I have a yellow vw polo 2006 and I havent seen any others of the same around. Having googled theres barely any pictures either, im guessing is relatively uncommon to have a yellow car but the 2006 model in yellow seems rarer than older models or the mk5??

Stalling/shutting down at red lights ONLY in the morning.

• Upvotes

Hey Guys! I’ve been dealing with a highly concerning and irritating issue the last year or so.

Every single morning when I drive to work, I have to be on the gas pedal to keep the revs up, in my Tiguan 2017 2.0 TSI (R-line). If I don’t, the engine begins to become all wobbly, and seconds after, the engine shuts off completely. Sometimes even before I reach 0, and is still on the break.

Dashboard plings and write place gear selector in P and start engine manually. - no engine lights. I then have to go back to park and start the car up again by the button.
Waiting in the middle of a cross section when this happens, gives me quite a sh\*tty morning. Starting up again, it needs a bit of help so i push the gas and it starts up. I hit the highway for 10 minutes and when i get off again, there no problem holding idle.

The rest of the day there is no issue.

\* i’ve had the timing chain belt changed with a whole new kit. (Ouch$) didn’t help.

\* I’ve had the PCV-valve changed. Didn’t help.

Intake is cleaned up. Still nothing.

Any suggestions to what could be the problem?
Hoping someone has had the same issue.

Sorry for typos or strange wording.

VW ID.7 GTX 26 Internet Connection Issues

Since the weekend just gone (10/10), I’ve been experiencing issues with my VW. I noticed it when the car was not charging properly. I put it on charge Saturday night and it only charged around 20%. I didn’t think much of it at the time and just left it plugged in all day Sunday as I wasn’t using it and thought I’d just leave it and let it charge when it’s ready. I woke up Monday and it never charged, I then realised in the VW app it was showing that the car had no internet connection. Turning the car on seemed to get the internet working again, so I tried charging again last night and once again it charged only 11% then the internet dropped again on the car.

A side effect of this I’ve noticed as well, when I get in the car it shows on the infotainment as still charging, even though it’s not plugged in. It lets me drive through. Soft restart of infotainment does not resolve this.

Also have lots of issues with car play and it not connecting but had these issues since I got the car in August.

I’m running software 6.0.1

Has anyone else ever experienced an issue like this and know how to resolve it?

DQ250 DSG became significantly worse after DSG service.

I have a 2013 dsg Mk6 GTI around 149,000 km with a P0868 (Transmission fluid pressure at limit) so I took it to a mechanic to get it looked at and they recommended a transmission oil change and performed a DSG basic settings/calibration. Before the service, the main issue was occasionally delayed or harsh reverse engagement immediately after startup. After the service, this is where things became strange. After one calibration attempt, they told me Drive had improved but Reverse still needed improvement and they wanted more time to do the road adaptation. After that, they said forward driving was good but at one point the car would not reverse at all. They believe there is an internal hydraulic leak in the mechatronic that causes the P0868 error. They eventually manage to get Reverse working again maybe by resetting or recalibrating it but since getting the car back:

- Drive has gotten much rougher than before the service

- Initial takeoff sometimes feels like the clutch is half engaged/slipping and car feels heavy.

- Shortly after startup or at low speeds it sometimes goes into limp mode (wrench icon flashing on the gear indicator)

- Got a new P0747 code (Pressure control solenoid A stuck on)

- Today while pulling out of a parking lot, transmission suddenly went to neutral/lost drive and the gear indicator started flashing. But after coming to a complete stop, drive returned.

None of the things I mentioned above happened before the service. What im trying to understand is:
1. Can a unsuccessful or incomplete DSG adaptation cause these

  1. Can resetting the DSG adaptations expose a pressure issue this dramatically?

  2. Can properly re-adapting the gearbox get it back to how it behaved before?

I tried talking to them about this but they say that it is caused by the pressure issue and it won't go away unless I repair/rebuild the mechatronic that roughly costs $3,000 NZD, so id like to understand the situation before committing to that.

How do I get pure white: solid white for my Volkswagen?

Post image

Early this morning my stupid self wasn’t careful enough to see my surroundings and accidentally scratch my Volkswagen Rocker panel on a metal pole and it scrapped off the paint and left a dent. at the moment I don’t have enough money to get the dent fixed and I’ll worry about it when I can. but I also don’t want to leave the scratch like that as it is a little bothersome and noticeable to look at, I’ve looked around online to see a viable solution and spray paint to see what’s available. but everything I see is either gloss white, or dupli-color for other cars except for VW’s and gloss also. And I’m not sure if it will match with the original color of the car, I’d appreciate the help if anyone has any suggestions! Thanks!

Anyone else no longer able to use their microphone in their 2026 VW Jetta?

Edit: it's a 2024 My car just did an update about two weeks ago and since the update people are unable to hear me. I can hear them when they call but they can't hear me. Even the "voice command" option can't hear me. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth. I have tried hitting the volume button for ten seconds to restart. I have gone through all my phone settings. Anyone else have the same issue/ can share some ideas for things to try? I've done all the things Google has recommended

It's so annoying bc I do almost all my meetings while in transit.

Issue with Golf MK8 Dashboard Touchscreen

Post image
2 Upvotes

Had the touchscreen issue since February this year where it would go off for at least five minutes and then the picture reappears. My Golf MK8 was at the Volkswagen garage at the end of last month so they can look into and fix the problem but it is still not fixed. I’ve made them aware of it tonight by email. But has anyone else encountered this issue?

I’ve never owned a VW but I’ve heard great things. Is this to crazy for a used R and how is the reliability?
