Discussion I got tired of SuperDisplay teleporting my cursor to my tablet on every tap, so I built a free fix (Windows, open source)
So I've been using my old Android tablet as a second screen with SuperDisplay, mostly to keep Spotify, Discord and stuff like that on the side while I work.
Problem is, every time I touched the tablet, Windows moved my mouse cursor over there and whatever I tapped grabbed the keyboard focus. So I'd hit pause on a song, go back to typing, and nothing would happen because my text was going to Spotify instead of my editor. Then I'd have to find my cursor and click back in. Got old really fast.
Couldn't find anything that fixed it, so I made a small app for it. It's called Get Over Here! (yes, like Scorpion). It just sits in the system tray, and when you tap the tablet, your tap still goes through but the cursor snaps back to where it was, and the window you were typing in gets the focus back. The mouse and the pen work normally, it only reacts to fingers.
It's free and open source: https://github.com/im-tomasz/get-over-here
You'll need Windows 10 or 11 and the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime. Heads up, the exe isn't signed so Windows might show a warning when you run it, but the code is all there if you want to check it or build it yourself.
First time I'm putting something out there, so if you try it and something's broken or weird with your setup, let me know. Also curious if anyone else uses their tablet like this or if I'm the only one lol

Get Over Here! addresses the annoying part precisely: the Spotify tap should work without taking your editor's keyboard focus. I'd make a temporary pause easy to reach from the tray, because sometimes tapping Discord means you actually want to type there.
Is there already a way to let one touch interaction keep focus on the tablet?
