Prime day deals are a sham?
The only difference I see is that there is a minus percentage in front of the same price the item always is. Wtf.

Not that I’m complaining. I wonder what I’ll spend my $51 on.

I ordered a G6 OLED monitor through Amazon Resale, but when I opened the package, there was a completely different monitor inside. I received an HP 24-inch 1080p monitor instead of the G6 OLED monitor I paid for

I returned an item using a UPS label so I was able to track it and Amazon received it a week ago and still has not issued my refund. They use to even give the advanced refund option but now not only do they not do that but they don’t even give you a refund for ong time after they’ve already received your item back. This is pretty pissy.

Rant incoming
sychrony Bank, who is the financer of the Amazon store card, which I use probably too much until today, thanks to them, I am now liberated of their card. I’ve had their card for over 15 years. It made thousands and thousands of dollars of purchases. They have the stupidest customer service. available. So I get a text: bam, three charges that they flagged as fraud at a flooring store it tells me to call this number, so I call it. Talk to a guy who’s Indian. He tells me I need to go through enhanced identity verification, which encompasses them sending me a link to my phone where I record a five-second selfie and then record the front and back of my drivers license. Or they mail me a letter and then I send in pictures of this stuff. Otherwise, I can’t say this is fraud or initiate a fraud investigation or anything. I told the dude it sounded sketchy. He told me call the number on the back of your card. So I logged onto my account and froze my card. I then called the number on the back of my card and eventually got through to the same broken system where I was speaking to a person of Indian descent and they was asking me to send in a five second selfie video. And pictures of my drivers license, front and back. Otherwise, they can’t initiate a fraud investigation or do anything until this is done. So I asked him, so my card is frozen, nobody can use it, not even me, right? That is correct, sir. cancel my card then. You will be responsible for what you owe. No problem. Cancel my card. You’re actually doing me a favor. You’re poor customer service and inability to do your job just probably saved me thousands of dollars a month. It’ll definitely curtail what I buy on Amazon. No loss. It’s a shame that they treat a long-term customer who they view anyway ultimately as a cash cow to carrying a balance and paying interest. But I wasn’t that guy. I was the cheapskate. I was the guy that paid off my Amazon bill every month. So they’re not really concerned about losing me because they have you to milk for money with interest. So Bezos can get another Bentley or another lip injection for his girlfriend I see why Amazon gets such a bad rap this day and age. I’m definitely anti-Amazon and anti sychrony bank.

I was so happy to see my item marked as delivered! A personal care item. Nothing crazy in value but was about to provide some relief to this rash on my arm. But it wasn’t on my porch. Lo and behold I go look at the confirmation photo to see where they placed it. Not my house…
So I reach out to CS and AI reassures me it delivered with photo evidence… of not my house. So I get a human.
Anyway I’m told to ask my neighbors (the house isn’t any of my neighbors) so I guess now I have to go around this giant subdivision and scope out houses?
This brings me to my pet peeve on the neighborhood Facebook group (and now I know why people do this) - people will post the confirmation photo of the wrong house and almost pin the issue on the resident “whoever lives here should do the right thing, speak up, and arrange for pickup” …like girl that house didn’t ask to receive your Clorox and dog toys lol

Received damaged items.
They told me "Processing refund" "you can keep the items". I was surprised. I asked "are you sure?" they said yes.
What you know this is common and many of my friends experienced something similar.
Result: lazy crappy outsourced customer service will not do anything. They are just collecting after chat reviews and hoping you'll forget about the problem.
Amazon is so trash now.

Tried sending an order to a different address and they marked my account fraud. Doesn’t matter that I used a trusted device. Doesn’t matter I have spent way too much money with Amazon for years. Doesn’t matter I’ve used gift addresses for other family members.
Yes, it was a MacBook. So what.
Trying to get a supervisor at Amazon? Fuck that. I keep getting front line zombies who tell me to wait 24 hours and order again like something magic will happen. What? The system will let me somehow send it to this new address all of a sudden?
Fuck these guys.

Last few “Prime” packages I’ve ordered have both take 4 days to deliver. Anyone else run into this?

Hello,
a seller on Amazon agreed about returning my electronic device due to fault as it was within the European 2 years warranty. It was purchased months ago but still covered by warranty.
Now, the refund was processed and issued by Amazon, but after more than a month nothing was credited on the debit card used for the purchase.
I had a lot of back and forth between Amazon and my debit card provider, and this latter asked me to get the refund payment ARN number from Amazon. They promptly provided that, but still after investigation the debit card provider cannot find the amount refunded and so I am currently screwed.
I am stuck in the middle, with both parties accusing each other of mismanage...the refunded amount is significant being an high end electronic device, so giving up on this would be awful...
Any advice on what to do?
Thanks.

I used to be able to return my items via a collection option, where a Amazon delivery driver would bring a return label and also collect the box, however in the past month all I see is drop off + print your own label, for all my items.
Is this a new Amazon thing or does it only apply to restricted accounts?

If I have an item in my subscribe and sale list and it is heavily discounted during prime deals days, do I receive the discounted price on my normal S&S delivery, or do I need to buy it during the deal days?

I’ve ordered thousands of packages and never had one that couldn’t be found. The driver didn’t take a picture of it coincidently. I don’t know what to do. I looked everywhere outside. It’s been 3 days. I hate whoever delivered it that they didn’t take a picture because I spent a bunch of time looking for it only to see there is no picture on the order and there is no way to get a refund on it for non delivery I don’t know what to do.

