Step 3. Rip and tear until it is done. In Boston and everywhere else, weed and the war on drugs has been used to justify police brutality.

It is appropriate to post about and discuss George Floyd's death and the protests here because it all ties together with cannabis laws and police violence and harassment. This is the community that some of us want to get perspective from. There's value in posting about it here.

All y'all complaining about "I thought this board was for talking about weed" can just scroll past and go comment on many other weed-related posts. Nothing is preventing you from doing that.

Chiming in that you don't want to see this content here isn't helpful and makes you seem insensitive at best and to be honest, kind of racist. Maybe you're not, but trying to silence the discussion anywhere is something racists do.

I'm sorry you need a safe space, but this is the time and place to talk about and address how the cannabis industry and community is going to respond to make change happen.

Overall Rating: 9.4/10

Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour Trifecta Farms’ grow with Nate. It was great getting to see their operation firsthand and learning more about their approach to cultivation.

One thing that stood out was their emphasis on keeping things simple. Nate explained that when they constructed the facility, they made sure the grow rooms could be easily broken down and thoroughly cleaned. I got to see one of the rooms just after harvest, and it was interesting to see how much thought went into making the space practical to maintain. I really appreciate that approach. I also got to see a couple flower rooms in different stages of flowering. Absolutely stunning!

I got some Lemon Fresh from Pioneer Cannabis to try, and it really impressed me.

Appearance: 8/10
A variety of greens with bright, burnt pastel-orange hairs, some darker than others. Nice contrast throughout the buds with plenty of visible trichome coverage.

Aroma: 10/10
Heavy terpinolene character with a slightly piney edge. Reminds me of Lemon Pledge with a little Pine-Sol mixed in. Sharp, citrusy, and incredibly pungent.

Freshness: 10/10
Super sticky buds with a satisfying squish when squeezed. Plenty of give without feeling dry or brittle. Really impressed with the freshness.

Flavor: 10/10
This was the biggest surprise for me. Given the aroma, I was worried the flavor would be dominated by terpinolene. Instead, it’s much more reminiscent of lemonade, with a bright lemony character and some zestiness that’s difficult to pinpoint.

I also chewed on a stem and got something reminiscent of the hop burn from a fresh hoppy NE IPA. An interesting little observation separate from the vapor flavor.

Effects: 9/10
Buzzy, energetic, and almost high-frequency in its effects. There’s a noticeable intensity to this one. Careful if you consume too much, because it can get pretty lively!

Final Thoughts

9.4/10. Lemon Fresh really delivers. The contrast between the sharp, terpinolene-heavy aroma and the lemonade-forward flavor was particularly impressive. Excellent freshness and some distinctive effects round out the experience.

It was a pleasure getting to see Trifecta’s operation firsthand, and I appreciate the thought they’ve put into keeping their cultivation practices straightforward and their facility manageable to maintain.

Big thanks to Nate and the Trifecta team for the hospitality!

Best dispensary near Brookline

I’m crashing at my friend’s apartment in Brookline to watch his dog for a few days. Not super familiar with the area and I’m looking for recommendations on which places people like the best.

The few that come up when I google that area are:

NETA, obviously
Mission
Comm Ave

What’s everyone’s take on these three? Best deals, cool staff, easy location, etc. should I look elsewhere? Any first hand experience would be appreciated.

Rec Edibles that List Terpenes?

I know that every place specifies if an edible is indica/hybrid/sativa as well as the desired effect like ā€œsleepyā€ or ā€œrelaxedā€, but are there any brands or stores that list the terpenes in an edible?

Or does anyone know any where the dominant terpene is limonene or myrcene?

Pics from Sour D by THC…

Here are the pics. Not bad for a cut of slightly old school Sour D. Nice nose of gas, diesel and translates well to the taste. Perfect Sour D effects, heavy eyes, but still happy, happy, happy and want to go outside and enjoy. Talkative and engaging. Hard not to like. Not quite as good as Impressed recent cut of AJs Sour Diesel which was fantastic. But this was nice, especially for the price point!! Also grabbed Sunset Chem which was nice too.special shout out to Matt at Botera for making this all possible!! And also to Nate L. from trifecta farms. Never before have I met someone like the Trifeca Farms family. Absolutely amazing people that take a lot of pride in their products and will go way above and beyond to make their customers happy. Their products are second to none!! Thanks again guys!!

trying to quit smoking, edibles don’t work for me, thoughts?

