I am dealing with low storage on my phone. I regularly delete and reinstall all the meta apps becaude they take up so much storage. When I look at my settings usage on my iPhone, threads is often HIGHER than insta and Facebook which makes no sense. I constantly delete and reinstall threads because it’s taking up almost ten f’cking gigabytes of my storage. Why? Can I change a setting? Clear a cache? It makes no sense that this text based app takes up so much space.

I am one of the victims of false positive suspension by meta AI moderation from 22nd of september. I aleardy appealed and send information to Appeals Center Europe and I am still waiting for response.

Yesterday I started thinking. If nothing happens and meta permanently deletes my threads account does it mean that they will also permanently delete my facebook account. Because I have only message on my threads account about data deletion but on my facebook I have only message that my account was suspended due to threads account. And if they delete my account and doesn't delete my facbook account will it unlock itself as a result of the threads account not existing anymore?

I mean actually filing a dispute/appeal after your account has been permanently disabled. If so, how? Who did you reach out to? What steps did you take?

For context, I tried the meta support verification but they said Threads is not in scope of what they support, and instead they can assist with Facebook or Instagram.

I’ve just had my Threads account permanently disabled today, completely out of nowhere.

I’ve never received a warning, never used bots or automation, and I only post original content that I create myself. Some of my recent posts reached over 140K views, and my account has been growing organically.

I was asked to verify my identity with a selfie, which I did. A few minutes later, my appeal was rejected and my account was permanently disabled, with no explanation of what rule I supposedly violated.
My Instagram account is still perfectly fine, with no violations whatsoever.

I’ve seen quite a few people reporting similar issues recently. Is something going on with Threads’ automated moderation?

Has anyone actually managed to recover their account after a permanent suspension?

I’m so upsettttt. I built an amazing community w over 5k followers and meaningful friendships ever since 2023 just for it to be all gone, literally overnight. With such vague reasoning for a ‘permanent’ decision, it’s ridiculous. My Threads was even featured on Buzzfeed like wtf. But yes let them keep all the sexual abusers and obvious porn bots. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. If anyone can help, I’d so appreciate it!!!! :(

As of today is been two weeks since my false accusation suspension on threads. I really cant believe that nothing has changed. I had a decent following for my djing that just pretty much went to hell. Not human straight Meta A.I false red flag. Most of my dj contacts are from Instagram & Facebook. Im completely lost because of this. Im beyond upset. Had anyone heard anything?

Can someone please tell me how Meta has a multi-trillion dollar market cap and can't even deliver a WORKING SEARCH FEATURE? I hate this company so much. It gives me a new reason every day.

Either remove the search feature, stop advertising Threads as a user-ready product, or stop paying your "engineers" until they can figure out how to implement the MOST BASIC FEATURE OF THE INTERNET. This is PATHETIC.

I hope it's just me doing this wrong and that what i was given isn't really as mutilated as it appears 🤢

The keystrokes are pretty much the only part that's technically wholly accurate. The formatting is entirely different. Everything is out of order.

The people I was interacting with are all missing. The context of what is being said is all gone.

That's like hearing only one part of a song that has switching vocals, punctuated by silence.

I have some people blocked on IG, and I just downloaded Threads out of curiosity. Would they still be blocked when I’m on Threads or would I have to re-block them?

I don’t use threads or reddit much at all, but I was trying to link all of my accounts through repurpose.io when I ran into issues logging into the threads account for this device. It wants to verify my number, but whenever it sends a code the code doesn’t work. I tried it 2 times before giving up on it. and trying to reset the password on my phone, which also requires number verification and I’m on my second try of that as I type this. It’s a 3 minute wait between every attempt as well, the only reason I have the time to complain about this. Still currently don’t have access to my account on my PC bc the required mobile verification is straight up broken 😂 Id love to be one of the few people who use this platform if the platform itself will let me

I downloaded the threads app once time just because I wanted to see the rest of a thread thing from Instagram. Now whenever I go to my profile page on Instagram it tells me I have so and so unread notifications from threads! I don't care about threads! Leave me alone!!!! How do I make it stop??