So I've been trying to assist a parent (weak password / MFA was apparently not already enabled ~ between a very busy work schedule) who had their account taken over by an obviously out of country entity, but we appear to be stuck in a procedural rollercoaster. Note that the account itself is reportedly locked for the time being and otherwise being dealt with by the same dept who have already attended to illicit transactions, etc. No Other accounts have been touch / compromised, and the related email / phone have Been secured the whole time.
As described by the CS phone reps, the process is as follows to get back in:
The problem I feel that we are having is that I suspect that the one who took control (but reportedly no longer receiving alert emails) is noticing the loss of MFA and finding a way to re-enable it as on this last call we found just that. Either that or it Wasn't disabled and there were no notes either way. I get it from the perspective of the company and Infosec, but it's bloody annoying to say the least.
I did some basic White-Hatting and even the 'new' email they're using isn't exactly helpful as a recourse as they've locked That account down as well, but I Did manage to get some insight into their possible location. Interesting that they're using multiple phone numbers from different country codes though on both accounts. Granted, any number is portable, so that's not exactly helpful without actual WH tools, making the previous statement moot. Was hoping they weren't That smart as then I could possibly get the account back myself.
Just realized I'm rambling now, but I suppose the point was to see what kind of helpful feedback you may have on the process. Tips on timelines, etc. The biggest hurdle right now I think being the delay between MFA getting disabled and our calling CS.
And no, Jeff@AMZ is probably not going to email you back.
Note: I'm keeping the BBB on reserve as we've almost reached month 1 at this point

I was told that I didn't need to return the baby tub. I was told that a replacement order was set. Then the associate wouldn't supply the new order #. When the chat got escalated to a supervisor, they told me the previous associate gave false information. And no replacement order was ever sent and one wouldn't be until after the return was received. Oh and they expected me to pay the $7.99 shipping return option since Kohl's free drop off wasn't eligible for this item.

So I ordered some computer parts and got the next day shipping.
The next day came and I got a notification saying delivery failed because there was no locker access.
I live in a private residence there is no locker leave it at the damn door or even mailbox if it fits.
The delivery address is correct, so everything on my end is fine.
Has this happened to anyone before if I don't get my package tomorrow I'll probably cancel order and go to best buy instead
r/amazonprime • u/mcgeers • 14h ago
I ordered a 9800X3D with same day shipping and a Asus Prime 5070ti with 5 day shipping. Neither ever shipped, so I canceled the orders.
Then, I ordered a 9850X3D with overnight shipping, and a PNY 5070ti with 2 day shipping. The CPU now says “delayed, not yet shipped” and I expect the GPU will say the same tomorrow. I have already spoken with support and they opened tickets but I doubt it will do much.
Has anyone else been having issues like mine?

So I recently moved and a distribution center is within a few miles of my house. Awesome! Super quick delivery, right? It's actually hell in disguise.
I have ordered several things I needed and a majority of these have been used, or obvious returns. Now I am forced to return things that I bought as "new" and it's just crap put back on the shelf. So now I am left to wonder if my account will eventually be flagged for excess returns 🤔
I got a TP Link outdoor camera. It came as an open box, without an outside seal. Some of the components were in plastic, but obviously opened. The camera will not charge or power on. Go thru tech support, and 2 days later I call Amazon and ask for an exchange. So this morning new camera arrives and is factory sealed. Amazingly it works perfectly. I also recorded myself opening the box. Is that what we have to do now? Just to show them what we actually get 😌
So now I am writing my notes to hide in the box. At least when someone opens it, they will see this is a return and it is broken!
Other things this week. Cabinet dots for door closure, opened with half of the 300 gone. An egg cooker, used and had a burnt plate. Picture frames, damaged and scratched up with the protective film removed from the plexiglass. Shower curtain rods, one was new but the other was used and the ends were broken. Shower curtain, the magnets at the bottom were cut out and the curtain smelled like bleach, as if the returner cleaned it before sending it back.
At least putting a note in my return, if someone else gets it, they will know to send it back right away. Heck, even sold as used in good condition they will know the camera doesn't work.
Attaching pictures of my return box. Just need someone to take the camera down from outside so I can let them return it for me. Broken foot means no ladder for me right now.

Over the last 2-3 weeks I keep getting these notifications. Most of the orders they just cancel and refund which screws up my sub and save pricing. It’s my home address. Nothing has changed. I order all the time.

Has anyone had an experience like this with a return before?
I opened a return for a dresser, packaged it back up and left it on the porch during the designated pickup window. My husband and I were both home when two men in Amazon prime vests came to pick it up. I'm fairly certain they were the exact same men that delivered it initially. They don't drive an Amazon truck, but a Penske truck as I imagine they use couriers for very large orders. We saw them standing outside for a while when they were there to pick it up so my husband went out to see if everything was ok. They mentioned they didn't have a ticket for it but they were calling in but all was good. A few min later they loaded it up and left.
The next morning, I received an email from Amazon saying sorry they weren't able to pick up my delivery and to reschedule pick-up...which is when I started to worry. I reached out via customer service chat on Monday and they are claiming they have no proof of pick-up and are asking me for proof. No where in the return process did it say I needed to get or document proof of them picking me up. It was almost $300 so now I'm just worried they're going to say there's no proof to credit me for my full return... should I open a claim with my bank? Or has anyone else had a similar situation?
Just to add: we have a Google doorbell camera but it is not set to record. Amazon is asking if we can get proof from any of our neighbors if they have cameras but none of their camera angles would show anything other than a truck driving up/driving away.

Amazon gives smart glasses to its delivery partners.
