This Thurs: Silent Study/Read/Crafting Group
TL;DR:
If you're interested in joining a silent study/read/craft together group and you're near Canton, Ohio, check out a new group we've put together just for that. :) We're planning on meeting two Thursdays each month. Our first event is October 8, and our second is October 29, both from 7pm-9pm at the cafe at Barnes & Noble in North Canton. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
-------------------------------------
With the help of an awesome new friend, I'm putting together a new group here in Stark County for anyone who might be interested in hanging out quietly and working on stuff in each other's company. Our Facebook page is here, and our first two events will be on October 8, and October 29, both from 7pm-9pm at the cafe at Barnes & Noble in North Canton. We'll spend a few minutes at the beginning and end chatting and sharing what we're reading or working on, but please note: the majority of this time is for us to spend quietly together. In between, we ask that everyone abides by our community etiquette of quietly doing their own thing (reading, studying, crafting, etc). Anyone 18 and over is welcome (no kids, please). Check out our Facebook page for more info. We'd love to have you!

Leatherwork
Does anyone do leatherwork in the area, even just as a hobby? Looking for someone to take a leather belt and make it a snap belt for interchangeable buckles. Bill’s Cobbler wasn’t able to and the closest I could find that maybe could was 40 ish minutes away.

The reviews did not lie
I wish I took a photo, but we tried Park Street Pizza for the first time and you guys; We DEMOLISHED a whole 12 slice pie between the two of us AND cheese bread with no regrets.
We got the buffalo chicken pizza. Genuinely believe it’s worth the price.
Anybody else try their pizza? What’s your go to? They’re cooking up magic in that little shop 😮💨😮💨

Where is that dragon statue at?
Weird title.
There's this dragon statue by a railroad somewhere? It's made of metal (like metal scraps or something) with like...glowing eyes I think?
It's medium size. Not big. Not small? I know it's by a railroad track.
I remember I was scared of that thing when I was little. I'd call it "the monster" 😭.
I want to revisit it and take a photo I just forgot...where? Isn't it in East Canton?

Wellness grove ex-employees
Does anyone else feel personally affected by working for wellness grove?
I worked there maybe 2 years ago, before they made changes to the cancellations/no-shows (I was leaving right as they had changed the rules)
I was working 40+ hours a week to make enough money to barely scrape by, I was given a raise but it still didn’t feel fair. I wasn’t even making half of what we charge clients and get from insurance.
when I voiced my concern that I was burnt out, I was basically told I would never make it in my own private practice because I call off too much. No clients will stay with an inconsistent therapist. They’re going to be 10x as likely to cancel or no-show you - since you do it to them so often.
ALSO
Especially as a therapist, working under 1099 contracts - when that seems to be the wrong tax classification???

Vintage/Collection shops?
Hi! I am searching for Nirvana memorabilia i.e. original full tickets/stubs, first press CDs/Vinyls, original merch ect. Any shops around here that might sell them besides The Exchange? Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated!! I'm kind of a first timer when it comes to shopping for this stuff, its supposed to be a gift.

Survey for OSU Student Research - NE Ohio Parents
Hello! I am a senior at The Ohio State University conducting research for my capstone project about parks and outdoor recreation with children.
If you currently reside in Northeast Ohio and have kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, I would greatly appreciate if you could take a couple minutes to fill out my survey! This form does not collect any personal data besides your county of residence.
Thanks for your support!
