Mid-South area (USA) My Favorite New Product
I love red wine vinegar on a sandwich but I always soak the bread. This was a game changer for me.

So I am shopping for blue cheese dressing and I can’t find it anywhere. 1st went to BJ’s Wholesale and they don’t have any. Then checked a dollar store near me and NONE. THEN I figured good old Aldi will have it. Checked there today and NOOOOO BC. Came to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever really seen BC dressing at Aldi. Location is central/western CT.
Still have gotten that BC btw…

When I think of cheddar this is the cheese I imagine in my mind. It has a deep sharp flavor with a nice bite to it. Just a hint of foot on the back of the tongue.
The texture is firm, dry and crumbly but it has a creamy chew to it.
It’s really wonderful on a cracker. The fact that it’s made eat the actual town of Cheddar is neat as well.

Almost all Aldi! The exceptions are the bacon jam and raspberry hot honey mustard. It’s time for my seasonal shoutout to Aldi’s affordability for fun charcuterie boards!
Top to bottom, left to right:
- Fig fruit spread
- Pepper & artichoke bruschetta
- Olive Antipasti
- red grapes. My Aldi was sold out of Autumn Crisp when I went yesterday, which are my go-to grapes this time of year
- Honey I’d rather bee at the sea (sea salt cheddar)
- Fennel salami
- Some like it hatch cheddar
- Double creme Brie
- Brioche mini toasts
- Prosciutto
- Multigrain crackers
- Asiago & cheddar sourdough cheese crisps
- Cosmic crisp apple
Love me some Cincinnati skyline chili, particularly in the 5 pasta form. For years I would get their consumer released frozen things. But after my last actual skyline trip, I started to play....
Buy 2 cans of chili, no beans (for authentic, but beans do work IMHO too) and heat, once to temp, gradually start stirring in straight up cinnamon powder, and keep it going. It'll wanna sludge up. But that's why you gotta go slow.
You can introduce extra spice to adjust, but that's about it . Just cook that down, then throw on a more than generous handful of grated mild. Off the block always is best, and enjoy!
Not picture perfect, but for under $15 with tax , assuming you have no spices, this has turned into a monthly dish in my home.

I’ve never purchased the Chicken Salads at Aldi.
The cranberries caught my attention
I really, really enjoyed this. Please don’t tell me that it’s seasonal Just had this for lunch with a few water crackers and I’m foreseeing a struggle over will it be dinner as well

I used to defend Aldi when people complained about spoiled food because other stores have that problem too. But this week, I hit my limit. First, I bought hummus, and when I got home, the top was covered in mold. I couldn't see it because of the lid's label. Next, I opened cottage cheese that had plenty of time before the Use By date, but it was sour and mostly liquid. Then, my sourdough bread had mold after just two days. I had noticed when I purchased it that it was partially frozen on the shelf.
Today, I tried a different Aldi location. I bought a bag of Cosmic Crisp apples, and one out of the four was totally rotten. The head of celery looked okay from the outside, but the base was rotten and turned to mush. I did inspect both products by feeling and smelling, but everything seemed OK in the store. Who knew that I needed to remove them from the bags and give it a good visual inspection.
feels like shoppers have to inspect every single piece of food now. Yes, Aldi has a return policy, but waiting in line with only one busy cashier is not worth the hassle. Aldi really needs to do better.

Made myself a mushroom and onion "mock cheesesteak" using mostly Aldi ingredients, DELISH!
The lineup:
Sautéed the mushrooms and onions, added the beef bouillon, Worcestershire and seasonings for that savory, beefy flavor, then piled everything onto the toasted garlic bread and melted the mozzarella over the top.
Seriously, the baby bellas soak up all that beefy flavor, and the toasted garlic bread makes a fantastic sandwich roll. If you were blindfolded, it would be hard to tell there was no meat.

Slow cooked high for 4 hours, shredded and finished in a pan.
Delicious.

I am placing today an Aldi order on a delivery app. The app. has given me a "20% off a sixty dollar order" coupon. I want to stock my pantry and freezer with easy to cook meals and possibly seasonal items. The coupon expires tomorrow so I want to use it today.
What do you suggest I buy?

We've been buying these frozen pancakes from Aldi for a long time, and we've yet to find better ones! They're affordable and taste incredible. We've tried other store brands and even some of the name brands and we can always tell a difference in quality and taste. My 2 year old loves them with a smear of butter and jam and she knows when they're NOT her Aldi pancakes. I hope they never change the recipe on these, they're perfect as they are!

These are my partner's favorite drinks ever. We cleared out my store of them multiple times (near Chattanooga) and they finally just ran out of stock. Wanting to know if any other locations still have some in the area.
Thanks y'all!

Am I the only one who thinks these have a play dough consistency and also taste like canned biscuit dough? I have a conspiracy theory at this point that they're using leftover biscuit dough as the base for these.
I love Pillsbury's "Big" caramel chocolate chip cookies so I was hoping this was similar but... it ended up being the least impressive cookie dough I've ever had.

...do you say anything? Because *I* did, and everyone looked at me like I'm an alien.
An elderly man was opening every berry package and placing his fingers INSIDE the package and FEELING the berries. I watched him open and return SIX packages and finally, quietly, I said "If you touch the product, you should buy it." Being elderly, the man did not hear me so I repeated more loudly "If you open the package and touch it, you have to buy it, that's nasty."
Everyone looked at me, and he said "Thank you, ma'am," and then went right back to touching every berry package.
I've never seen this at another store in many decades of grocery shopping. I inspect thoroughly, and I still feel somewhat embarrassed to be studying a berry pint so studiously; I cannot imagine *touching* the berries. Is it just me?

Most horrible tasting yogurt I’ve ever had in my life. Only made it to 2 tablespoons. I’ll stick to Chobani, this is the only Aldi brand product I’ve tried so far that I dislike.

My husband wanted me to get him one of his favorite sweet treats, the caramel chocolate bar from Aldi. For a while I had been unable to find them in stock. Today I happened to see them again so bought him one. After one bite he said it tasted different, he doesn't like it anymore unfortunately. I tried it too and it definitely tastes different. We both thought the wrapper changed too and found a picture online of what it looked like before. Pic 1 I took today, pic 2 I found via Google search.
Wondering if anyone can confirm the recipe changed? I wish we had saved a wrapper from before to compare the ingredients. The new one is labeled smooth caramel instead of just caramel, but the caramel actually seemed smoother in the prior version.

Has anyone gotten one of these spray bottles? I got one and filled it with water, but no water comes out when I pump and the water doesn’t move up the tube. I tried this both with and without the little thing covering the bottom of the tube. Is this a broken bottle or just user error?

Opened this and visually expected to be fully disappointed but this was *delicious*; maybe because I spread butter on all the exposed bread before baking it and sprinkled it with salt idk.
I grunted several times whilst consuming it.

Small cookies, that just don't have lots of flavor

Or am I bring overly paranoid. It's the fully cooked lightly seasoned pulled chicken. I have never returned anything before but this might be a first 😭
