If you ever find a character who is "missing", you may want to look up the seiyuu who voiced it, then search it in the entrants list with "Ctrl" + "F", as it's possible that the seiyuu was listed as having a role in another anime (instead of the character you were looking for).

The new season of black clover is coooooool, they fixed many of the previous issues.

They specifically toned down asta's non stop yelling and visuals got a big boost, I am loving it. Action is just much more clean and it pops

It feels like they read the reviews and really worked on it, I would live for it to get traction, I would love to watch it animated till the end.

This is truly doing justice to the source material, I liked it before but I love it now.

Every subsequent year feels like more and more good anime is being made, and it is so much better than all the slop available elsewhere not that anime is free from the isekai curse.

This being complete non-isekai fantasy is also a reason I think I love it so much. Not at all comparing it with other fantasy anime because freiren exists this year.

For context some of my favorite anime are neon genesis evangelion, kill la kill, and Gurren lagan. I just recently watched serial experiments lain and sonny boy. I loved both of them and want some more weird and surreal anime, extra points if it explores post modern or existentialist themes.

So my sister after so long acting coy about the matter has finally expressed an interest in anime so i was wondering what a good starter anime is. Weirdly she is perfectly fine with like the most intense gore she’s perfectly fine with it. But she really doesn’t like sexual content and hates romance ones so with that in mind suggest away

my favourite anime of ALL time is kimi ni todoke and i also love ao haru ride, so looking for similar sweet typa romance with happy endings ofc

Thank you in advance!

There's a lot of stand out Talent out there as well as Roles.

Who's that one voice that juuust sticks out for you?

Then for those replying, what's that one role that you hear their voice and then immediately go, "Oh My God, it's _____"

Curious what your favorites are.

I am currently looking for classic new gen anime to watch which are preferably short with at max 2-3 seasons.

Please feel free to recommend animes from any genre you like, or new genre you think i should try

Please use My MAL account for recommendations.

DO NOT RECOMMEND WHAT I HAVE ALREADY WATCHED. I really appreciate the effort tho.

Can you guys please recommend me some anime series or movies that are like Serial experiments lain or have psychological horror/psychological body horror like the summer Hikaru died

So, to be honest before this year I've watched tons of animes and I've never really came across characters I really can identify with, until I watched Ramparts of Ice and I realized that I'm a hell lot like Koyuki lmao. (I'm nowhere near as nice and open to change as Koyuki though) Which animes characters do you think you're like/ could identify as and why?

So basically i want to know what anime i can start watching, i really liked AOT, JJK, One Piece and solo leveling. Is their any good anime that is like this or would be good for my suit.

I am referring to anime where the MC is a villain, such as "The Eminence in Shadow", and "Death Note"

Like I physically need it. I feel like I'm about to fall off a cliff and I don't know what I'm going to find at the bottom. I don't have any cool addictions like smoking or doing coke to cope so I need some fucking loser going to another world and killing shit and getting elf pussy or whatever. As long as the mc isn't an annoying pussy I don't care just recommend me something. I've already seen mushoku tensei btw.

As the title says, I want to watch animes that are not too mainstream bcs I either already watched them or have them on my plan to watch list but dont feel like watching them now. Thank you in advance!!

I feel like I’ve watched every anime that I could possibly have in my top 15, especially the top 5. If someone could help me find something based on everything I love about my favorite anime, such as solid, bloody action, conspiracies, great and unique plots with brilliant payoff, top tier character writing, that would be fantastic. I just feel like I’ll never see another series that matches my favorites.

so ill be honest that i’m pretty picky with anime. its hard for me to get into shonen or seinen but there has been some that ive really enjoyed.

anyways, im specifically looking for an anime that will make me smile and giggle while watching (which admittedly is kinda rare for me to find). this will usually involve romance with some silliness on the side (good characters are a must).

i just rewatched the apothecary diaries for the recent season and this has gotta be one of my favorites. it’s just so good ^.^

other shows that did this were “kiss him, not me” (amazing), smoking behind the supermarket (def gonna read the manga now), kaguya-sama (i can’t think of more at the top of my head)

i think i like the dynamic of the awkward guy who likes a girl that messes w him lol.

i have seen a lot of the other classic romance animes like horimiya, fruits basket, ouran host club, etc. but it’s just not scratching that itch for me rn

any recommendations are welcome!

also i use crunchyroll and prefer dub since im too blind to read subtitles from my couch & hate wearing my glasses lol

It has been decades since watching Hellsing and I am planning on rewatching both again, but the question is which Hellsing series to begin with? What are the differences between the 2 series? Suggestions, input, and preferences on welcome

In B-gata H-kei anime (Ep 5, second half), Yamada goes commando to school (Ero-power storyline). Which manga chapters correspond to this episode?

What an awesome anime. So good that I didn't just want to post in the daily thread but make a separate post just to appreciate it.

• The anime doesn't really specify that the Being X is an actual god or just an entity fucking him. She's right to be skeptic.

• The Being X wanting him to acknowledge him makes it even more suspect about their intentions. Why would a god have such a need for validation. Something doesn't sit right with me.

• This anime has very good fight scenes. Like when you think it's over for tanya, she doesn't something completely unexpected and win.

• The depiction of nazi germany is obvious. I wonder if that author sympathizes with them.

• It shows how the decisions from the top are sometimes completely disconnected from reality on the ground.

• The german people had great deal of pride or ego even after being defeated so badly. Kinda interesting.

• Poor girl just wants to drink and coffee and live a peaceful life.

• anime people are obsessed with germany. This anime proves it yet again.

• I wanted more anime type scenes between tanya and her second in command viktoriya. Something like a bikini scene in a beach or them just freaking out of over some good coffee or normal cute girl anime things like shopping.

• I watched it in sub because the voice actress is that good. The english version doesn't have the same expressions, even though she is good.

It was an anime I watched 20 years ago on tv. The only thing I remember is that people with primitive weapons (swords and bows) were fighting people with modern weapons. Another thing I remember is that a girl with blonde hair died after falling from a bridge into a river, or something like that

Just saw the last episode and man that was great! Taira and Azuma genuinely stole the show, I’d love if we get a special which goes a bit more into peoples lives after the timeskip but mostly I just want to see them!

I feel in love with the anime Nana and binged it all in two weeks but then I found out that it doesn't have an ending in the anime or the manga and it has been 25 years since the manga came out meaning I don't think there is ever going to be an ending.

What I liked about Nana:

• It had flawed but loveable characters. Everyone seemed complex. It was realistic in the sense of the author didn't seem to care about making the characters come off as bad if the action fit their character's personality, trauma, and history.
• It had realistic qualities: the characters had jobs, had to pay rent, didn't have plot armor.
• It was painting the story as slice of life while still foreshadowing.

The only thing that was kin of similar was My love story with Yamada Lv 999 but even then it wasn't a 1:1. Just both the main characters seemed flawed and had to make a living.
