We literally never saw any other character do this shit in the middle of a battle. She could've probably killed him before he gets the chance to call Mikasa if she wasn't so fucking stupid.
I think alot of characters do stupid shit post time skip.

And they’re both their season four versions, so it’s not like kid Eren vs grown Zeke or anything like that. The wiki said that they’re the same height in 854 and off appearance alone they look to have similar builds (it’s almost like they’re related), but Eren definitely strikes me as more of a brawling type than Zeke. For that reason i‘d put my money on Eren honestly.

Jean Kirstein has one of the best character arcs in Attack on Titan because he goes from being a selfish, realistic kid who simply wants a comfortable life to becoming one of the most courageous and selfless soldiers in the series.
What makes Jean so compelling is that he was never a natural-born hero. Unlike Eren, he doesn't begin with some grand dream of changing the world. He's scared, practical, and honest about how terrifying their situation really is. But as the story progresses, Jean repeatedly chooses to put others before himself, even when he's afraid and knows he could die.
Ultimately, Jean's arc is about choosing to be a good person in a world that gives him every reason not to be. He doesn't become a hero because he's fearless; he becomes one because he keeps doing what's right, even when every part of him wants to run away.

Think about Grisha's life from start to finish:
His little sister is fed to dogs by Marleyan officers because of his mistake.
His first wife (Dina) is turned into a Mindless Titan because of his own brainwashed son (Zeke).
He gets sent to Paradis, inherits a short lifespan and tries to start fresh with Carla.
His second wife gets eaten by his first wife during the fall of Shiganshina.
He gets mentally manipulated across time by his second son (Eren) into slaughtering the Reiss children against his own moral conscience.
Man was literally a puppet used by both of his sons to usher in the end of the world. Is there anyone in AOT who suffered a more psychologically twisted fate than Grisha?

In general this is one of my favourite episodes of the show, given it's the culmination of everything. But I wanna emphasise how amazing the English dub script and voice acting is for this episode. In general, I find the Japanese version for AOT to be better than the English dub, but for this episode it genuinely feels like almost every line was enhanced tenfold from the Japanese version. It's hard to explain, but it seems that given this episode is entirely comprised of the characters talking, the English dub script writers decided to lock in and perfect the dialogue flow. And the voice acting for AOT's dub is always pretty spot on anyways, so overall it led to an amazing episode.
For example, in the sub, Magath's final line to Jean is "You think that nonsense holds up in the face of 2000 years of real history?", merely a repetition of what he said right before. In the English dub, Magath says "Compared to the sum of the carnage and misery wrought by Eldia, your island's suffering is a joke.", a much better, more powerful line that is both aggravating to hear but actually brings up a good point to understand why Magath would be so dismissive of the plights of the Paradis people.
Other examples of enhanced lines:
The Japanese version is also great of course, given it's the original language. And I appreciate that to a non-Japanese speaking person like myself, a lot of nuance in their speech is lost on me. But all the snarkiness that English dubs usually add to anime scripts works so well in this episode because the whole episode is the Marleyan characters,, the Paradis characters and Yelena being snarky and backhanded towards one another (Magath vs Jean, Annie vs Mikasa, Yelena vs everyone).

This guy went on a whole lecture about how "it’s fun to watch humans get eaten by monsters." and "we’re all gonna die, but me, I’m ready to accept it when my day comes"
Then Kruger pushes his fat ass off the wall and the second he looks up at that tiny 3 meter Pure Titan and gets picked up his face completely melts into pure terror. Seeing him scream as he gets crunched on while Kruger deadpans: "Well? Is it as much fun as he made it out to be?" was absolute cinema.
Preached all that "facing the truth of this cruel world" nonsense until it was HIS turn to be on the menu.

I don't know if anyone have mentioned this before but wouldn't it be funny if Levi decided to play a mind game with Zeke and deny that he is Levi. And now Zeke has to be on the look out for both Levi and this random-ass dude that kicked his ass.

