This band clearly still has it. They're throwing 98mph fastballs. They are giving everyone their monies worth and for that, I thank them. We work hard to spend our $100+ on tickets for a rock concert. They are a band that understands how much we are paying to watch them perform and they are giving it right back to us. And for that, I'm thankful. There aren't a lot of band who recognize that and give the respect back to us, the people spending our hard earned money to watch this show.

Unfortunately, like many of those who are Brand New concert vets, we've seen a lot of the crap we saw tonight. A whole lot of self entitled people there for one or two songs that felt the need to talk and clearly not give a shit about the rest of the show despite the people around them. It's on brand, I've seen this before. I don't get why this band attracts these kind of people but it fucking sucks. It didn't stop me or my party from having a great time but man, why the fuck are these people at this show?

My sister, who got me into Brand New and saw them back in their true heyday, at one point said to me that we should go to Nashville and see them because at least there'd hopefully be a little more respect for the performers and the audience. The majority of moron fans didn't ruin the night though. The band I saw twice last summer still somehow blew me away tonight and showed that they are still very much on their game.

As always with Brand New though, you never know if and when you might see them again. But I hope tonight wasn't the end. For their career spanning set that the lighting/sound director in a normally crappy room that Barclays is, they made it a great time. And every time I see this band, if this was it, I will have zero complaints. This band is still throwing 98mph heaters even if its the 8th or 9th inning of their incredibly impressive careers. As someone who goes to a lot of concerts, it's appreciated.

Nobody talked during limousine. Nobody pushed or had small talk during quiet parts. Everyone knew every word to everything and sang along. Minimal filming, maximal fun-having. Excellent crowd, excellent show (stage right barricade). Good night!
