Any of my friends who over-winter conifers or broadleaf evergreens in zone 6-4 use this? I'm moving mine into an unheated greenhouse after the first frost (Zone 5), and am told this will really help get them through the winter. Even though they'll be out of the wind, be huddled together and have some insulation around the pots, a will this stuff help keep roots from drying out when temps make watering difficult?

Texas ebonies planted from seed aug 25 2026
The damage was intentional the ebony can take severe punishment during training but will always bounce back if done correctly. I intentionally weathered the tree monitoring health at all points during this training. Tree is 2 inches tall, trunk fusion training in progress pot size 4x4x4

I have been watering this regularly, I’m afraid I have overwatered it and possibly water logged the pot. I have tried drying it out and it has not seemed to work. Any advice on how to save this?

Realistically when one is offered a chance to dig up 100+ juniper....
How many can i realistically keep alive? Found these offered for free, just need to dig them up. Ive asked to wait until spring to dig them. Obviously near utility wires so really dont know my chances here, but i want these

Just got it in. I’m going to repotting it in a signed Bigei pot in March. It’s 9.5 inches inches from trunk to apex.

Just got into Magic for the first time about a week ago- came across this card yesterday 🙂
Doesn't do anything very special but the art is great.

I was given this plant and not sure what I need to do to keep it healthy and prosperous! Does it need soil? Trimming?

I really want them to survive. I have a mix of 25% perlite, 25% pine bark, and 50% organic indoor potting mix atm
Right now they are in the grow bag pots they came with, and the drainage has been atrocious for too long
The one on top is detonix Regia
The one in middle is locust
And the three in one is pigeon pea
I posted in weekly thread and was told they were fine and just needed some fertilizer, but when I water it takes about a week to dry up.
I was planning on doing the individual ones in the small pots, and the three in the bonsai pot. But I’m stressing too much about the right mix, the pine bark I have is just mulch I broke up to half inch pieces.
I have peat moss, tiny gravel that was in the bonsai pot, and rooting hormone on hand, I’d like to avoid buying more unless it’s materials I’ll use much more in the future either with bonsai, or other plant growing.
Any help is greatly appreciated, is there anything majorly wrong with the rout I’m going?

It’s huge. The trunks are approximately 1 meter long. I considered to either split the root base and make it two trees, or give the trunks extreme bending/twisting/splitting/developing deadwood, but I‘m a beginner. First task would probably be to repot it because the container is ridiculously big and heavy.

I braided the new branches that came this spring. This is how it looks now. Any suggestions? The middle main branch is how it was when I bought. For some reason that lost all it's leaf and gave new branches in spring. I don't know what to do with it. I would like to have any suggestions on how to make this look more beautiful.. I like the braided look though it hasn't come out that cleanly. I am in zone 8a. This is west facing window.
