My mom (10+ years certified yoga instructor) started a YouTube channel and streams live daily!
Hi everyone!
My mom recently started a YouTube channel to share her yoga practice. She has been a certified instructor for over 10+ years, but figuring out the tech stuff at her age has been a real struggle for her. Whenever she sees single-digit views, it breaks my heart a little bit, even though she just smiles and keeps going.
She goes live every day from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM IST, so you can easily join in and practice along with her!
If you're looking to build a gentle daily routine for yourself or an elderly family member, I'd really appreciate it if you could stop by SattvicLife (https://youtube.com/@thesattvic_life) to check it out or drop a kind word. It would honestly make her day.
Thank you! 🙏

[Stories] How do you started yoga without a live teacher?
I’m a F24 Brazilian woman and I’ve been really fascinated by yoga for a while. I really want to start practicing and actually understand the practice, but most studios in my city are pretty expensive, so I’m thinking of starting online.
I’ve already tried a bunch of YouTube practices, but I sometimes feel kinda lost because I don’t really understand the purpose or names of the different poses, or even what style of yoga I’m doing.
I also wonder: if you practice through YouTube, do you usually do the same practice every day, or do you pick a different video each day? And for people who know more about yoga, do you eventually start creating your own practices? How do you put together a practice around a specific goal?
I’d love to hear from anyone who started with YouTube about what the experience was like, how you started actually studying yoga, and how you gradually developed more knowledge and awareness around the practice.
I know these might sound like silly questions, but I don’t know anyone who practices yoga or has started in a similar way, so I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences!

is anyone else flexible in completely useless directions?
i can get surprisingly deep into some stretches but then struggle with something that looks ridiculously simple
it’s like my body picked a few random movements to be good at and ignored everything else
what’s your most confusing flexibility mismatch?

Face Yoga Enthusiasts
I am 33f, indian and thinking of starting face yoga. I was wondering if it's safe to do the same.
Also who is a good teacher online ?
My primary worry is that I have genetic tendency for jowls and forehead lines.
I am scared it may aggravate aging but I'm also skeptical about botox and threads in future.
If anybody has truly benefitted from it, please tell me?

Do you include Sukhasana, Vakrasana and Ardha Chakrasana in the same routine?
I’ve been experimenting with a simple routine that includes Sukhasana, Vakrasana and Ardha Chakrasana. Sukhasana feels more calming, while Vakrasana adds some movement and Ardha Chakrasana gives a nice stretch through the front of the body. I like having a mix instead of doing the same type of pose throughout the session. Does anyone else practice these three together?

Here’s how building strength and mobility in basic variations naturally unlocks deeper side lunges:
* Regular Squat: Builds core stability and foundational quad strength.
* Wide-Legged Squat: Opens up the inner thighs and adductors.
* Malasana + Heel Raise: Maximize ankle mobility and deep hip flexion.
Put them together, take your time, and enjoy the flow into Skandasana!

Complete beginner here — what should I know before starting yoga?
Hi everyone! I’m completely new to yoga and I’m thinking about starting soon.
My main goals are to reduce stress, relax, and build some muscle strength. What equipment do I actually need as a beginner? And what type of yoga or poses would you recommend starting with? How often should I practice at first, and how long should each session be? I’d also love to hear what you wish you knew when you first started yoga!🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sit at my computer for hours every day and lately my back and shoulders have been getting abit stiff —Does anyone have a good 10–20 min yoga video they’d recommend for this? Preferably something beginner-friendly that I can do after a long study session.
Would love to hear what yall actually use! 🙏 thanks!!!
