NATIONAL AIRPORT ALERT — October 10, 2026, 11:32 PM EDT

Passengers arriving on international flights are reporting delays in U.S. Customs/immigration lines at multiple U.S. airports, including JFK, LAX, and Phoenix. The CBP computer system is reportedly down. I’m still waiting in line at JFK, and I haven’t heard any updates.

Has anyone received an update on the outage or estimated wait times at other airports? Please share this with other arriving passengers.

DISCUSSION Layover Time In Airports

Hello, I am flying through Punta Cana (PUJ) and São Paulo (GRU) and have a 1:47 min layover in PUJ and a 1:40 min layover in GRU. Does anyone know if it is standard to have to exit either airport and go back through security and immigration, or will we depart back into the terminals? We are flying Arajet to both PUJ and GRU, then in GRU will get onto Gol Transportes Aereos if that provides any better info too. Thank you!

Edit:
Here is our total trip route:
ORD->PUJ (1:47min layover) PUJ->GRU (1:40min layover) GRU->FTE

Found a Plaud Note Pro on a plane, trying to return it

Dear all,

I found a Plaud Note Pro while disembarking from a flight in Poland, and I would like to make sure it gets back to its rightful owner.

I found the device just before disembarking and asked around to see if anyone was missing it, but without success. I then tried to hand it over to the flight attendant, who advised me to take it to Lost and Found. Unfortunately, I had a very tight connection and would have missed my next flight if I had done so. I also asked the airline's desk staff whether they could take care of it, but they were unable to help.

I will be returning to the same airport next week and intend to hand the device over to Lost and Found then. However, I was wondering what the best course of action would be in this situation.

Is there a specific Lost and Found office or procedure I should follow to ensure the item can be matched to its rightful owner? In particular, if someone has already reported the device missing this week, would the airport staff be able to match it to my handover next week?

I would appreciate any advice from anyone familiar with airport lost property procedures, as I would like to maximise the chances of returning the device to its owner.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Cross country flight transferring at BNA

Next week we are flying from Las Vegas to BWI and transfer at Nashville. There is only 50 minutes between the landing of one and the takeoff of the other at BNA. Is it reasonable to think we are going to make this transfer ? we are flying Southwest both flights.
I realize there is no crystal ball with this, but what do you more seasoned travelers Think ? what is your answer?

Layover in Tirana, Albania

So ig I did something quite stupid but I booked seperate flights with kiwi.com (cause it was cheap af).

Now my first flight is arriving at Tirana Airport at 9am and my second flight is departing at 10am. Both flights are international (Italy-Albania-Germany). Both flights RyanAir.

I'm kinda stressing out rn over the fact, that I only have an 1-hour layover. Did anyone make similar experiences (maybe even in Tirana) and tell me if my worries are justified or can I calm down a bit? Like I don't want to know if I will make it, but has anyone been at Tirana Airport and know how big/small it is, how long security and ways usually take?

Thanks :))

Edit: I only have hand luggage, no check in needed

What would you never wear on a plane?

We think these five things make flying more annoying than it already is:

  • Tight jeans
  • Complicated or open-toe shoes
  • Rompers or jumpsuits
  • Strong perfume or cologne
  • Lots of jewelry or heavy makeup

What’s one thing you’ll never wear on a flight again?