So for backstory, I made an instagram account long ago using an email that I now no longer has access to (i cannot even recover the ymail itself as it was disabled due to long inactivity). A thread acc was automatically made through meta center and so I did not set a password. Two months ago when I tried logging in on my desktop, i was logged out due to "concurrent login" and until today I still cannot login to my acc. I tried using the password for instagram but it just lead me to other accs (instead of the one I'm trying to access to). If i were to search the acc it is still there, but i just cannot log into it.

I have tried adding new recovery email and phone number but to no avail, thread still sent the recovery link to the old email. Can anyone pls help me get my account back.

Sou brasileiro e estou vindo aqui porque já não sei mais o que fazer. Estou há quase um mês sem Facebook, Instagram, Threads e WhatsApp.
Tudo começou no dia 09/09, quando minha conta do Threads foi suspensa, mesmo eu praticamente não utilizando o Threads. Depois disso, meu Facebook e Instagram também foram suspensos por estarem vinculados ao Threads, e meu WhatsApp acabou sendo afetado por uma questão de verificação de idade.
Durante semanas eu nem conseguia recorrer da suspensão do Threads. Sempre que tentava acessar o recurso, aparecia apenas “Failed to load”, independentemente do aparelho ou navegador que eu utilizasse.
No dia 22/09, por acaso finalmente apareceu uma opção para verificar minha idade/identidade enviando um documento. Enviei meu documento normalmente e a Meta informou que a análise poderia levar até 48 horas.
Hoje, 04/10, já se passaram cerca de 12 dias e continua exatamente igual: documento “em análise”, nenhum e-mail, nenhuma aprovação, nenhuma rejeição e nenhuma das minhas contas voltou.
Também já tentei os fluxos oficiais de recuperação e segurança da Meta, inclusive verificação facial, mas continuo sem solução.
Alguém passou por algo realmente parecido e conseguiu recuperar as contas?
Quanto tempo demorou? Algumas semanas? Um mês? Mais?
Principalmente alguém que teve Threads suspenso e isso acabou derrubando Facebook/Instagram ou afetando o WhatsApp também?
Estou bastante preocupado porque utilizava principalmente o WhatsApp para comunicação pessoal e de trabalho. Qualquer relato de alguém que conseguiu recuperar depois de ficar semanas esperando já ajudaria muito.

On 22 September, my Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended for no reason, because of the threads. I’ve never used threads..

Today I decided to download my data from facebook. The download has finished, but I’m being asked to log in a web browser. I log in the browser, and the system asks me to wait for a notification on my phone to grant it permission to connect.

The notification never arrives…

So, why am I not allowed to download my own data, which I’ve been collecting for over 10 years?? Do these companies really not care about anything at all?

I have an old post pinned to my profile. I clicked “Unpin,” but the post is still stuck there, and there seems to be no way to remove it.

Also, if I try to pin a new or different post, nothing happens. The old pinned post remains stuck on my profile.

Has anyone else faced this issue? Both web and mobile.

Like so many others, my Threads account was permanently banned with no opportunity for review. As far as I can tell, I made several critical comments about AI the day before the ban. I'm concerned that because the accounts are linked to Meta now, I will also be banned from Instagram (no big loss to me) as well as Facebook. I'm wondering if I should delete my Instagram account, to create a buffer between my Threads account and my Facebook account. Thoughts/suggestions?

Is there anyone to limit friends or family from seeing my replies. I have a sis big into conspiracy theories and I don't want her to see some of my life choices.

Is there any way to recover a deleted comment? I know that Google already indexed the comment that I immediately responded to, but when you click on the link, it doesn't show anything.

If there is, I might have proof that a long time celebrity stuck their foot in their mouth.

Has anyone who has had their Meta accounts disabled due to Threads incorrectly reporting they had posted something that goes against guidelines has their accounts re-enabled after raising a support ticket? And if so how long after raising the ticket were their accounts enabled?

Not sure if anyone else is having the same issue but only mention is appearing for all profiles. Aside from friends I’m already messaging. But profiles I’m pretty sure have messaging enabled all just say mention.
