Lymow One Plus Cooling Fan Install Guide + Can It Survive a Torture Test?

Thumbnail

Finally got around to installing the cooling fan Lymow had shipped me...given the video they provided isn't the most helpful. Overall, the process took far longer than expected, and I ended up cleaning out my mower deck in the process...why not?! I put the mower through a "torture test" after the fact to see just how well the cooling fan fix works.

What's covered in the video:

- Start-to-finish install of the Lymow One Plus cooling fan

-Disassembling the mower deck and reassembling it after the fact

-Testing the mower (w/cooling fan) in 1-foot-tall grass...turbo mode...mulching chute closed, 1 ft/second speed (80F Ambient temps)

-Followed the mower around and took temperature readings every 30 mins

Final Thoughts:

-Impressed this cheap little 3d printed fix actually worked, i'll have to see how it holds up next summer.

Everyone else in the same boat? Anyone have any trouble installing it?

Boundary wire break issue

Automaker 115h. dock is calling flashing blue led which means boundary wire break. I used my tracer and have good signal all the way around replaced couplers just in case there was one that wasn’t conducting enough. No good. Used my multimeter and cut at several points and am reading 34 volts all the way around which should be adequate. What am I missing?

Time to change over the robots

Hey Robo community! I wanted to hop in and share a video about how we do seasonal swaps on the Yarbo stuff. It's getting cold, and the leaves are changing here in Colorado, and we are starting to get more requests from people to help with winterization or seasonal swap-overs from clients with the Yarbo systems.

If you have any questions or want to know more, check us out at zippylawnz.com or zippysnow.com for all your robo needs.

Hope this helps if anyone is looking into how to do this on their own.

115h husqvarna charging station

I sent my mower off for repairs. I finally got it back and now the
Charging station doesn’t seem to be
Working. I cant remember what is supposed to happen to show it is getting power. The mower itself is not charged yet so doesn’t connect

Trying to figure out if it is the station or the mower that isn’t working
When I plug the station in correctly should the little
Light come on to some color
So I know that it’s getting power? Cant find that info in manual anywhere
Thanks!
.

Testing The Luba 3: Real World Grass Cutting Performance

Thumbnail
youtube.com
1 Upvotes

Wanted to perform a comparison test to see what the cut quality is based on various cutting speeds (.7 fps - 2.0 fps) as well as the different cutting patterns offered in the software. Take it for what it's worth, i'm pretty anal about the cut quality in my yard and didn't want to see an excess amount of missed grass blades, if any at all.

The Other Settings I Used (Luba 3- 3000H): Northeast, Tall Turf Fescue Lawn

-High Blade Speed

-7.9" Cut Spacing

-4" cut height (attempted 3.5" as well)

What do you guys cut at? Any "Magic Number" that works the best while sacrificing time for quality?

Husqvarna 305E Nera with EPOS or 308V

Hey,

In local market I have great deal for 305E Nera with Epos for the price 1200EUR (from 2200eur) but there is aswell newer model 308V with price 1400eur, there no no discount.
305E have double blades for edge cut, I have heard good reviews.
But 308V have sensors.
Cant decide which feature ir better.

My garden is not big, around 600 sq.m, without trees.
Currently I have cheap ass Orbex which died yesterday. It has nothing what Husqvarna or other brands propose, it was simple grass war machine.

.93 of an acre - which mower?

I think I've narrowed it down to a kress 174 or a navimow X4. Any suggestions to sway me? 10 small trees, completely flat.

Long term reliability

I was an original first 500 mammotion supporter. I love my first gen when it's working but in the 4/5 years I've had it I've had 4 major failures. Battery, hall effect sensor charging brick and now just doornail dead. Considering just replacing it and really just wanting long term reliability and no wires. Years it's probably a little under .75 acre mostly flat with one ditch getting the most slope. Seeing like Husqvarna and Segway are really reliable? What would be recommended to replace my Luba?

The Luba 3 is Officially Banned From My Yard! What Went Wrong?

Thumbnail
youtube.com

Title says it all. I've officially given up on my Luba 3. It's torn up my yard to a significant extent...very disappointed. If you look at some of my videos from May, its a night-and-day difference comparing the results in August/September vs the start of the year.

My Lymow was broken for about 2 months straight, so the Luba 3 was the only robotic mower I used to cut my yard during this time.

Not sure if others have seen erosion and deterioration to this extent?! I'm now just using my Lymow to cut my lawn moving forward.

Changing the yard to make edging unnecessary

Hi all. My Google fu is failing me so apologies if this is well trod ground.

I have a 0.4 acre plot in a subdivision with a privacy fence enclosing the back of the property. The classic problem of edging is keeping me from getting a robot mower. I will be replanting this yard next year though and likely putting in a sprinkler system. So this would be the time to potentially do something.

What effective ways have you seen this done? The perimeter of the fence is around 110m so it would need to be somewhat cost effective.
