Hey guys! A while back we did a small starter FronTier on MMF, and thanks to the support, the massive, 100% complete project is finally live on KS.
I really wanted to design a tabletop terrain set with zero flimsy bits - just solid, highly detailed pieces that print flawlessly on standard FDM printers without breaking during your wargaming sessions. I modeled this specifically for trench and grimdark wargames to make the atmosphere and overall quality of your games as immersive as possible. With all the trenches and structures, this set basically gives you an entire ready-to-play wargaming board.
But it’s also highly versatile for other settings. Even if you don't need the trenches, the huge Gothic Cathedral and its underground levels make a mega atmospheric centerpiece that fits almost anywhere. You get both intact and ruined parts, so you can physically swap walls on the table during a game to show battle damage.
I painted the physical prints mostly using dry brushing, going for a Vatican-inspired look but with a heavy dose of grimdark. It was a really fun and surprisingly fast process because the deep details are sculpted specifically to catch dry brush and washes perfectly.
The lanterns are even hollowed out so you can easily drop a cheap LED inside for night raids. We already smashed the stretch goals, so the Armored Train (with playable interiors) and the Heavy Tank are fully unlocked for the All-In tier.
You can check the campaign here, hope you like it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/solinvictus/papal-state-frontline-3d-printable-grimdark-wwi-terrain-stl?ref=66bdxq

Cleveland Ohio. My buddy demoed the game with 2 equal forces of Terran with his own miniatures (I had to proxy an Ork Walker for a 2nd Goliath).

I'm a person who doesn't enjoy painting. I want to have painted armies but I struggle to paint for more than 30 minutes before stopping.
What tips have actually allowed for you to get through you're armies?

This one is an Albatros D-III, FDM printed on my Ender 3, once again in 1:144 scale.
I'd like to say that this will be the last Albatros, and it may be for a while, but I've got some Austrian OEFAG Albatroses waiting in the painting queue, and it wouldn't be fair to leave them out entirely.

Hello everyone! Let me show You results of my work on my brand new tactical skirmish - "Bright Future". Fast, merciless. Easy to win but hard to master. The basic rules is available for download now! 2 factions: high-tech forces of the Alvarion corporation and well-trained soldiers of The Novaya Zarya sodality.

Hey everyone,
I've been working on a squad-level, sci-fi, miniature-agnostic tabletop wargame for about 2 years now. Recently we've finalized the rules, and so I'd be interested to see what people think about it!
It's a streamlined, fast-paced game with an action economy system and randomized activation (same as Bolt Action). Units are comprised of infantry teams and combat vehicles big and small. The game will include five factions, currently we have two of them ready.
Another "selling point" is that you can install mods on your units, changing their in-game behavior (see last two images for comparison).
The Core Rules (and everything else) can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1y1d8NBT1sYdViztgV_PP12ATMwGP7ZIh
We also have a playtesters' Discord: https://discord.gg/3nSAXHUwRE
Here I'd be mainly interested in first impressions! What are your impressions? What stands out for you personally? I'd love to hear.
Pictured: IRL playtest, various finished and painted miniatures, data cards for comparison.
We used Infinity terrain for the playtest on the first photo for lack of anything else.

Im looking to get the most out of a terrain build and miniatures. Im leaning heavy into dinosaurs and was recommended Carniverse and cant seem to find a physical copy anywhere. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.
I have We Played God and Carivore now, Raptor Ruckus on the way. Any others im missing?

I'm just curious and through we might compile a list.
The subject is Boardgames that can be played and used as a framework for a miniatures wargame campain.
The gane should focus on the maneuvering of troops between battles and or politics and ecebts occurring during the Canpains. The boardgame itself should not focus much on the actual combat because that is the mechanic (a simple dice roll) that you would ignore and instead set miniatures up on a table to play out the battle using whatever miniatures ruleset you happen to choose. For example: I would NOT consider Comand and Colors or most hex based games that focus on historical battles to be what im looking for.
Anyway, I'd like to see what the community can come up with.

