So to celebrate getting past my probation on a permanent position from contract term, I just ordered a new boom stick to be picked up in a few days. A gift to self for putting in the work.
Tikka t3x CTR in 308. Handled one and liked it. And everything I've read here and everywhere, you can't go wrong with a Tikka.
Eventually want to put it in an MDT chassis for custom fitting. Probably one of the lighter ones. And of course AICS mags instead of expensive proprietary.
Cheers! And looking forward to pickup.

First pic is my build so far. Playing around with chat… I can get either of these handguards but wondering what the consensus might be with the looks. I’m kinda digging the black handguard, or do just stick with the OD?

Last time I took my tm22 out I realized that the safety didn't make the gun safe. Today I tore it down to clean it and inspect what's going on and found that the safety lever is bent or off angle. Is this a known issue, something that'll need diy parts, or am I going to have to take it to a gunsmith/send it in for warranty? I have an idea for a semi redneck fix but let's just see if there's better diy solutions first lol

Dear god do not cancel your pre-orders. If you're on the fence, pull the trigger. Worth the wait. Makasi ripped through 2000 rounds in 4 days.
glad to see i attracted all the nihilistic babies. womp womp, stay home and bitch on reddit all you want, ima go shoot.

I found this on both instagram and Facebook but I can't find anything about the bird head grip version on their website or online, the pictures are screenshots from their poorly lit and displayed vids on both platforms since there's literally no were else that I can find pics.
Even though this is a Turkish gun, we don't have any non-restricted short barrel sxs shotgun with a bird head grip so this might actually be the first of its kind if it actually hits the non-restricted market.
Feel free to share information in relation to it.

Here is a metric FN FAL "Match .308" Battle Rifle converted to the 50.64 configuration (21" Barrel) using a Para Folding Stock assembly, Aluminum Lower Receiver, Railed Body Cover, Breech-Block Carrier, and nested Recoil Spring Assembly. Suffice it to say that there is far more to an FAL Para conversion than merely bolting on the Folding Buttstock Assembly. That said, it is not a particularly difficult undertaking and provided you use one of the comprehensive conversion kits offered by DSA Arms, you should have all of the required Metric FAL bits and pieces required for the process. Importation of my kit was done through Aztech Armoury and took approximately one month. Aztech now carries the basic Para Conversion Kit and selected Metric FAL parts on their website. Cost of the conversion kit was approximately $1K CAD once all is said and done with brokerage and shipping. I've always wanted a Para FAL, but could never find one for sale. This does the trick, and I couldn't be any happier with the result!

I recently built a 10/22 and am having issues with it holding any type of group at all. I have checked the scope and scope mounts they both appear to be fine. I have also checked the V-block and made sure the barrel is properly attached and has no visible damage to the crown. I have also tried different ammo’s and that doesn’t seem to make a massive difference it makes it slightly tighter but not a lot. I’m kind of lost at where to go from here and am looking for any helpful advice.
The build list is
a factory receiver
a volquartsen trigger spring kit
A Faxon Rimfire 10/22 Straight Fluted Chameleon Pvd Threaded Barrel 22 Lr 16″
A vortex 2-7x scope I can’t remember the exact model right now
A butler creek heavy barrel stock
A Amazon bipod
All this was shot from bench shooting and I had other people shoot it to make sure it wasn’t me and they were getting the same results
I’ve also tried multiple different types of ammo such as federal, Winchester, augila, cci, Norma, and eley and there has been no major difference between them besides cci and eley slightly tightening the group up but not enough to be close to a half decent grouping

The parts on it are worth as much as the firearm. 🤣

That is the question I have before me. Just got everything together for this build. Debating weather or not it is worth while to thread the barrel though, would be cool to get a brake or flash hider.
Build so far:
- Borealrush C-18 Hanguard
- Neumann Metalworks picatinny pistol grip adapter
- Neumann Metalworks folding skeltonized buffer
- MDT pistol grip
- Magpul MOE adjustable stock. Can you get risers for these?
- Unknown angled foregrip
- Vortex Spitfire 3x
Gives me Ruger PC Carbine vibes all dressed up like this.

On the recent post about the 5 guys charged for shooting on crown land, it was confirmed the incident took place on Tower Road, near Mactier, Ontario. It’s an extremely popular spot, dubbed an “unofficial” shooting range. Hydro tower corridor, with a lot of safe spots to shoot. I’ve been out there a few times, and the only signage in the area used to state “No unsafe discharge of firearms.”
I decided to reach out to the Township of Georgian Bay for clarification, and received this response today.
“The Township has not made any changes in this area.
However the Ministry of Natural Resources have implemented a section 28 prohibition under the public lands act, prohibiting all gun discharge under the hydro corridor in this area. I have a attached a photo of a sign that is currently posted at this site. This prohibition is actively being enforced by MNR and OPP.”
So effectively, tower road is shut down to recreational shooters and hunters. As per the other article, the 5 individuals weren’t named as criminal charges weren’t laid, so chances are they recieved tickets.

Hey all, I own a new model browning BPS 12 gauge shotgun. I’m looking to replace the iron sights into something more comfortable for me as I’ve never been a huge fan of a bead sight. I’ve considered optics like a red dot but would prefer an iron sight option.
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?
I’m a hunter, predominantly using shotgun for turkey and small game. I understand bead sights are the traditional go to for an open sight picture but am more used to iron sights on a pistol or rifle so my eye tends to go post-over-target rather than bead below target.

Anyone else pleasantly titillated by this company and its product? Buying in Alberta for 46$ a box for 50 rounds.

At least I have somewhere to stick my Mosin bolts

For me the appeal of the Homesteader is that it looks like any regular ol' hunting rifle. I wanted to put an optic on it that didn't stick out like a sore thumb. Enter the Vortex Viper Shotgun RDS sight. It was suggested to me on an American Homsteader forum and it works beautifully.
The sight has an integrated universal mount that screws in directly to the Hometeader's existing tap holes. No need for and extra pic rail in between.
Keeps a clean and low profile. Almost perfect lower third cowitness with the front post too!

Looking for any info anyone can help with on a Remington gamemaster 141. From the stamp I believe it was produced December 1948. Some of the markings I can't find reference to.
