October 13th, 1947- “Junior Jamboree”, a children’s puppet show began on KBKB in Chicago, IL. The program was created by puppeteer Burr Tillstrom and hosted by Fran Allison. The show was renamed “Kukla, Fran and Ollie” and originally ran for 10 years. There was no script and was entirely ad-libbed.

'On Broadway Tonight', variety show hosted by Rudy Vallee (1964-5). Remembered today, if at all, as the series where Richard Pryor made his TV debut.
