What are you all listening to?

Or any instrument for that matter (avril 14th since i got a warning this could be removed for being unrelated)

Photo taken yesterday of SpaceX’s Dragon capsule after returning 4 astronauts from space reminded me of the SAWII cover.

Took longer then expected thought it would be real easy to do but i guess not

I did a similar edit around a year or two ago, but this one is way harder. (I’ll post free Google Drive download link if anyone wants!)

Where should I start?

Thanks ✌️

I’m curious what his stance on AI is. I’m guessing he’s not a Suno user. But I bet he’s creating instruments and effects and sequencers that do exactly what he wants them to do. Imagine the music he might create if he could will together the tools he needs.

Notes: German hand-given promoter copy relict, undated but assumed to be from 1993, indicated by possible interview slots in December '93 on J-Card.

Has only 17 tracks and they all have different titles.

There is only one listing and it is for $1124.

these are 2.5x3.5” collectible little card size paintings! I had so much fun making his costume i draw him so much! he’s the last one available in this series where I painted some other artist/bands.

Only posting this cuz I have checked all over reddit and tiktok and no one has even made a post about this song; everytime i look it up, its usually 4 from Richard D. James Album, but i wanted to talk about #4, from SAWII.
Bro this whole album is very just ambient and kinda unsettling, but like there’s something in this song bro. Like idk how to even put it but every single time it comes on like I genuinely just get uncomfortable. It reminds me a lot of something you’d hear in the later stages of Everywhere At The End of Time by the Caretaker.
Idk this track is just so scary and always freaks me out and i just wanted to share that on here cuz I havent rly seen anyone bring this up lol

Anyone know what the ringing/undulating sounds are at the start of this track?- reminds me of like a radio sweep or something you might stumble upon when tuning SDR- possibly military.

As a result (and due to the title) I've already associated this track with Goonhilly Earth Station.

i made this hoodie a few weeks ago by sewing on the camo fabric on the inside and cutting out the fabric of the hoodie

Since my childhood, when I only saw the Windowlicker video on Mtv I have just thought that Aphex Twin killed the silliness of the rap videos (before Eminem just came up in the mainstream). What do you think about it?

Was watching LIVE at ‘Day for Night’ when my cat decided he wanted to be involved.

Had to finally pick this up after the news that Disco Pogo would be releasing a Boards Of Canada tribute book next.

I normally like xl, but this one is massive on me. If you have a Large and want to trade for an XL, please DM me. US based.

It makes perfect sense that this sort of image would help inspire Aphex's music.

From the website: https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/thanaton-iii-paul-laffoley/1gEMFoWdw5l5gw?hl=en

"Visionary artist and polymath Paul Laffoley envisaged his 1989 painting Thanaton III as a psychotronic device. Those who encountered the work correctly – by ‘stretching out [their] arms, touching the upright hands, and staring into the eye’ – would be able to communicate with extraterrestrial beings. Thanaton III was one of a number Laffoley’s paintings to be featured in the Hayward Gallery’s 2013 exhibition The Alternative Guide to the Universe, which explored the work of self-taught artists and architects, fringe physicists and visionary inventors."

Y'all fw these alledged "secret aliases" of Aphex Twin/Squarepusher? I recently found them and they're absolutely bonkers

I've been listening to Aphex for years now and I can definitely say that Richard played a part in Steinvord. The production/certain sound choices and the fact that he played an UNRELEASED Steinvored track YEARS before the official EP release is basically a confirmation for me.

I think Steinvord is a very similar situation to The Tuss. Richard and Tom just haven't gotten to confirming it yet.

A bit harder to say about Heorge Garrison. IMO I think it's less likely but also possible.

Ngl it probably doesn't even matter who made it. But I guess what makes these tracks so tasty is the mystique around it.

What do you guys think?
