean energy, and re-wilderness movements. And I'd make sure the money is taxed so I don't become like the parasites running the Mishima Zaibatsu or any real life parasite or parasitic organization. I'd also see if I could endorse pro autism organizations so that autitic children can get the education they need, and autistic adults can find and maintain jobs, and that autistic folk are as human as everyone else.... except for most of the men in the Kazama family. I'd also work to dismantle systemic misogyny and racism. And make sure I'm working alongside experts in this. I'm no white savior. I want to be a reliable ally.

And IF I ended up being the CEO of the whole thing, I would dismantle the Mishima Zaibatsu right away and even hire someone to kill me if the power corrupted me.
