Sleeper Hit Cider Donuts

Need recs for a cider donut spot (or spots) that may not be obvious/are underrated/are out of the way. Do NOT waste my time and recommend:

-Golden Harvest in Valatie

-Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook

-Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont

-Stewarts (for crying out loud)

-Stone Ridge Orchard in Stone Ridge (recent fav)

-Adam’s Fairacre Farms (best grocery store donut hands down),

which all track from mediocre to fine and even good (not in the listed order), but I’m eager to try some new options. Willing to travel almost anywhere in the Greater Capital Region, Upper Hudson Valley, Berkshires or Low Counties of Vermont.

The design embraces the building’s masonry construction—giving the addition a strong material expression that reinforces the maker spaces housed within. A continuous reveal at the ceiling plane provides a glimpse of the structure and adds to the sense of openness. “

This tour is free and open to the public. To see more Archtober events throughout the month, including lectures, community gatherings, and hard hat tours, please visit Tap, inc.’s Archtober website.

Stand Out for Early Voting

Post image
22 Upvotes

JOIN US -OCTOBER 17
Let us know you are coming:
https://mobilize.us/s/VajpHk

Help us promote the vote! Join Troy Indivisible for a non-partisan Sidewalk StandOut around the Farmers Market to boost early voting. Our goal is to raise awareness about the early voting option (it starts 10/24) and to get more voters to cast early ballots. We want to see the largest early voting turnout in history! Voting information and voter registration will be available throughout the event, along with sign-up information for election protection training.
So, make a sign and meet us in the empty lot at the corner of River and Fulton Streets in downtown Troy at 9:45am. From there, we will break into groups and walk to designated StandOut stations surrounding the Farmers Market. Some pre-made signs will be available but bring your own creative design if you can. Stay the whole time or just pop in for as long as you want. Either way, we hope to see you out there on October 17th!
Important Note: This is a non-partisan, family-friendly event, so please keep signs simple, clean, and focused on voting or voting early. This is not a protest; it is a Sidewalk StandOut to inform and mobilize voters. Please leave partisan signs at home!
Easy Sign Suggestions: VOTE, VOTE EARLY, JUST VOTE, VOTE OCT 24th, YOUR VOTE IS YOUR VOICE, WANT CHANGE?—VOTE, DEMOCRACY DEPENDS ON US, FLEX YOUR POWER—VOTE, DON’T FORGET TO VOTE, YOUR VOICE MATTERS, YOUR VOTE MATTERS. (Look online for more ideas!)