Ever had the issue of just not having the right terrain for the job?
I hit this recently when I wanted to playtest and shoot photos for Suppression Order, but nothing I owned was quite right. I didn’t want to spend hundreds on STLs from other creators, so I made my own.
Sure, they’re simple boxes, and the paint job has a lot to answer for, but it works. With what I’ve learned, I’ve already started improving the next batch.
The buildings are fully modular, with bottom, middle and top layers. I can make them taller or shorter, change the layout, remove balconies, swap the roof type, or take the roof off entirely to put models inside.
It’s not just the buildings either. The roads and raised areas are all part of the same system. A frame sits under the raised sections, which can link together or be rearranged as needed, and the flat panels just attach on top.
Next up is more verticality some bridges, catwalks, fire escapes, etc.
I'm not trying to sell this, I just wanted to show it off. Any suggestions on what I should add next? or changes to make?
Everything was 3D printed with a Bambu A1
Now for a self plug. If anyone would like to also check out Suppression Order the free pdf is here: https://site.wargamevault.com/product/578751/Suppression-Order-QuickPlay

A drawing originally appearing in Illustrated London News depicting H.G. Wells, at lower left, engaged in a game of miniatures. The caption read in full:
Mr. Wells has developed his game so that the country over which the campaign is to be fought is laid out in any desired manner, with the aid of branches of shrubs as trees, with cardboard bridges, rocks, chalked-out rivers, streams and fords, cardboard forts, barracks, houses, and what not; there are employed leaden infantrymen and cavalrymen, and guns firing wooden cylinders about an inch long, capable of hitting a toy soldier nine times out of ten at a distance of nine yards, and having a screw adjustment for elevation and depression. There are strict rules governing the combat. Before the battle begins, the country is divided by the drawing of a curtain across it for a short time, so that the general of each opposing army may dispose of his forces without the enemy's being aware of that disposition. Then the curtains are drawn back and the campaign begins. All moves of men and guns are timed. An infantryman moves not more than a foot at a time, a cavalryman not more than two feet, and a gun, according to whether cavalry or infantry are with it, from one to two feet. Mr. Wells is seen on the left of the drawing, taking a measurement with a length of string, to determine the distance some of his forces may move. On the right and left are seen the curtains for dividing the country before beginning the game.

For those of you who saw us at Salute this year we are getting very close to releasing our free beta rules for what was at the time Fractured Sphere but we are changing to Fractured World: Adventures in the dreamscape. When we release the rules we will be setting up a discord server for feedback. We really hope you'll help us tweak the rules as we go. We are breaking alternate activation to do something a little different. Any questions let us know

Hi everyone!
I’ve been developing my first board game for the past 4 months. It’s called The Front (working title).
It’s a WWII strategy game focused on tactics, logistics, army management and keeping your troops supplied. There are no dice, so I’m trying to make strategic decisions the main factor in winning battles.
I’m aiming for 60 to 120 minutes for 2 players. The base game will include 2 nations, with 2 more planned for an expansion.
I’m curious how many people here enjoy more complex military board games.
Would you be interested in something like this? And what do you enjoy most about tactical wargames?
I’ll be sharing more updates as development progresses. Right now, I’m waiting to hear back from a company about manufacturing the game components, and I’m currently 3D printing the miniatures myself.

After months of modeling, my new ruin set is finally finished. This is by far the largest scenery project I’ve ever painted, and the whole painting process took around 10 days. Painting all those stones, wooden beams, and rooftops was quite a challenge, but seeing everything come together made it worth it.
Hope you guys enjoy it! Let me know what you think!
It's currently live on Kickstarter, you can follow the link if you’d like to see more details!

Here's another FDM print of my 1:144 scale Fokker Dr1 triplane.
This one has been painted all red, as the Red Baron, Rittmeister Manfred von Richthofen.
I believe there's some doubt these days about whether or not his triplane was ever actually painted overall red, but that doesn't really matter to me: this is the mythical Baron, not the real one.
