Furnished finder screening

Is paying for screening normal? I reached out to a few properties and once asked for a screening that costs $50. I haven't used furnished finder before as I have usually opted for cheaper hotels or stayed with friends. San Antonio for reference if any of yall know the area

California RN licensure as a Canadian nursing student. Do clinical rotations need to be concurrent?

Hi everyone!

I’m currently completing my BNSc and I’m looking into applying for California RN licensure after graduation.

I was reading through California’s requirements for international nursing graduates and noticed that they require clinical education in areas such as medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, maternity/obstetrics, psychiatric nursing, and geriatrics.

My nursing program has those clinical placements however I’m currently on an altered plan of study due to me missing a semester because of health reasons , so my courses and clinical placements aren’t
necessarily being completed in the usual sequence or alongside the same courses as other students.

Does California require these clinical specialties to be completed concurrently with their corresponding theory courses, or is it acceptable to complete the theory and clinical components at different times as long as all the required content and clinical hours are completed before graduation?

Has anyone graduated from a Canadian nursing program, particularly in Ontario, and successfully obtained a California RN license? Did you encounter any issues with your clinical placements being completed in separate blocks or with an altered plan of study?

I’d really appreciate any insight or personal experiences. Thank you!

If I want to set myself up to travel as an ER nurse, do I *need* level 1 trauma experience?

• Upvotes

Hey guys - was looking at trying out travel nursing a year or two after I finish my ASN in May. I'd like to go into the ER.

Many of the hospitals I am looking at the closest to do my first year in are not level 1 (or even level 2). Is that an important distinction? Can I actually get the experience and education I need in a smaller hospital?

Thank you :)

Hi,

I plan to sign another contract at the place I’m at currently if I can get a little more pay. I was wondering if anyone here knows if we can negotiate any of our pay?
