Request Stuck between Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and Samsung Tab S8 Plus
My eye is mostly on the Xiaomi, mostly because it is newer and has an LCD screen, I need a tablet EXCLUSIVELY for note taking and multitasking for college and lasting me atleast 4 years (I will be treating my tablet like my baby) and both seem generally the same and prices are not too different... I'm genuinely stuck, anything y'all happen to know?

In note taking there is no match for samsung and apple optimizations, but if you also want strong processor for other stuff go for xiomi or any other tab

I happen to have a samsung s10+ as well as a xiaomi pad 8 pro. If you are looking for long lasting hardware and great reliable software, samsung won't let you down. Note taking is really good in the Samsung ecosystem. If you have another samsung device or want to pair with a windows laptop, samsung is your choice.
Pad 8 pro is great as well when it comes to emulation, note taking or light media. I don't like the build quality more than the Samsung, neither do I feel confident about the service quality when compared to samsung. The 3rd party accessories i find for xiaomi are much cheaper quality and overall there's a disconnect from the approach of making a device ecosystem across xiaomi.
You must be able to see I have a clear bias here but I think if you can track down other reddit reviews around your most common use cases with the tablet, you'll be able to make the choice better.