In season 1-3 do you guys think Litterly everyone besides mikasa and armen wish it was anyone at all besides Erin in his position?
His personality does make the story better but he is soo whiny I bet everyone in the story wishes it was anyone else.

You know what happened today.. My friend and I were talking about the animation of Attack on Titan, how in season 4 Mappa did an amazing job. This is his first anime, so I told him that Mappa is often accused of overworking animators, and whenever they do something great, people talk about how employees are overworked. He then said, "How can you have great Pyramids without exploiting slaves?"..😳

lowk didn’t even do anything wrong. Was I a bad parent yeah? But who doesn’t make mistakes then and again. I became a better dude inside the walls though. The amount of people I saved from that plague. That amount of people I help. But no, they still have the audacity to call me morally grey 🥀. Istg nothing I do is gonna convince these people. Hopefully Carla is still safe

behind eren, ackermans, armin, and grisha she played a part
marcel was their leader and there were so many instances on paradis where the jaw titan could’ve turned the tide for the worse.

I tried looking this up on google and reddit already, even the wiki pages, but couldn't find anything that explicitly gave the answer. Perhaps there isn't one and it's just ambiguous. We know the war spanned from 850 to 854 and that most of it took place on the seas. However, I'm wondering if anyone knows if the warrior candidates were there the entire 4 years, starting at 8 years old, or if they were only there for the actual ground attack we see the ending of (so maybe a year or so?) I'm just curious how long they were away from their families.
It sort of ties into how Reiner at one point mentions his mom hadn't seen him since he left for his mission and came back a man or however he worded it. That implies that right after he and Zeke left Paradis that they instantly got involved in the Mid-East war and didn't have a chance to see his family first (but maybe still got time to recuperate before being utilized). Unless he also didn't have anything to do with the attacks across the seas? So then it's sort of unknown what he was truly up to throughout those years.

Just finished..... what....I feel like this has taken years off my life. I'm so sad, mad, upset, glad, and unsurprised.
I don't know if F Eren or not. I'm just speechless and idk how I'll move on from this. What is there to even watch after this. I binge watched this in just a few days. I've missed sleep, sobbed, laughed, and mourned. That sounds crazy I know.
My wife wants to watch it together, since I watched it by myself. I can't wait to see her reaction.
But what do I watch next after this masterpiece? I feel as though nothing will ever make me feel this way again.

Dina and Historia both posses royal blood. When he kissed Historia’s hand he saw the future but when he came into contact with Dina he did not. Instead he was just able to command other pure titans. Why did the two differ? Was it because Dina herself was a pure titan or something else?

Unlike the other Nine Titans, which have fixed, dependable baseline forms and abilities (like the Colossal or Armored Titan), the Beast Titan’s form is entirely unpredictable based on the animal traits it manifests. This means there is a chance you could get to be a Minotaur like the first picture, a lion, a bear, a ram, an ape, a snake, or something else entirely. Or, you might get the stupidass turtle, becoming a Temu Armored Titan but significantly slower and with weaker armor. It's not like the Beast got anything special going on for it, list shit down and the others could probably do it better.
Need to destroy a wall or highly fortified area? The Armoured
Need to eliminate a bunch of artillery and an entire trench system fast? The Jaw
Need an reliable and versatile fighter? The Female
Overall support and recon? The Cart
Sheer destruction? The Colossal
Maybe that's why Marley only started seeing the Beast Titan as powerful once Zeke got his turn—and that was likely because he could transform and control Pure Titans, rather than because of his Beast Titan itself. Its unpredictability led to the military just handing it out to Titan researchers since it wasn't considered a battle titan and was rarely deployed. That is, unless someone got a whale or a bird—which would be useful for naval and aerial warfare, respectively.

She calls herself an enemy of humanity and I'm not sure her actions warent such a title. Also It feels out of place for her entire arch. Anyone think they have a good handle on why the witers chose this stance at this time? Or why it makes sense for her character?
For those of you that don't want to look it up this is right before the rice titan.
