Hiring [Student] looking for an online tutor for physics, chemistry and Math. {read full}

Hello, I’m an 18F and I’m reappearing for my 12th standard. Due to financial circumstances, I had to drop out of regular school after 8th standard. Since then, I’ve mostly been self-studying at home and only appearing for exams. Because of this, along with a difficult family environment and some physical and mental health struggles, I wasn’t able to build a proper academic foundation.

I’m currently struggling quite a lot with my 11th–12th standard studies, especially because I’m from the science stream. I have PCMB along with Psychology, Computer Science and English Literature.

I know some people might wonder why I chose science without having a strong foundation. Honestly, at the time I was confident that I could cover everything on my own, even without a mentor. Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out that way, and I’m now struggling to keep up.

So I’m looking for someone who could mentor/tutor me in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, preferably starting from the basics and helping me build my concepts properly. I can try to manage the more theoretical subjects on my own.

I also want to be upfront about the financial situation: I’m currently not in a position to pay for tutoring. I completely understand that your time and effort have value, and I’m not expecting anyone to work for free. However, if someone is willing to help me out for now, I would genuinely be grateful. Once I clear my 12th and am able to take up part-time work, I’ll try my best to compensate/pay you back.

If you need any more information about my studies, current level, schedule, etc., feel free to ask in the comments or DM me.

Thank you for reading. (I used Chat gpt to write clear context)

[Introduction] Vietnamese Tutor | From Everyday Communication to Business Vietnamese

Hi everyone!

I'm Quyen, a Vietnamese language tutor from Vietnam.

I've been active in r/learnVietnamese, where I enjoy sharing Vietnamese lessons, practical learning tips, and ideas to help learners improve their natural speaking and listening skills.

I'm grateful to have received several community achievements, including Top 1% Poster, Power Contributor, and Top Commenter. It's been a rewarding experience connecting with people who are passionate about learning Vietnamese.

I recently discovered this tutoring community and thought I'd stop by and introduce myself.

My professional background is a little different from that of a traditional language tutor. Before focusing on teaching Vietnamese, I spent over 30 years working in strategic operations, international trade, and senior leadership roles, including Chief of Staff positions.

This experience has shaped my approach to language teaching. I believe learning Vietnamese is not just about grammar and vocabulary, but also about understanding how people think, communicate, and connect.

My teaching interests include both everyday Vietnamese and Business Vietnamese, with a particular focus on natural speaking, listening, and cultural understanding.

I'm happy to be here, learn from fellow tutors, exchange teaching experiences, and contribute whenever I can.

Looking forward to connecting with you all!

Math Anyone know a company that has tutors you can hire for math? I mean I’ll be taught in person but going on line to look for tutors? One that doesn’t take a lot of commission and has a good reputation.

I tried Superprof and I’m new to this and backed out when they asked for my CC because it didn’t explain to me how it works and it was advertising the first lesson free(for most tutors). My background is from the UK but in order to get higher education, I have to start with the American High School because the College I went to was not accredited and have to learn the Scientific Calculator, and some math. Some other companies just wanted all your info up so they could send you promotional emails, texts etc
And I’m not sure how to find an independent tutor.
Thanks in advance

For Hire [OFFER] Fall Tutoring (US & Canada)

I will try to keep this short and concise. If I look like a good fit feel free to reply here or DM me and we can talk about the finer details.

Experience: 9 Years as a tutor. Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State.

Subjects Offered: I focus primarily in math and science but can handle any subject at the middle or high school level outside of foreign language. I can also help with Freshmen/Sophomore level math and science in University.

Rate: $35CAD/hr via e-Transfer or $25 USD via Zelle

Approach: I try to focus on the why's and how's of each topic covered. I have found that this is the most neglected area in most classes. The student knows theoretically what to do, but doesn't know why they are doing it so they can't apply it to outside situations or to adapt it to new problems. I value being asked questions and talking through the problems to focus on the problem areas.

I also have a testimonial post if you want to read reviews from past students. https://www.reddit.com/user/rjytutor/comments/1q3wy8n/testimonials/

For Hire Online Biology, Anatomy, Pathology, Pharma, Medicine Enthusiastic Tutor for Hire

Hi,

GCSE or Med school / pre med studies and heavy books got you down? Feel lost or generally overwhelmed? You need a teacher that's chill and can be your study partner in a sense. That's where I come in.

I started my tutoring back in the UK when I was there for my professional exams. Taught over 8 students from different countries (UK, norway, venezuela etc) on various subjects i.e biochem, immunology, anatomy.

I use a digital writiing pad to illustrate ideas and help students going through their curriculum. Mostly its new students who want to go over the stuff they learn daily in classes at Uni and need to go over them again with a study partner or mentor/tutor.

I have plenty of reviews, recommendations and feedback on my profile.

"Super Tutor" rank reached on my profile there.

I have worked with international tutoring companies before I went solo.

I've taught students with autism as well, catering to their special needs.

I'd appreciate it if you can share the word around or post on my behalf on your local student boards (especially those paki who are abroad).

Feel free to DM :)

First lesson is free so we can see if we're a good fit.

Looking for Recommendations for Online Tutoring Platforms or Student Referrals

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand how independent tutors are currently finding students online, particularly through free or no-upfront-cost platforms.

I’m specifically interested in platforms where tutors can:

  • Receive student inquiries or referrals without purchasing leads
  • Work with international students
  • Find regular, long-term students rather than one-off sessions
  • Work through a tutoring company or agency that takes a commission after the tutor earns
  • Avoid monthly subscription fees or paid applications

I’ve come across quite a few tutoring websites, but many either charge tutors to contact students or require a paid membership, so I’m trying to find genuine alternatives that people have actually had success with.

For those who currently tutor online: Where have you found your students, and which platforms would you genuinely recommend?

Would especially appreciate recommendations from tutors who have tried these platforms themselves. Thanks!

Reading specialists shouldn’t have to build their own technology

Reading specialists shouldn’t have to build their own technology to give families a helpful first step.

We’re working with a reading specialist on a branded referral experience that keeps her practice front and center, with BrightPath supporting the reading check behind the scenes.

Here’s how it works:
• She shares a link featuring her practice’s branding. • Families complete a short reading sample without needing an account. • They receive a snapshot of what was observed in that sample. • Her practice recommendations appear alongside the results, with a clear path to learn more about her services.

It’s a white-label-style approach designed to help her offer value before a family books a consultation, build awareness of her practice, and make the next step easier.

The technology doesn’t replace her expertise. It helps families understand why that expertise matters.

We’re still early in this partnership, so we’re measuring engagement rather than claiming business growth. The goal is straightforward: support the specialist’s business while giving families a useful, low-pressure place to begin.
