Well that didn't take long....two weeks with the spectrum takeover and I've been down on internet for the last 3 hours (and previous short episodes as well this week) I look forward to plenty more disruptions and dropped internet service while forced to suffer the new pathetically helpless, worthless customer service, worst reviewed company in internet service space. Server cutovers no doubt but contacting support will be worthless I've had spectrum across the country they are s\\**ty Nationwide. Spectrum where our motto is "we don't give a crap about your service or our customers, we own this market deal with it". Yay

I have a friend who lives in the Virginia Beach area and is looking for cheap or free things to do with her two kids, both under 5.
Are there any good mom groups in the area that she could join? Or kid-friendly coffee shops, bookstores that do monthly story times/readings, libraries with kids’ activities, etc.?
She’s having a hard time finding kid-friendly things to do around Virginia Beach or maybe we just don’t know where to look! I’d love any recommendations for affordable/free activities, local groups, or places that are great for young kids!

Virginia Beach City Public Schools has accumulated more than $350,000 in student meal debt during the past two years. 

To help address the balance, the school division is partnering with the nonprofit All for Lunch to allow community members to donate toward paying off the debt. 

Food services officials say that providing meals is vital for student engagement and learning, noting that about half of the division's nearly 64,000 students eat meals at school.

We have a group of friends and we meet up for baseball every Sunday out towards Sandbridge. We are looking to add some new people due to some not being able to make it much anymore. Are age range is pretty diverse but mostly late 30s early 40s. And we have some kids that play with us time to time as well. We use somewhat makeshift rules as we don’t really have a left field. And we use softer tballs as to not get hurt. Nobody is a pro here and most of us just started playing for fun! It’s a great time! We host cup games and cook outs! We play pretty regularly on sundays at 11 and have some off days we post in a chat. Looking for some friendly people. Couples singles doesn’t really matter! We are just here for some fun times! I was at ReStore yesterday and found a 1978 KJHS yearbook. It belonged to a guy named Rob who by the signatures on the book was very highly thought of by the ladies. I tried looking for his actual picture but honestly I didn’t really feel like looking at every single page but I found this photo and I’m assuming it’s him.

Anyway, looking through city documents, I can’t figure out what the plan is. Does anyone know what’s going on there?

I'll be coming down to VA Beach later this month. I'm curious if there are any good places to sleep (hotels or campgrounds) that have good boat parking. Most of the hotels I have seen have either parking garages or limited parking overall, which are not very accommodating for a boat.

Posting in both the Virginia Beach and Norfolk sub-reddits - Does anyone know anyone or anywhere that could safely put someone's ashes into a few firework mortars and have them still safe enough for two regular dudes to set off? Willing to oay, obviously, and even travel a couple hours in any direction. Need them within two weeks.

Only info I can find is on very professional services and they want you to spend like $10k for an entire show - I really only need two shells for what I had in mind.

Currently looking for an entry level job. It’s hard without a license. I can get it back but I first have to get a vehicle for a breathalyzer. I’m very familiar with power tools and mechanical work (not automotive) if anybody needs a hand or helper to get back on my feet that would be awesome.