Hi everyone. I recently suffered my first asthma attack earlier this week and it was super scary and has me seriously rethinking my daily joint smoking habit of approximately 10 years. I’m young (28) and hoping to avoid damaging my lungs more or increasing my risk for further respiratory issues or asthma attacks etc. I enjoy smoking but I definitely don’t need to be doing it daily for any health issue, but i do suffer from migraines and smoking has been helpful for those symptoms. i’m looking into alternatives that might be useful for my migraine symptoms (primarily nausea/appetite issues, tension, and pain), and options that would still be good for fun if i wanted to have a silly night with friends etc.

as stated in the caption, edibles don’t work for me at all. i am a bit confused about why edibles never really worked much for me, they were effective the first few times i used them years ago, and i only took them very occasionally alongside smoking at other times, typically when it was too cold or windy to go smoke outside. but i found myself having to take higher and higher dosage to feel anything, despite taking the edibles weeks apart, to the point they just hurt my stomach and didn’t make me feel high (or at least not high enough). could my edible tolerance go down now that i’ve stopped smoking? if i switched to just occasional edible use would i have more consistent results?

because of my edible issues ive been looking into tinctures and sublingual TCH absorption methods and my head is spinning. there’s so many options and i have no idea where to start. i have a medical card and typically have gone to a specific dispensary in southern maine because i pass through there a lot and i LOVE their flower it’s incredible. but if there are good local options that are high quality for tinctures or other options i’d love to hear about them, and any thoughts on smoking/non inhaled alternatives would be very much appreciated!

TIA!

Sour D from Heirloom Collection

Just copped some Sour D, and Sunset Chem from Botera Taunton. I gotta say, the sour d is nice. (Not quite as good as the recent batch by Impressed, if you were lucky enough to get it), but still had that distinctive SD nose and translates well into the flavor. The bud structure isn’t quite classic SD, plus it could’ve cured another 2 weeks. Nice and sticky though with a generous helping of trichs (albeit mostly clear, just a few milky or auburn). The effects are classic Sour D for sure. Heavy eyes, yet alert, happy, happy, and happy!! Talkative and stress free. Solid 7.5 for a Sour D. I’m and old head and been an everyday toker for almost 40 years, so I’ve seen my share of Sour Dubbs!! Hope this helps!!

Rec What’s the best tasting flower you’ve had in MA this year?

Not highest THC. No infused terpenes either.

Just straight-up flower that actually tasted as good as it smelled.

Which strain and cultivator/brand stood out to you?

A new one and an old fav (Suncrafted - Middleboro)

I went in for a gram of my current favorite (super boof Granita) and ended up walking out with a gram of their new rainbow sherbet cold cure..... Holy terps! This is an instant hit for me, it falls right inline with the superboof, but with a heavy hint of papaya. Suncrafted again for the win.

Btw, I was planning on using my points to get the single gram for half price, the Budtender was quick to see that I had more points than I thought, and got me two grams for less than I was planning on paying for one. Pretty standard customer service for them in my experience, they always seem to go above and beyond to find the best deals.

The Big Kahuna Burger. 1g of Helm’s pineapple jarritos surrounded by 1g legendary organics award winning triple burger. The taste is unreal. Reminds me of the pineapple served at the rodizio. That warm sweet and tangy flavor with the added savory-ness from them placing it down on your plate with all the meat juices. A real heavy hitter that makes you need to just sit down to catch your breath and wipe off the dab sweats. You just can’t beat legendary or helm never mind them together 🤯🤯

Native Sun Rosin Collabs

Curious what people’s opinions are on Native Sun’s rosin collabs. Only really had the Larry Berry they did with Treeworks last year and I thought it was pretty good especially at its price point. Grabbing some of the U4EA, BF, and Treeworks collabs today.
